If something is making you unhappy that is reason enough to change universities if you are able to. While this was a good video to watch and will help someone else that may want to transfer, don’t feel the need to justify yourself to others if something is making you unhappy. Hope you’re doing a lot better now x

Oh wow, Faith firstly I want to congratulate you. I’m sure it wasn’t an easy decision and judging by your very valid reasons it was an important one to make, but seeing you come out of it so strong to be able to tell your story makes me so happy. You definitely seem a lot happier here and I guess another bonus is having Austin at the same uni, which I’m sure is a nice perk :) But in all seriousness, I’m so proud of you! I feel like I’ve known you and can relate to many aspects of your personality, and have come to think of you as a distant friend :) Your content ALWAYS puts a smile on my face and is what I look forward to every day, as I can relate with the dark thoughts through this pandemic. I just want to say - keep doing and loving what you do, you’re an incredible human (infinitely more so for sharing your vulnerability and story with us!) and deserve all the happiness and success. Lots of love!

Neha, I don't know what to say. This is perhaps one of the kindest comments I have ever received, and I can't express my gratitude to you for your words. It's the lovely people in this community, like you, who kept me going through those times. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

the way I relate to this. I transferred colleges too after three semesters in the wrong major. It changed the rest of my life as well as my perception of my self. It helped me grow and become better in the best way possible. So glad you took that decision.

Awe Mythili I am so glad you found the right spot for yourself even after a while in the wrong college. I completely agree that is has been life-changing, and it is *so* heartwarming to hear from someone who has been through the same thing. Thank you!!

The covid thing you shared here is relatable. Every single thing is relatable. It was such a bad phase for us.

It was definitely a hard period for pretty much everyone on earth.

Universities requiring you to live on campus and only having "dorm" options is a HUGE deal! My university required me to live on campus for 3 years and had the same set up and I hated it, it drastically changed my ability to "prepare" being an adult

I completely agree! It was honestly such a negative for me, even though it seemed like a small deal to most people. Quality of life is important when it's years of ones life haha. Thank you for sharing, I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one who felt this way

Even though I’m very happy with the uni I go to, I think this video was still really helpful in the sense that you listed important reasons for making sure that I’m in the right place, almost like a list to tick off. And a big yes to putting your health (physically and mentally) first and to listen to your heart! I’m happy for you that you’re feeling much better now! 🧡

Awe I'm so glad to hear that honestly! I didn't want this video to feel to negative or complain-y, so it's lovely to hear that it came across in a positive light for you. I wish you all the continued best at your Uni, and thank you for being here Marlies!

Faith, I had no idea how rough last year was for you, my heart goes out to you. I think a lot of us really struggled with that phase of the pandemic. That was around the time I discovered your content and I'm so glad I did, it was exactly what I needed at the time. It helped me remember to be grateful, to take time in nature and to see the beauty in the small things, all of which was really difficult to do at that time. I can't imagine how difficult it would have been to keep up all your content creation on top of full time study, especially during a dark time, but it was so appreciated 🥰

Aofie, you have no idea how much that comment means to me. In a way, my page and the content I was creating was an escape from that dark place I was in, and I will never cease to be grateful for the wonderful people such as you that it has brought me closer to. This comment will keep me going even on the hard days, thank you

I loved my large state university that I went to. We also had ~30K enrolled. I remember many people in high school wanted a smaller university, so they weren't "just a number." But I never felt like that I was just a number.

I feel the exact same! Here I feel like there are enough people that I can be myself and have an infinite supply of like minded peers to be with. I definitely prefer it! :)

I can see why you wanted to transfer! Uni should be enjoyable as well as a place of learning and tbh, I don't understand why your old uni didn't let you all stay at home and study online if they were going to isolate you that much 🥺 In Australia we were locked down for ages in basically house arrest, and I had a similar experience where I couldn't see anything to look forward to. It was a very bad time and as an adult, I have a lot of sympathy for young people over the past couple of years ❤

Yes, I remember seeing people I know on social media really struggle in lockdown in Australia. You guys were so strong, and I honestly admired your country's tenacity even in the hard bits. I'm glad you all have been able to return mostly to normal lately. Thank you so much for your kind words and for being here Emma!

I am a non-traditional recent college grad (also has only child syndrom and a introvert). If I could offer any advice is this: You have to be happy and thrive outisde of the classroom. An education is nothing if you are brought so low and your mental health is at risk. Make a list of priorities for yourself and do not settle. Faith, you should be so proud of yourself for transferring. Admitting something is not working and making moves to change that is a huge deal not only in college but in life itself! Keep up the great work and enjoy the rest of your semester.

I think all of your reasons are legitimate. It wouldn't have made sense for you to remain in that ultimately unhealthy situation for the remainder of your studies. I'm happy you made the best decision for you and that you are feeling more comfortable here!

Faith thank you for sharing your journey🌻You’re incredible🙌🏻I didn’t live same issues like you but with my professor. I graduated and excited to study master at same university ~i love my university~. But for year and a half i was bullied by my professor. I almost hadn’t graduated. I didn’t realize at first (bullying) because most of the time i felt numb. I thought that I was guilty. She blamed for everything went wrong and i blamed for me too. I lived with imposter syndrome all the time. Then depression hit me and wasn’t good. I have never been so low in my life. So I completely understand you. It took me a really longtime to recover. I’m still healing. I feel good. Now I’m doing my PhD same university but with different professor. So far so good. I hope things will get better all of us who have a painful journey🧡🤎🧡
