Dave, you are so right; there is a "line" there between protesting and hating, and that line extends to all religions and nationalities. It also extends to a protest becoming a threat to those who don't agree with that point of view-- if an individual or group engages in that then you have "crossed the line" and should be expelled from any university or possibly arrested if one committed a crime.

for all is quirks, dave is honest and authentic. unlike many of his employees and his audience, he understands how fucked up things are. once you have bills, a job, and or a family, you begin to understand the bigger picture.

Why would you hire anybody that isn't right for the job? Doesn't matter the name of the School. But of course because you paid more for school doesn't qualify you in this day and age.

I haven't seen many people condemning politicians like Elise Stefanik who continously refuse to even acknowledge war crimes in Gaza, let alone condemn them. Yet the Deans must step down immediately for refusing to throw their students under the bus for opposing the actions of a foreign nation waging an illegal war. The double standard is maddening.

The problem with this thinking is that you're punishing the students/graduates for the beliefs of the deans, etc. I think it's a fair question to ask anyone from those or any other schools... do you support these beliefs? If so, don't hire them.

The only slight disagreement I have with Dave here is the “difference between free speech and hate speech” comment. The term “hate speech” is subjective and begs the question, who gets to deem what “hate speech” is? If you ask the wokesters, they will claim that anyone with whom they disagree politically is engaging in so-called “hate speech”. That being said, calling for violence against anyone or against an entire ethnic group is not protected speech. The fact that these “educated” university presidents can’t bring themselves to condemn the calls for violence against the Jewish people simply because they want to pander to the radical leftist elements in their student body and faculty is reprehensible.

If you think the stock market or real estate market are safe bets, I got some baaaad news for you about what the historical trend line says when the ratio between median income and median home price sold get anywhere NEAR as bad as it is today, and in 2006-2007 at what was the peak of now the second largest housing bubble in history, we were only 65% as bad as we are now. The bottom 80% are the most indebted and overleveraged in all of modern world history, and when those consumers stop spending CASH (not credit card debt like we've been seeing record levels of), unemployment will triple and homes will crash 40-50%. That's what 2024-2025 will hold.
