Brother, I spent 25 years in education as a teacher and administrator. Fifteen of those years were as a Catholic priest. I became greatly dissolutioned working for a corrupt bishop. I now work for the Highway Department as a laborer. And I'm very happy. The lesson: an internet influencer is not your only option in life. Be good to yourself.
I will also add that I was married for 24 years and had eight children with the same woman. My wife left me after her father inherited millions of dollars. Again, you are in a difficult place. But, you do have a family and options. Don't lose hope.
Diabetices run in my family so as a teen, i started reducing how much sugar i used. Over time something i like cake became too sweet and something i would have rarely and much smaller portions. All food turns to sugar that can be used by your body.fast sugars can spike it an take a toll on your body. We need more balance

I cried watching this because i've been struggling with fighting shadows for months now. I'm mostly fighting myself, not feeling like i do enough for my family. My wife is the breadwinner and i'm a stay at home dad, We used to both work but we had our kid in 2018 and a year later the world shut down and i lost my job. She never judges me and she always shows me love and respect but sometimes i just break down because i haven't been able to help. My babygirl will be starting school this year so i've been looking for a job but i've been so discouraged and bummed out because no one has called and even the jobs that did call went with other candidates. Idk man i've just been losing hope day by day, if it wasn't for my wife and kid showing me how much they love me daily, i really don't know where my mental state would be right now. Thanks for always being so transparent with us B and thanks for being someone i can relate too. I hope you find your peace.

Brian, I am a 78 yo widow. You are one of the bright spots that I find on RU-vid. Please don't leave. You bring light to many. God does not make it easy for all of us. My anniversary was May 27th. I would have been married 57 yrs., but my soul mate died in 2016. I miss him, but I thank God every day that I was allowed to have him in my life. We all have our demons but we also have the ultimate weapon against them. I feel this man. Views and ad revenue have been down over here as well. Add the bad market were in right now and it has me stressed. Its difficult to put so much time and effort into a video and it preforms poorly. I think its something only other creators really get. Brian b. Was always my inspiration when i got down about the RU-vid stuff. Whenever i didn't feel like editing id put on one of his vlogs and itd get me pumped to keep pushing. The reptile RU-vid space has felt empty since that day. If it means anything, whenever i switch to this account to post a short your uncuts are the first thing that pops in my feed.
You used to show your kids.. Noah knows...Hilary labor, I loved seeing them. It showed very good parenting. You would stop what you were doing to listen, taking them on walks. I loved seeing the family. ❤
I love watching your videos especially the last one with your girls catching newts. It reminded me of what I do with my kids. I’m sorry you’re going through this. I suffer from lupus which comes with a lot of anxiety and depression. What I love to do is go out into the woods on my property where I have a stream I sit there and enjoy the surroundings that nature has giving us. For some reason it calms me and clears my mind of any problems I’m having. I can think clearly too. I hope things get better for you.
Dude, that whole thing about your best videos being the ones where you don't put in any effort, I completely understand that. When my first bunch of Hognose eggs hatched I went super over the top with recording the video for the reveal. It took me 4 days to edit and I even licensed some music for a year. It ended up being my worst performing video to this day, and still sits at under 400 views. However, my videos where I just talk and do 0 editing at all get a lot more engagement. It is super frustrating since I actually enjoy the creative process. Why spend money on expensive cameras and audio equipment though, when my PoV videos recorded with my phone get 20 times the engagement?

I love watching your videos! But most days/ weeks that I scroll RU-vid,your videos aren’t popping up. Def the Agarythm in my opinion 😟 I hope you’re starting to feel a bit better.
It's not you, it's RU-vid. I constantly have to check the channels I have subscribed to. For some reason or another they keep reverting to no notifications. Also, I completely understand about the sugar thing. I'm fine for awhile & then fall off the wagon. We all fall off the wagon from time to time & it's about what we do after the fall. You have to pick yourself back up & keep going. To err is human.
When I discovered your channel my wife and I were starting our collection of ball pythons to try and breed some snakes and see what we could come up with, but soon after getting our small army of 20 snakes, we had a child of our own. At that same time, you were having your first daughter and so there was a parallel, at least in my mind, and it drew me into your channel. I still love your channel, but it's now five years later and we're just now starting to refresh some of our gene collection to try and get the ball rolling again. Along the way, I may not have been watching your videos as much, but I still do appreciate what you bring to the community. And I've always had an interest in videography and have super long hair (again, more parallels, but you cut it all off and I'm still mad! Lol), so keep doing what you're doing brother. When I do see your videos come up on my feed, it's 9/10 an uncut. I need to go back and watch more of the cinematic ones to see if they'll start coming up on my feeds. Don't despair - regardless of how many views you get, there are still some on whom you've left an everlasting impression, and I am one of them. Also... my daughter still tells the "knock knock, who's there, banana, banana who" joke ALLLL the time thanks to you and Barczyk. Unfortunately, I won't be going to any of those shows because I live in the swamps of Louisiana, but I hope the winners of those magnets (or whatever they are) love them as much as I would love to have one. ;)

One of the best lessons I learned with everything I do is "Do things good enough, not perfect". There is always room for improvement and the only thing you succeed in trying to be perfect is exhausting yourself. Since I live by this, everything is way better for me.
Brian Barczyk would be soo proud of you right now. There are very few content creators who are willing to open up about their darker emotions and taking it a step further by making it relatable to others who aren't content creators (yet). It's nice to know I'm not one of the only men out here struggling to push through mentally with your work and finds some sort of relief in the small works that we do to keep our family and home in order. I know there are more out there like us and we need to know that we are not alone. If I could give one piece of advice is a line from a "Just Like You" by NF. The whole song is amazing but at the end it says. "Everybody falls sometimes, just remember that it's alright. It's the rainy days that give us love for the sun". It's the lows in life that make us cherish the highs. Well be alright. Just keep it pushing man. 💪

Every day is a new challenge, i know somewhat how you feel. My life was severely changed several years ago. But i just got back to what i like and reptiles are part of that and i have all of you awsome people that get me by everyday even though i dont know you. Keep up the great work i loved the vids with the dino mic at shows. And your kids are great when they are on, dingo, bb,tyler n, some of the kid vids are the best.

I'm always a message away or phone call. I may not be big brian but always here for anyone in need. Us hobbyist and breeders need to band together not spread apart. We are all a big ohana. We all are here to learn and teach others and spread the joy and love of exotic pets.
Imagine you are at the fair. You are at a throwing game as a professional baseball player. You need to knock down towers to win a cuddly toy. You start the game and its going well. But then, suddenly the towers are not falling. You start to worry and question your ability and yourself. You start to question if you are a good enough, whether you should be on a team, whether you are any good at all. All from a simple rigged fair game. You snowball and it all gets too much. Now imagine the same game, but you go in knowing its rigged. You know it isn't you or your ability or game, you know it's a rigged game. You see others getting ahead because it's good for the crowd and the stall. You know its rigged. So why let it get to you. You just play the game until the end and keep moving. That is the RU-vid algorithm. Don't stifle because developers and stake holders have an agenda to meet. You arw smashing it and a voice of grounding. Keep up the work mate, its appreciated. Your content is real and we love it.

I have obnoxious dietary needs and on a food diary to track to help me with weight loss...and note taking for self talk. Addictions suck... sometimes you have to replace an addiction with another addiction that's a positive healthy alternative.
Something Ive had to learn too is just because theres awful things going on in the world doesnt mean you should never feel pain or be upset about anything. Your feelings are VALID and youre allowed to (and should) process through and feel those feelings! I had the exact same mindset, like my grandmother passed away and im like "well, a mother just lost her child so thats way worse and therefore I dont get to feel sad"... NO of course thats not right. Because theres worse things out there doesnt mean it invalidates your feelings. HUGS!
