The drone footage is choppy due to not having any filters for the lens to decrease the shutter speed. Another excited purchase in the near future! Edit: SOLVED! Frame rate on DaVinci Resolve timeline was off. Main camera at 24fps and drone footage at 30fps

You're not alone there, Liam. I did exactly the same thing loading my footage in to Cyberlink Powerdirector.😁New subscriber, loving the landscape.👍I'd suggest practicing hand launching/catching your drone (videos online) as your props will last longer. Take-off and landing can (depending on surface) throw up a lot of minute debris that can damage them over time.

I just got my mini 3 pro in today and man I am impressed with it. First drone for me. Technology can be amazing sometimes

Great stuff Liam. One word of advice. get an elastic hair band so it keeps your propellors tucked in safly and that way you wont break them when putting in your bag.

Great advice! At the moment, my fly more combo kit that arrived came with some sort of wrap around case. It’s quite a tight fit so I hope it doesn’t affect the propellers

Awesome! New gear always comes with new learning - I'm excited for you and excited to see more drone footage from the UK! I'm looking to get a drone later this year (gotta save up first, haha), and refurbished sounds like a good idea.

Thank you! I would definitely recommend this drone, however you’ll have to consider the extra costs of more batteries and a good SD card. Refurbished is the best idea as long as it’s from a reputable seller or you are confident in buying from a second hand dealer on eBay. It ain’t cheap (at least I don’t think it is), but £500 can take you far with drones these days

I agree. The sensor size is small for low light video and photography but it does a great job regardless! Really great for the money

As a new drone flyer myself I just wondered if you’d gone through the compliance needed? Do you have your operator id for example. And how did you cope with VLOS with all those trees surrounding you? Great views though 😊

I think the 4 may be better for tracking and more technology however the sensor I believe is the same in the 3 pro. Either way, they are both brilliant!

Check your SD card is fast enough. Those stutters aren't a lack of filters.

@@LiamGalashan I shoot in 24FPS but recently watched a video that suggested 30 FPS as it works better with most refresh rates on computers, phones etc. Saying that I use the fastest card available so cannot say whether the card is a problem or not. Filters will allow a lower shutter speed to suit your frame rate (typically double eg 30 FPS 1/60 shutter)

@@rogerdenrog yeah I’ve seen the same too. My SD card seems to be the fastest one I can get. Sandisk Extreme. I think my mistake could also have been in DaVinci Resolve where I edit the videos. My camera is at 24 frames while the drone is 30 so it will have affect the export I believe. It’s all a learning curve! Thanks for the comment

@@LiamGalashan In Davinci I have very choppy videos because of the geriatric Mac Book. Creating and editing a proxy sorts that out.

I have the Mini 2 due to its Cost I would love a Mini 3 pro or even just a Mini 3 alas I just cannot afford one.

I got mine second hand which is still pretty much brand new. It is an investment and you’ll have to get more batteries which is more money. Hopefully one day you’ll be able to get it!
