Ahhh yes! Hearing that gives me a little bit of hope that one day I will find someone. Tho that may be hard because my type is fictional guys. I'm a bookworm.

I still remember years ago wishing my unknown future husband a good night while looking at the moon. I wished him well often. He wasn't as expressive but he was yearning for a true love with all his heart as well. We both eventually gave up believing a happy match exists. Then finally we found each other. We knew the same day. The depth and joy of our love has only grown since that joyful first day. I had been mistaken about boyfriends before so for quite some time I kept expecting things to change for the worse because I had a hard time believing it could be this good. It didn't change, it just got deeper and more secure without losing any of the joy. I'm so flipping grateful and happy. I think gratitude for a good person is a big key to why it stays amazing. Never taking one another for granted because we both know how long we sifted through bad matches and yearned for a good one till finding this great match. Now we look at the moon together and I remember wishing him good night alone. It's so gratifying.

I think the problem is that many people really do have to high standards but I'm not talking about standard qualities... Like respectful, really liking you ect... But many expect their partner to bring them happiness and if they realise that the other person can't do that they start finding reasons what's wrong witn the other person like you have to much arm hair, your stomach isn't flat enough your don't do enough sport ect... And they sell that as having high standards... 🙄🙄🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ Because those people should definitely lower their standards!

I'm 24 too, gonna be 25 in a few months and I've never been in a relationship ever and never been kissed too. And when people would hear this for the first time that I've never had any boyfriend, they would make fun of me saying that I'm a total boring girl who never wants to have fun. But I'm just here enjoying every minute of my life by reading my favourite books and spending time with my family and a few close friends. And if not going out i.e. not attending parties or not going to the nightclubs makes me a boring girl and not an outgoing girl then so be it. 😇 🧿

People don’t want to date anymore because commitment is too much investment and getting to know someone is to hard because some people don’t have patience and don’t like surprises. And no one wants to get hurt. I’m lucky because Im the butt of the Millennial generation who got married. And we are the generation where most of our parents are not good at expressing emotions LOL. Or just odd. The younger generation struggles to have a connect because they have it too easy to judge people by their profile pics and what they write on their profile. No point on going on a date to get laid because you got tinder LOL. The younger generation also care too much of themselves and becoming famous. While the older generation either focus on being a better parent than their parents or trying to NOT have kids. I grew up wanted to be married and have children regardless how screwed up my parents relationship was because they showed me love and I prayed to God to help me become the right woman for my right man. And my prayer came true. My husband is poor, no education, and struggles a lot with life but his live for life and Christ was the only thing I needed to see he was the one. I always wanted a marriage solely on love. Because money didn’t make me happy. I’ve had 10 ex bf and gone on so many dates in between and they were all learning situations and not marriage worth relationships. And I’ve learned from my aunts and uncles from their marriages that I rather be poor and have money than be rice and feel nothing. My parents were a gun shot wedding so they had NO idea what they were doing and didn’t really love each other, and now they have two wonderful daughter in a loveless marriage but children filled their hearts. You can’t change others to fit your life. But when you adapt to fit the person you love’s life it becomes a selfless love :3 true love. When the person you love is meant for you they will want to change too by themselves. :) because they want to be selfless too. Don’t get me wrong my husband cane be spoiled and selfish but I forgive him and we talk about of POV and become closer. The more patient you are and willing to listen because you really love them, changes occurring and a beautiful relationship just becomes better.

Preach I was desperate for love but in retrospect I'm so glad I never dated in high school. Dating at such a young age means dealing with emotionally immature boys, investing a lot of attention into things that can be so draining without any reward at the end. Investing that time in school and hobbies and good friends has rewards without any risk of drama. I felt so much more ready when I met boys at 18 or 19. Even when back when I was 14 I thought I was fully ready.
