I don't think you've missed a thing, to be honest. You traveled a large swath of the world at your young age! You also have more skills than most learn in a lifetime. I laughed at how you mentioned it's now officially bread season after you've been baking it for the past 6 months!😂 You inspire many, Isabel.
You're absolutely right! I have for lunch on the life he's living and all the videos you shared with us so I think it's very interesting life you living ❤ I see the Beauty 😮😍
@Rick Nice Comment dude .......... She is at an age where many are torn between becoming " adults " or remaining a " kid " .......... most people go through that at some point, finances dictate most decisions it seems ...... anyway ... nice comment ...
Like many, I had to be responsible and work for a living to pay bills and mortgage. I was still able to enjoy life, responsibly and level headed. Huge learning process, though. :)
You've lived a truly amazing life so far. I was homeless at 15 and my mentally disabled brother was with me. My parents were alcoholics and drug addicts and decided they didn't want us anymore. I was forced to grow up quickly and I worked hard, learned to cook basic things, had to build a basic shelter hidden in small forest, etc. I missed all the things that most teenagers and young adults experience. That's okay because today I own my own business, I'm married to a wonderful lady, I have everything I ever needed and I have great friends. I'm happy and loving life. From my perspective Isabel, you've missed very little and you turned into a beautiful young lady. My wife and I adore you and look forward to your videos. In a world filled with hate, you are a bright light filled with love and compassion.
Wow, I am impressed that was an inspiring message for all to hear. We have to be thankful, grateful, for who we are what we have in life because in the blink of an eye we never know it could be all taken from us. The experiences we have in life some we make happen is what developed us in to who we are. We will all make mistakes in life, when we know better we do better. People who have drug addictions, alcohol addictions that is the love of their life. They don't love, respect, their self's or they wouldn't go there. I am so proud of you. You deserved better you have it, congratulations you have every right to be proud of your self. You never allowed your mother, father, scar you for life, that is a remarkable accomplishment. I must say. I think you had a guardian angel watching over you your brother. Thank you for sharing a bit of your story, you touched my heart I have a feeling of love, respect for you. You are helping others if you share your story, bring them some hope , piece of mind knowing it can get better. We need people like you to give public talks at schools because today their is so much abuse happening to children they are living it for years with out telling or getting help. Writing a book would be good therapy for you as well as others. Thank you for sharing. I am so happy you have a wonderful. Life now.
@@mildredmorine745 Thanks for your kind words. I have spoken many times at schools, shelters, corporate meetings, churches and a jail. When I retire, I plan to do a lot more speaking. I don't charge anything and my message seems to help most people. I started writing a book a few years ago and I hope to finish it soon. Thanks again.
You're not in a 9 to 5 job like the majority of us so enjoy, you are very lucky and have a lovely life. Everyone has their troubles but you are ahead of the game and you have time out and get to have freedom, the most precious gift of all.
Isabel it was so amusing to me to hear you say that you worry that you wasted your twenties working too hard, whereas I often lament the fact that I wasted my twenties being reckless and wish that I had been more focused and disciplined 😂
Honey, you didn't miss anything! Home is definitely the best place to ever be! You have your garden, off-grid, non EMF home, animals, trees, water , your sewing machine, stylie oven and Logan! You are living in heaven! Pat yourself on the back for living THE DREAM and getting there SO young!! Most everyone in the world would love to be living your life. You are an inspiration!! There really isn't anything else to do but allow yourself to ENJOY. Cheers to you, Logan and your family!! 💖⭐💖
I honestly have to tell you what a beautiful woman your mother is and how awesome it is to see a natural beauty in an age of so many woman getting cosmetic surgery… it’s almost like an oddity to see true natural beauty and aging graces.
Isabel.. you are STILL young! 😊 if you didn't do what you did early on you wouldn't have all the knowledge now to look back on and realize what your contemplating now 😅 you enjoy life even when you think your not. Be thankful your not stuck in the city working a couple jobs just to exsist. Your living a great life.. people admire it even if you don't see it.
I love that you are cooking your own food, not constantly on social media and you get outside a lot. These things are so healthy and in a world full of negativity, you are shining a bright, positive light. You’ve inspired me to try to make sour dough bread.
One thing I love about Isabel is… she never sells herself short. She has a multitude of skills, from baking, hiking, sewing, building, and the list goes on and on 😂. I guess one thing I’ve learned is you have one wild precious life and you can do all of the things. Thanks for being you and sharing such a beautiful journey.
I love your videos and perspectives. You’re not any different from the rest of us. Working since we were old enough to work, having highs and lows, growing older and having regrets. Believe me when I say your life is a very good one. You could be 54, working six days a week, getting ready to file bankruptcy and being alone except when you’re at work. I live life thru your videos so I’m thankful for you.
Wonderful video, Isabel. Your cinematography is amazing. It was so worth waiting for and so relaxing to watch in this disappointing world we are now living in. You do things in such old fashioned ways, it’s honestly like going back in time and watching my mom making, mending and baking, over 5 decades ago. Logan is a lucky bloke. Talk about appealing to his stomach ha ha! And what can I say about that beautiful little kitten, just gorgeous. I’m half crippled and walk with sticks. Oh how I wish I could walk up some of those hills and watch those fabulous sunsets. Looking forward to the next video. God bless you! 👍
I am 63 yrs old & girl - You simply amaze me - GOD BLESSED YOU - I also cannot get over the edited stunning views - I capture them to my photos as they are just so calming & so absolutely beautiful. I can’t thank you enough for producing this channel - what a delight & btw don’t fret - your living your best life daily & pray for many more to come with all those you love & want in your life - take care look forward to the next visit Ms. Isabel
The stuff poor Logan gets dragged into.. haha. Like why not do the hike in the summer or pitch the tent lower down the mountain? Makes life exciting though!
At least you have a creative job that can take you to see beautiful sights, cook, sew etc! You do have to get behind a screen to edit but your job offers flexibility. You can film anything, create from anywhere. Many of us are stuck in 9-5 jobs behind a screen with not a lot of time to focus on our passions 💕 I think many of us can relate to living on autopilot, working constantly and striving for the future we yearn for.
I think it's great you took a month off. It's ok to put the camera down, not worry about angles, best views, editing, and just immerse yourself in the moment and enjoy the experience.
I am glad to see you back with a beautiful video. You have a magical life and I wish even at my age to experience such kind of life. The bread making, pies, soups and coffee, I can almost taste it haha. Beautiful life Isabel, lucky you. As the saying goes, live life well 🌿🌿🌿
The jacket turned out so well! I watched this video whilst hand-sewing the binding on a quilted vest I'm making - so cool to be connected through craft 🧵
First, I am glad you are well. So you are staying this winter! Have you sorted out where you are going to park your car, when you are snowed-in? What you bake can never be found in a bakery, you would have no trouble selling what you bake. Your mother did okay on the climb to the top. Stay safe, love from Mike. ❤
What a beautiful, magical life❤️ Be proud of yourself for mastering these skills, sewing, baking, filming ect. From where I’m looking you seem very free indeed!
I love this video!! Your filming and editing is stunning. As one who is in her 6th decade of this wonderful life, I just want to tell you that all the things you have done in your life, both good and bad, is what you were meant to do. It's one long, amazing journey, this life. Try not to be hard on yourself. Take the time to appreciate who you are. I look forward to your winter videos!
Thanks for the video. It reminded me of a cold night I spent trying to sleep on Mt. Shasta years ago. :) I put on everything I had and finally fell asleep at some point in the early morning. I think many people find it easy to value the road not taken, and not fully value the road taken, speaking for myself at least. :) Blessings to you and your loved ones. Cheers.
It is kind of puzzling to me that I hear so many young people think they gave their lives up to work hard. It’s called adulting! I know it’s a different generation but if every young person felt this way the world would just fall apart. I never have gotten to travel the way you do. I went to college, and had my career in nursing, raised twins with my husband from the time I was 24 and retired young. Unfortunately my health got in the way so my mobility isn’t what I hoped. That is why I watch you. I live vicariously through all of your adventures. I don’t see you’ve given up much and have a boring life. Maybe your young heart gets a little restless, but you travel and hike all over the place. Shoot you were in Costa Rica and Switzerland in the same year! Enjoy.
NICE TO SEE YOU BEAUTIFUL ONE!! Isabel please please make this new kitty an inside cat you can train him to walk on a leash just like a dog !! He'll love it! He'll never make it out there in the forest and its such a terrible heartache love you so much Darlin' girl❤❤❤
~I also live in the woods with cats, and i regularly spray wolf pee around my perimeter to ward off predators~It seems to work?~I order it from Home Depot~It seems too much of a deprivation to trap a kitty inside, in a wonderful forest like that!~^-^~
~I think in some ways, being trapped in a house, or on a leash, for a cat, might be a bit like living in safe cage, where nothing can hurt you, but youre miserable~
~Its a tough call, cuz it depends~Suffering for a long time from a painful disease can happen as well~And some predators, like mountain lions, kill instantly by breaking the neck, and if that happens after many years of a happy, full life, living in a beautiful forest, it might be preferable for them~
You're a very driven person with lots of ambitions which comes with many benefits, and also the flipside of that is what you're explaining in your video. Without the seriousness, you wouldn't have what you have. Someone who spend their youth being reckless might regret not being more serious. But I do validate your feelings and I do think that there is a longing inside of you wanting to be explored since you've been talking about it some times now. I'm excited to follow you on your journey..
I am so glad you are back. I was a teeny bit worried! I love the quilt coat! May make one myself, but make it a long coat! Kitty is getting so big.....so thankful to see you are all ok. Blessings for a great week ahead all❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I have missed some videos, but what happened to the black cat? Surely, not the same fate as the white cat that went missing. Maybe they should build a "cat "patio" to protect against the wildlife. Hoping this kitty will be better protected.
That is the best sowing machine in the world! All the women ( grandmas, aunts, cousins) in my family have it ❤ They don’t make such quality anymore. I was super excited the first time I saw you using it, they’re so rare nowadays 😊
I didn't notice you were gone, But I sure noticed when you came back. You do More old world stuff than Tons of people your age come on How many people in your age group make ANYTHING from scratch??? let alone Make their own clothes...... You got this girl you are Truly taking care of yourself and your Man... Way to go Isabel
❤ The truth is, I understand your frustration. but you have achieved so much!! especially with this channel, you really do incredible things, like the clothes you design and the food you always prepare... I admire you a lot and I would love to be able to live a journey like the one you have experienced. ❤ I've followed you almost since you started and I didn't speak English, I learned a lot from you and your beautiful way of speaking. Thank you Isa, never give up on your dreams 😊
I love every sewing pattern by Birgitta Helmersson. She makes zero waste patterns so there’s no scraps that get thrown away and you use all of the fabric. I also find fabric/blankets/curtains from thrift stores to turn into clothes and her patterns work very well for it. I currently am sewing through all of the patterns she has in her book “Zero Waste Patterns”. I think you would love her style!
Welcome back, Isabel! I've missed your weekly videos so much!! I'm glad you had a wonderful road trip, and climbed that mountain. Your new kitty is adorable, but what happened to Black cat? I miss seeing him in your videos.
She told on ig stories black went missing like the white cat did earlier and never came back home. Likely been killed by predators, there's a lot of them in that area near the house. Judging from this video she still lets the new kitty run free outdoors. That one won't last very long either 😢
Of course, I always love your videos. I'm 59 years old and it makes me realize what I missed in life and what I want in my life. Such inspiration. BTW, did you get married? Was that a little honeymoon trip you took with Logan? Sorry for being nosey!
You inspired me to get a sourdough starter going and I have been baking like crazy and making bread which for some reason I thought I could never do! Also, to echo what other people have said, you should be proud of how much you saved during your early 20's, you set yourself up for the freedom you have now. Many others do the exact opposite thing in their 20's and pau for it later on. So happy to hear that you are gonna stay at your tiny house this winter. Cheers to a sweet and restful winter, Isabel! :)
I'm so grateful to Isabel for posting their adventures. Absolutely no part of me wants to hike under those conditions. I get to live vicariously through this channel lol
you’re not the only one we all did that in our 20s we all missed out on being reckless and just living life because society has set it up that way, so you are not alone and you’re certainly not the only one
You're not missing out,i think you're right on point. Make sure you're stocked up on wood & supplies for the winter. Look forward to seeing more sewing projects from you. One of the things thatz been on my sewing bucket list is pajama pants. Should be simple to make pajama pants right. L&R
The shots of the night sky are just beautiful 😯 as is the whole video, and as they always are 😄 you can still be reckless now, there is no boundary for it 😁 and the labour of your early twenties means you have a lovely nest to return to from any reckless adventures you take now 😄 thank you for sharing :D
the scenery is amazing!! from the snowy mountains, the fog in the forest, the rain on the hills and that sky. and another thing, is your style! I absolutely love your clothes! ohhh to be young again. enjoy every minute Isabel, as you seem to be doing.
I agree with all the comments. As someone who went out all the time, partied and wasted so much of my life drinking and being hungover, if I was to re-do life knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t do that again. I would hussle and work hard, save my money and have the same path you had. Everyone obviously is shaped and moulded with their past experiences but I don’t think you have missed out on anything. We all make our choices and all have different paths. I think you’re doing incredibly, and you’re inspiring so many people. 😊 Thank you for the lovely videos.
You’re an inspiration for youth today!! It warms my heart to see you so relaxed and peaceful. Take pride in your accomplishments. Lastly, I want to say I’m so happy you’re staying at the tiny home this winter. It’s so you and Logan❤. You both are inspirational humans. Thank you💕
For sewing, I think you would love sashiko, a Japanese embroidery that goes great on quilted fabrics or denim. It is an easy method to learn and so many possibilities. I also live the Wiksten Haori pattern which can be made at different lengths and for either men or women. Japanese garments are so comfortable and roomy. You can find both online. Years ago when my husband and I were first married, I made him a long white caftan nightshirt and embroidered the neckline along with a crocheted winter beanie which he wore all his life. I still have his beanie for when I need a hug. This is the 20th anniversary year of his passing. I now live high in the Appalachians alone with my dog, but the memories of the thirty years we had together remain magical in my heart. Our three sons have grown to become such beautiful men, so like their dad. Life has been wonderful and continues to be adventurous, learning herbs and medicine, new skills in knitting and beadwork and toymaking, always something new to make, colors to explore and designs to figure out. Best of luck to you ❤️
Oh my Isabelle, I'm so glad you, your mom, and Logan didn't get blown off that mountain. You and yours ate so precious and I do pray at various times for you all. I am so glad you were able to travel and have some fun time without having to put in the time to create a video for a while. We all need breaks away. Your jacket you made from the $5 quilt is absolutely cute. I told my hubby I love it when you just try things. It inspires me to try things. I'm still working on trying to try my hand making sour dough bread. 😊 Anyhoo, don't worry about not getting time to be reckless, as a former nurse of many years I've seen too many injuries or deaths due to recklessness, BUT on the other hands always have a sense of adventure dear Isabelle, and do adventures with wisdom. It's an amazing way to live. Then even in old age there is always some new thing God has to bless us with.❤
Namaste Isabel, Logan and Mom - great, adventurous hike!!! It's always most memorable when it is rugged, death-defying and embarked upon with Moms and your future hubby/shmell!! I love that you were soooo grateful for simply coffee and to have survived the night!! I love the crust cookies!!! They are wonderful for pies that only have a bottom crust like pumpkin pie. Fun. On a serious note, thank you Isabel because I was going to ask around and see if we could all just stay home for a great holiday/winter season!! I have been traveling since the 3rd week of March!! WWOOFing. I love the winter season and look forward to trying more of your recipes and hiking in the deep-freeze, white-out, silent and spirit-filled forests. Big warm hug to ya.
I am really happy to know that you are going to stay here in the Winter because everything about this place including the beautiful tiny hut you built is magical . Something about this year its been a tough one felt lost n anxious most of the time. Love you Isa ♡
The obvious question… why didn’t you do the hike when the weather was better. That looked scary. … it’s ok you worked towards your goals. You’re a lot better off than someone who didn’t. You’ve created a life you wanted with your whole life ahead of you!
When you said something about going on a road trip, I knew I had to comment. Back in 2022, I had my first road trip from Boston to Niagara Falls. We never really pre-booked anything along the way. We just stopped where it got dark and really snowy. And then we’d look for accommodations nearby. I like things planned ahead but the spontaneity of things during that road trip makes me relive the moment every now and then. So refreshing!
That feeling of being “reckless” or without responsibility will be with you for the rest of your life. I’m 62 and it’s still there & Im sure most people all feel this way. However, a home life, work, cooking, sewing, etc., all those things make you whole & complete. It’s better to be grounded & take occasional trips, travel, experiences, etc. thrown into the comfort of having a grounding. Don’t regret what you didn’t do in your 20’s. You can still do those things throughout your life until you’re old; even if you have kids & a family. You are the type of person that will make that work.
You’ve accomplished a lot and there are no rules on how old you have to be to live a certain lifestyle. You can change it up whenever you want and then change it back … all up to you 🥰 you do you boo! Nothing is permanent :) Love your videos, messages, and cinematic content - you truly have a special talent and thank you for sharing it with us.
She informed on ig stories a while ago that black went missing a couple weeks before the new one came in. Probably got killed in the wilderness by a predator like the white cat.
Thank you, Isabel, for the peace you instilled in me. I so love the mountains and nature. As I sit here enjoying the evening in Florida listening to the long awaited rain coming down and watching you. I am at peace. ❤
Thanks for a wholesome video, now let's get down to the good stuff! Few videos back you said you and Logan were breaking up, and then, after that wasn't addressed again, you said you were getting married, no wedding ring, but Logan's back in the picture... are you married?
I'm really worried about your kitten being outside the house given the predators lurking around and who have already made your other two cats disappear... Please keep him safe!😢 It’s your responsability to take care her little life…. for love.
I am very concerned about the safety of this kitten. If this does not change it will be destined to feed a bird of prey or a predatory mammal which has surely already smelled it. I find that very sad. There is already a detachment because she hasn't named him yet😔.
❤is it possible that you are growing more and more beautiful with every day....thank you for the feast you give my senses every time you post...love to you and dear Logan, who's music I listen to over and over...and your mum's voice is so beautiful ❤❤❤
This is not an example to give to others. Taking care of a kitten requires seriousness and commitment to its safety. This kitten has been exposed to way too much stress from a changing environment. Cats are territorial. Adopt a dog instead and it would be more in line with your lifestyle.
Lovely to have you back again you were missed! So glad you did all the stuff you did though it looked amazing, it's wonderful to see you nourishing your soul through both adventure and relaxation. The quilt jacket you made looks fantastic and I look forward to seeing the one you produce for Logan! The food you create looks so yummy and healthy, truly awe-inspiring! I think it's natural to feel like you've missed out because if you had of done the opposite you would have craved the life you have now! Those feelings are completely reasonable though and remember it's never too late to take a few days and indulge in your cravings of youth, oftentimes when we crave 'recklessness' we partake in a few 'young' 'fun' activities and then can't wait to get back to our routine! You're never restricted to one mode of being, if one day you want to be spontaneous and the next meticulous and the next completely in hibernation that's absolutely truly okay! Our emotions and cravings in life change as does the seasons and whatever you decide to do is never set in stone! Keep doing what you're doing Isabel, you inspire me every week!
Isabel!!! Great to see you and your family are doing well. Thank you for sharing snippets of your life with us. It is truly a wonderful world, thank you for sharing the beauty of it with us. Peace!
I love the quilt jacket and plan to go shopping for an old quilt to make one. First I need a sewing machine because mine stopped working. Fall is my favorite season and here we are in almost winter. It's time to hunker down inside and rest for sure.
Nice to see you as always. It is good to trust your inner drive and intuition during each chapter of our life. You were driven, you were on a passionate mission to build your home. It was good. You learned far more than you could have learned at college during that chapter of your life. Each chapter, each year month and week has different inspiration coming through to guide you. Trust it. Lean into it. Listen to your heart. Those years were as they should be. What ever you are longing for now, that is what is for you in this chapter. Trust your inner knowings. All the best Isabel.
What the heck! When did you get rid of your wood stove & put a gas stove in? I somehow missed that video. Isabel, it’s a waste of time & energy regretting your past. Maybe, reread some of your older journals, to appreciate where you’ve been & realize all the lessons learned along the way. Can’t wait to see what you’ll be up to this winter. Take care!
Isabel, I can't tell you how much I enjoy watching your videos. My body is always in a state of zen when I'm watching you and listening to you!!! Frankly, your videos are great for my health!!!
Dear Isabel, I am watching your videos a few years now and they still give me calm and I am so happy for you, for your achievements and just living the present. I am 40 now and I’m still lost with my goals… I’m an artist and it feels like I am always looking for the thing that makes me happy. It can be very exausted sometimes but when I get there it makes me happy and push me to another project. Is this my objective in this life? I’m still figuring it out.. and it is ok to change your past dreams, we grow and evolve, what we thing that could be what we want to do today, can be not what we want to do tomorrow. You gave me hope and serenity through your videos and that is all that matters to me, so a big thank you for sharing that with your fans, your real fans 🥹 If you want to visit Portugal, I’m here if you need. Best wishes. Inês David
What is it with people like you who are always the first to comment and inevitably say something like this as if there is no one else making videos and sharing their lives in various beautiful and dedicated ways? It’s such a strange tendency to worship another which devalues yourself.
Isabel, you mentioned on Insta about running. 🏃Great idea for health & peace of mind in the cold months. Your ideas are good. Maybe get a treadmill for days you're not up to tackling the weather? 🌨Maybe there's room for it in your studio (?). Rebounding is fun, too.
Holy Shit, that wind!!! I recently hiked the Kalalau Trail on Kauai and the trail was beautiful but … the wind…. THE WIND!! It’s a little unnerving to be on the side of a mountain with wind like that. And kudos to your Mom!!! ( who is probably my age, so, Huge Kudos! )
Great mix of adventures... Lovely video. Can't remember if you told us the name of your new kitty (who's really growing!). Like many others, wondering about "Black". Hope she/he is okay.
@@BootsAndPearls85yeah she told in her instagram stories a while ago that the black cat also went missing a couple weeks before she got the new kitten... It's bothering me that she apparently does not name her cats or did not even mention in the videos about the black cat's passing 😢 let alone keep them from roaming in the wilderness dangerously. Like the cats are just some random objects or something
@uniture4752 it bothers me too 🙁, I understand those kittens came to her from being outside, but all the more reason to allow them to be full-time indoor cats. I hope this new baby gets to stay inside.
You spent your 20’s wisely- don’t worry. You can have fun and adventure at any age! There is no time limit on fun, that’s a story society kinda pushes, but it’s not true. It’s better you spent your 20’s traveling and learning new skills, as opposed to partying and chasing the feeling of fulfillment in all the wrong places lol. You didn’t miss anything, trust me lol.
Hi, your comment kind of made me feel better. I am 25 and I also have the feeling that despite traveling, learning new things, building my carreer... as my early twenties and current age I am still quite lonely I always have that fear that I might miss something. Your comment is really helpful for many people.
