why I've been MIA... (pregnancy update) 

sorry for being a bit MIA, we had an unexpected last few weeks after we received these baby updates, but I am back and so relieved! 💛 thank you for watching & love you guys!

I started balling when I heard the ultra sound tech say he was head down. I’m so excited and happy for you Jess.

I felt so many of your emotions watching this video! My baby boy didn’t turn head down until around 37 weeks and I tried so many of the things you mentioned. I had a smooth and healthy unmedicated birth and my baby is 2 months old now 🥰 God is good!

Just for anyone reading this who might be finding themselves in a similar situation, babies can flip right up until you’re in established labour.. especially after your first birth 😊 also you are ‘allowed’ to do whatever you’d like in regards to birthing a breech bub.. hospital policy is not law.. do your own research and make informed decisions 😊

So proud of you Jess for putting the work in, being so open to trying new things but also being open to different birth options if it came to it 🫶🏼 you’re doing soooo amazing. Thanks for sharing :))

So happy for you!!! Acupuncture is incredible. My baby girl was also not in the right position at 35 weeks, did acupuncture and the little thing at the end of your toes for two days and she was head down! So thankful that there are natural ways to encourage baby to turn versus you having to go through them manually turning baby again. Sending love and good energy for your delivery ❤️

I'm so glad all is well. My sister had a bad experience with her midwife where she didn't help her turn the baby and they had to do a c-section because she had no fluid; later she went with another mor natural midwife for her next three pregnancies, and the last two (twins) she was able to physically reach in at birth and turn the babies as they came out. She always tells people to find a natural and old school midwife. You're so right to go as natural as you can.😊

I love how you talked about having this picture of birth in your mind and wanting to happen the way you planned. My son was born at 24 weeks and not having delivery go as planned felt like a loss. Its a grief that doesn't really get talked about.

This video was so healing for me. I'm currently 36+3 and my baby also suddenly turned breech at 34 weeks and currently is transverse. I've been going through so many emotions and even feel myself getting into the victim mentality just so I could feel sorry for myself since my whole birth plan was about going natural&unmedicated (ideally water birth). I still have a week left until my appointment so I really hope that my baby girl will turn. So happy for you and wishing you a healing birth experience

My last child was breach in my womb and high up. I was 40 when I had her. I was resigned that I may need a Caesarian section. She was the last of five children. Her due date was New Year’s Day. Christmas Day I was miserable. She was moving so much and I had much cramping. It felt like the beginning of labor. From that day till the morning of the 29th I had labor off and on. I went to the hospital and she had turned head down and was born that afternoon. I’m so happy for you that your son turned!

My daughter is 9 now, but when I was pregnant she was breech until 35-36wks and I still remember the pain and pressure of her turning! It was so intense and nothing like I've ever experienced! I'm so glad to hear he's now head down and ready to go!!

Same happened to me during my first pregnancy. My baby girl had her head up and I did acupuncture and it worked wonders.

Oh I know you were so relieved to know he is officially head down. 🥰 I was crying with you. It brought me back to when I was preggers with my daughter in 2019. I did EVERYTHING I could at home to get her head down and she was just super stubborn, or comfy. My doctor here in AL said they don't do the turning of the baby anymore but he did give me an extra week and said if she didn't turn by then the would have to schedule a C-section. Needless to say I had to do the C-section. She literally had her head buried behind my ribs on the right side of my body, booty in the canal and legs/feet kicked over to my left side. I was so scared and shaking uncontrollably, probably bc of the meds, epidural and the fact that they keep hospitals freezing (for good reasons). I was terrified though bc she was my first and only child. I hadn't gone through anything like that and then I did. She came out perfectly okay though and in the end that's all I cared about.

The last trimester emotions are crazy! It’s okay to be emotional over things not going the way you want. With my first (and only at the moment), I had all these plans but knew I should keep an open mind. My area does not have a lot of opportunities for the way I wanted to handle my labor and delivery. (I wanted a water birth so bad, unmedicated). I ended up getting an epidural at 8 cm. (Probably was at a 10 by the time they finished). The next one I’m going in with a lot more information and tips but know some things you can’t prevent. In the end. Everything will be okay. I’m wishing the best for you and your growing family. ❤

I had a csection with my daughter. After a failed induction. I was high risk with 2VC & was being induced for Obstetric Cholestasis. Pray & believe everything is okay! And plan on having repeat csection with any future children!
