I worked at a very fine hotel in center city Philadelphia, I worked as a housekeeper. When things were found (blood, urine, feces, cult objects and weapons) management told us to “get rid of it” meaning throw it in the trash chute (that leads to a large garbage vat in the locked basement that gets taken every Sunday by waste management ) as if nothing happened. There were times I found blood and reported it and they told me to mind my business and clean it. I found a knife stained with some liquid (idk if it was blood or rust?) in an extended stay room under a mattress while someone was still inhabiting the room but out for business this person typically left the “do not disturb “ on the door and would leave a note on the door to leave things outside for them(extra towels coffee mix etc) but this day they didn’t. After this persons stay ended they tipped 100$ and wrote a weird note stating (thanks for looking out) weird way to say thank you to a housekeeper? Ps... this hotel has 5/5 stars 🙃
It might be a weird way to say thank you to a housekeeper but not so much for someone they thought was in on whatever he was up to. That's just icky all the way around
So I have a fantastically relevant story to share about the Cecil hotel --- My now husband and two of his friends went on a cross country road trip the summer of 2013, as young adults. They made it to L.A. in August, but since it was the last leg of their trip they were pretty much out of money. To cut costs, they decided to stay at one of the cheapest hotels they could find... you guessed it, the Cecil hotel. They hadn't heard of what happened at the hotel earlier that year so they went about their stay as normal. They had many memorable moments being so close to Skid Row, but the most memorable (at least after the fact) was getting absolutely trashed the last night of their stay. My husband and one friend wake the next morning to find that their third friend is missing. They search the hotel and try calling him but can't find him. Hours go by and he finally returns to the room. When asked where he was he said that he must have gotten way too drunk last night because he doesn't remember anything and he woke up... ON THE ROOF. (yes I know this sounds like The Hangover). They laughed it off as him being stupid drunk and assured him he must have come up with the brilliant idea to go up to the roof all on his own because they definitely didn't go up there or suggest it. Anyways, a few weeks later, when they returned home and were telling people about their trip they finally learned about Elisa Lam and what happened at the Cecil Hotel, thus becoming the most memorable, but least actually remembered, part of their trip. --- Luckily my husbands friend just fell asleep up there and didn't "accidentally drown" in the water tank. And also, apparently it wasn't that hard to get up to the roof, even after what happened to Elisa Lam. Either that or it was a GHOST! that got him up there --- Also, love the video! But I think I prefer the research before the video way because it feels so much more official and dramatic lol
@@ginac.6567 Nobody recalls feeling anything but to be fair they were all incredibly drunk 😂 the guy it happened to doesn't even remember going up to the roof
What other Zombae’s are praying Mykie gives us some Halloween content this year? Her health is of course top concern, but I hope her chronic pain issues don’t impact her passion for creating content. Love you Mykie ❤️💕
I'm praying she's happy in whatever she decides 😊 I think videoing is so exhausting and time consuming and would be so hard if you're not well. Plus stress can worsen your health and pain 🧡 sometimes you can't help pain impacting on your passions
Ye i am did u notice she cchanged the titles of alot of her Videos so maybe she has started to bother with youtube and we will see content from her very Soon
She said on her IG stories that she’s going finally fully enjoy the halloween season. Assuming that means she’s not going to go through the stress of making content.
I have a weird Vegas hotel story....so when Mykie mentioned that a lot of things that happen in hotels in Las Vegas go unreported to not hurt tourism i got a weird feeling. So i was staying in a room by myself on a hotel off the strip and my room was near the back stair door entrance and i was a few floors up. So it was my last night and I was just falling asleep at 2am when all of a sudden this man (sounded like a young man) started crying and screaming for help and banging on my door. I freaked out and jumped out of bed. Now I was a solo female traveller in early 20s so there was nooooo way in hell I was going to open my hotel door. I could see someones shadow under the door like they were slumped up against it. I called reception and they sent up security. The receptionist heard the guy crying and screaming but when the security guy cam to my floor, apparently there was no sign of anyone....and nothing was reported....That was the freakiest hotel experience I have ever had.
That's really scary but tragic. Most likely it was a ghost you encountered, I wonder why he was screaming and calling for help. Things like this makes you think a lot of what happened to those kinds of people but sometimes you'll never really know the truth behind it
I didnt get any ghosty vibes...i think it was real but as a solo female traveller, you learn very early on to be cautious of every situation, even if it might seem safe. I have been followed to a hotel room before and was afraid it was someone trying to coax me into letting them in. The security guard played it off as a bunch of drunk people but it felt a lot more sinister than that. Either someone was in real trouble or someone was trying to get in... I feel as though it's the later because they disappeared when security came around.... Very weird situation
Hey Im glad you didnt open that door because that doesn't sound like ghosts at all... that sounds like you were about to be trafficked :/ a lot of people working in hotels are in on it. Ladies if you see someone crying out for help. CALL 911 FIRST.
Merch ideas: A Ghost! IT WAS JOHN Alexa: Play Careless Whisper Zombae Glam and Gore Damn It Peter Maybe some screenprints of your creepiest looks. I’ll come back if I think of more lol
@@goodiegoodygumdrops I know she was having some health issues around this time but yeah not sure of the whole story. I think a few other things went down as well but can't be sure
So my mom works in a hotel. She’s come across a dead body in a room, where a man had died on his bed from an overdose. And she’s come across a few sex workers. Hotels are terrifying lol
My boyfriend works in a hotel too and has had very similar experiences. You typically don’t think about it but it’s a really terrifying business to work in.
I strongly recommended checking out “Ask a Mortician” she covers Elisa Lam in a way that is really respectful / not sensationalist - I think y’all would like it
Night Mime nahhhhhh first season and the asylum were good. All seasons that I’ve seen (I’ve seen all up to the apocalypse) have been good except freak show imo
Night Mime i remember when it first came out and everyone was not loving it, it’s a masterpiece now compared to cult and apocalypse, those seasons are kinda trash imo, i just miss gaga 🥺
idea to solve your voice problems and still make videos: dress up peter like u, wig, makeup, everything. and then have him do the talking and you can do the random interjections that he does
Something else to consider, that maybe someone else has already mentioned - back before fingerprints and more specifically DNA were regularly used to investigate death, if the police couldn't figure out what happened, it was often ruled a suicide. So its entirely possible that some of those suicides may not really be suicides.
I wonder how the suicide statistics ( the % ) looks , now compared to back then. What your saying, really makes sense , like the police just wanted to solve the cases & not have them go “ “un diagnosed “.
spooky season is approaching, which means it's time to rewatch Mykie's ghost hunting/paranormal videos!! We miss you so much!!! Your health and happiness is our top priority , and I hope you are thriving like you deserve 🧡🖤
The reason so many ppl are never identified is because police departments have almost zero communication between states. Thats why serial killers often hit multiple states. It's almost impossible to track.
Guys, she's okay haha. She uploaded on her Instagram only a couple days ago. She just said she's taking a break due to health reasons. But please don't pressure her to upload.
@@naylaleifson9022 I know, and I can totally understand that!! I just noticed that some people in the comments were being rude rather than worrying about her.
Elisa lam had to be killed by a staff member. Missing footage of how she got up there, how she got thru a locked door, how her clothes disappeared, how the cap was put back on the tank and the list goes on.
The door to the water tank wasn’t actually locked. And the door was easy to open. If I recall correctly her clothes were in the tank with her, and if you get hypothermia it’s common to take off your clothes or she took them off cuz it was hard to swim. Not to mention the way she’s acting before shows signs of paranoia so it’s totally plausible that she had some undiagnosed mental illness and freaked out and then hide in the tank. There’s no ladder to the way out of the tank so she drowned. Sad, but she must have been having a manic episode.
@@katielest7529 the lid was closed after she got in there somehow and i dont think they found her clothes at all. (i could be wrong but thats what i remember). At one point it looks like she might be talking to someone off camera and calms down a bit, so she might have seen a staff member rather then whoever she was afraid of. She stops hiding in the corner of the elevator at that point and acts a bit more normal. being in water also destroys a lot of evidence especially being in it that long.
Katie Lest They found her without her clothes and there was no way for her to get up into the tank by herself because even the fire department had to bring their own ladder to get into it. Also the cap was actually closed and LOCKED and there’s no way to lock it from the inside, it was too heavy for a normal person to even lift it because they had to use a crane to lift the top off. This was all already proven
Hey Mykie, everybody misses you. It's 2022 now and I'm sure everybody is wondering where you are and missing you very much. Please come back to us because we miss you and your amazing content.
She’s explained it on her Instagram (she’s very active on that), but she has been having some health problems during the last year and still is. She wants to come back but she probably until she is mentally and physically ready (though she is going to!)
My granny worked at a hotel and told me about a time she found someone who suffocated themselves with the garbage bag. He had stayed over his checkout date and they couldn't get him to answer, so they asked my granny to check (I guess she had the toughest stomach), and sure enough... dead.
I would recommend that you literally postpone your october until youre ready to dive in. If we get spooky content in february, then we get spooky content in February. I dont want you to overwork yourself.
Mykie: talking about serious things like health problems and why she can't Ghost hunt Me: can't concentrate because she is looking fly af and can't take my eyes off her everything.
Can totally relate, I worked in age care when I was a teenager and I saw way to many dead bodies. Thinking back now I'm like damn, why the hell do they let teens work that job. Usually if you are an RN you're a minimum of 20 before you get into the profession of nursing but if your an AIN sometimes kids as young as 16 are seeing stuff they shouldn't be..
Ask a Mortician has a brilliant video on Elisa Lam for anyone who's interested in the mystery and doesn't necessarily want the "conspiracy" or confused version of the story as there's a lot of details to her death that people don't acknowledge as it doesn't add to the strange aspect of her tragedy but rather explains what may have happened more clearly.
Two years late, but I’ve got a couple of friends who have/do work in a hotel - it’s only been open a couple of years but they’ve already had two deaths (both natural causes), spookily enough both in room 13
GAGAGAGAGAAGAG this is wonderful! PRANK! It is terrible! I looked in the mirror and saw something UNPRETTY: my face. GAGAGAGAG! But I am happy again because I have TWO HOT GIRLFRIENDS and I make cool YT videos with them! Good evening, love and peace, dear niki
Mykie, however much you do make or don't make will be ok, don't force yourself to make videos if you don't feel like it. If you need to rest please rest and don't push yourself we'll all understand. I hope you get back to feeling like yourself hopefully soon though ♥️♥️
@@somethingsomething5067 umm I'm very triggered by your comment lmao. November is Thanksgiving, and Thanksgiving has yummy food, so it's one of the only good thing about it besides mine, my dad's, and my little cousins birthdays😂😂😂
With the Elisa lamb story. The thing that was strange was that the heavy lid of the water tank was shut but she would not have been able to shut it while falling
For something like LRADs I like it to be researched beforehand, but for something like this I think it’s fun to see your reaction and search along with you💕💕
Mykie~ are you okay? Zombaes miss ya, we miss Halloween content, I’m sure I speak for all when I saw we all want to make sure you’re okay and yk- goin •_•
Fun fact: I have the same mental health issues as Elisa Lam. I was put on the same meds. Weird paranormal experiences happen around me but never once during a manic episode did I think it would be fun to book a hotel, go out a fire escape, get completely undressed, and then go swimming in a water tanker. I'm calling bullshit. Mental health does explain a bit but not the full circumstances of her death. Like the elevator behavior is manic but the door should be closing. Maybe the elevator wasn't working right. Whatever happened to her was not normal and it feels like it was covered up.
That’s what kinda annoys me whenever something unexplainable happens 90% of the time they blame it on mental health issues or murderers and serial killers pleading “not guilty with reason of insanity” I saw somewhere and correct me if I’m wrong but it’s more likely for a person who’s mentally ill to be the victim rather than the perpetrator. P.s I’m not claiming to know everything about or what other people who have mental health issues go through so if I got anything wrong or offended anyone please tell me so I can fix my mistakes P.p.s thank you for the patience you have exhibited suffering through my rant 😂💛 🤟🏽
@@d33maaaa Yes, mentally ill people are more likely to be hurt themselves than to hurt others. They are also more at risk of being taken advantage of (and then not being believed because of their mental illness).
HEAR ME OUT: Two different types of merch. One with a “Glam” theme & one with a “Gore” theme. & MAYBE as a bonus piece you could do a hoodie/tshirt/sweatpants where half of it is glam & the other half is gore.
Maybe not like super gore tho? Bc if you wear it in public or something then you don't really know if someone gets triggered by it or they have a panic attacks. So what if it was like, the word Glam in super pretty like rhinestones, and gore in monster teeth :)
MooseMouse no i definitely don’t think it should be super gorey. I definitely meant like distressed. Like a ripped looked- maybe claw marks? bleach dyed. I love the teeth idea. I didn’t mean so much “gore”- more of like a -not glam- effect lol. I definitely understand what you’re saying though!!
No s h I t!! I kid you not! Careless whisper has ALWAYS been my favorite song!! By Seether of course! :) That T-shirt would be PERFECT! I can't believe she can't play it on her channel anymore 😭 such B.S!!! Lol 💞ya Zombae Amanda :):)
Things they could say: A ghost Alexa play careless whisper Designs: Creepy Halloween spooky type clothing that can be worn anytime Or ya know some wigs
Personally I’d LOVEEEE a series where Anthony/Katy/ peter/ spencer /anyone presents you with some spooky things they research and you react while doing your makeup. That way we still get to see your reaction and get our halloween fix all while you get to save your voice 😌
I’m a little newer to her channel, do y’all know what happened between her and spencer? I just peeped her mention how she doesn’t miss him and stuff and was curious.
TheMagicKnightress yeah but this water didn’t filter the dead body out. They were drinking straight diluted dead person juices. Tap water isn’t like that.
Hey Mykie! Regarding the LAM ELISA tests I can’t speak for the “Lam” part of it however I work in diagnostics and my building is currently manufacturing Covid Antibody kits called Covid IgG ELISA, this is because ELISA means ‘enzyme-linked immunoassay’ and basically detects any antibodies in blood. Nevertheless the coincidence of it being called LAM ELISA is very eerie..
I came here to say exactly that! I work in a medical lab and just everyone who doesn't know, knows (Mykie lol): it's pronounced EL-EYE- SA and it's one of the most common lab tests there is. It's also used for other things such as infections, autoimmune diseases, allergic reactions, enzyme deficiencies, protein levels, and certain cancers. Def an unrelated coincidence.
we're all missing Mykie like crazy as halloween 2022 creeps closer and closer and personally, I'd take a 5 second clip of Ripley and Creature screaming. thinking of a comeback video after so long is bound to be stressful, just want her to know we'd be happy with any level of content to ease her back into creating. we need our Queen Zombae back🎃👑🎃
HOTEL DEATH STORY: My family owns a small 13 bedroom Hotel in Spain, we've been open for 4 years, and we already had our first death. Since it is small, we actually live in the hotel to take care of it at night. One night we were just me and my sister, and we received a call at 2 AM from a room. A woman was saying that her husband wasn't breathing, so we rushed to the bedroom wile calling the emergency line, while an ambulance was coming, they told us though the phone that we had to take the man down the bed and put on the floor to start CPR, he was a very heavy old man but we managed to do it and followeed the instructions, a few minutes later I rushed to the front door to open the main gates to the police and the ambulance, they were not able to do anithing, so at around 5 in the morning a doctor came to confirm and sign the death, and at 6 a van from the local mortuary took the body. We quickly prepared another room for the wife and moved her there. At 8 we were serving breakfast and NONE of the other guests knew anything about what happened that night. The wife had to stay a few days to make the paperwork for the body, and a friend took the first flight to be with her, but we had the hotel fully booked and we changed her room because we were not going to let her sleep in the same bed where his husband died.... so we cleaned the room and made a few room reassignments and 24hrs later we were checking in a couple in that room. This happens more often than you think. They was a happy old couple enjoying retirement, that night before they were drinking Gin on the bar and enjoing life, when we went to the room they were both naked and the woman was just wearing a bathrobe. Moral of the story, live all your days like they were your last, aaaand, when you are in a hotel room, maybe the night before someone died and they just cleaned the room and gave it to you :)
TW I worked in a hotel (in Ireland) for 3 years and we had 3 suicides while I worked there. One was a man who was staying on business. Apparently he hung himself in his room. Another was a teenage boy - his parents were downstairs in the hotel bar when it happened. And the third was a woman who was from the local area, drove around the hotel multiple times, and found somewhere to climb on the OUTSIDE of the building and jumped. Lots of guests and staff saw that one.. I thankfully wasn’t on duty when any of this happened
Isabella Harrison yeah his parents apparently tried to get in to the room afterwards and couldn’t get in because the boy had the key. So they had to ask our manager to let them in so all three of them found him ☹️
In a year, that's about 1 in 1,000. If a hotel has been around for 25 years, you'd guess there's about a 1 in 40 chance that someone died in that room. Call their supervisor immediately. Every hotel will have a procedure in place for handling this
Oh my god, imagine being one of the people that drank and/or showered in that hotel and complained to the staff, only to find that it was because there was a dead body rotting in the tanks..god
I'm sitting here thinking "I've seen something about this..." and then I realized it was an Ask a Mortitian video. You guys really should collaborate when it's safe enough to do so. She's based in LA as well.
I really enjoyed the "research with you" format, feels more like hanging out than watching a presentation which is nice but we all just wanna vibe in quarantine.
i’d prefer videos more like the LRAD or Denver Airport video, it helps to follow the information when it’s already pre-organized into an easy to follow format as possessed or jumping around
Hey Mykie, just here to say I miss you. I think we all do. We are ready for you to come back and do more spooky Glam and gore. Hope you are doing okay!
Everyone: Listening to her in the intro My ADD: Get's me completely off track and stares at her hair and makeup most of the time....I love your hair btw!
I really enjoyed this different format, of learning with you. I'm so sorry to hear that your health hasn't been great; and I highly appreciate updating us all and letting us know. Please be sure to take care of yourself and don't overexert yourself on our behalf. We'll be here.
Hello. Bipolar person weighing in on Elisa’s case, here. I noticed on her toxicology report that Elisa was on Seroquel. It was the pediatric dose so she might have just started taking it and was in the process of titrating up or it wasn’t high enough to treat her psychotic symptoms, but either way, medicine doesn’t lie. She also wasn’t taking her other meds regularly (which can cause psychotic episodes due to higher anxiety b/c the antidepressants she was on were SNRIs and NDRIs) and only had Wellbutrin and Seroquel in her system the day she died. All of this to say as much as I’d love to prove everyone wrong about it being a manic psychotic episode and furthering the stigma of bipolar disorder being “dangerous,” in this case, I can’t. Elisa had a psychotic episode which resulted in her death. It’s unfortunate for her, her family and the bipolar community at large, to say the least. As a side note: Elisa took rooftop photos regularly and took one from the Cecil hotel, so she was clearly able to get up there with no problems. Unsure why the door to the water container wasn’t locked properly, but that combined with hallucinations of being chased and her propensity for being on rooftops... doesn’t take a rocket scientist to connect the dots.
@@nooodles5990 If she's having paranoid feelings of being chased she was probably pumped full of adrenaline. Also I've seen a lot of people who are small in size who are strong as hell.
"Imagine sharing a room with someone who turned out to be a serial killer" When my dad was younger he lived next to one of the killers in the Truro Murders (Australia), dad remembered him being a nice guy and talked to him frequently but remembered always hearing him beat his wife and was so shocked when he saw his mugshot on the news and learnt of the crimes he was involved in. It still freaks me out to this day to think that my dad could have been murdered but he just thinks its an interesting fact. Edit: didn't think this would pick up so much traction but I thought I would clarify some things. 1. Yes my dad didn't report the domestic violence (have never asked him why he didn't) and he regrets not reporting it but back then it was common (still doesn't make it okay) but she ended up getting out okay after he was locked up and we sometimes see her and she's doing so well and thanks dad for having conversations with her when he could because her ex husband (the serial killer) wouldn't let her out of the building complex. 2. Even though dad knew he was beating his wife it was still shocking to see his mugshot on the news since dad had conversed with him frequently and would never think that someone who you thought was somewhat decent would be a serial killer. If I think of anymore things that I need to address or anymore questions I'll try my best to answer them.
