I personally can't think of much better sports cars you can buy for around a 100k and I will be filming a second video in the next weeks on a mountain pass (feel free to recommend a pass you want to see) with it which should be a lot of fun!

Lol I would easily take a viper TA over this anyday. The gt4 is an amazing car though but it's terribly overpriced. It's damn near the same price as a gt3 which is insane to me. Yeah it's a great car but these new Porsches and their price tags are something else.

Luke, I am lucky enough to have a GT4 specced with carbon buckets, carbon fibre trim, red stitching and I think it is awesome and I believe that you cannot get another car on the planet that is a better value. I am old school with all my vehicles being manual and I live for the Heel N' Toe. I am sure you will find this out but you can turn the auto-blip function on / off when you want to. I don't presume to think that I can Heel N' Toe faster and more efficiently than a Porsche computer but I do still do find it more rewarding than having the auto-blip do it for me! Looking forward to more videos

I also love squeaky brakes. Finally drove the new 991.2 manual gt3. It's quite a step up. How do you feel looking back at the GT4 since having spent a lot of time with the new GT3?

I own a 981 Cayman (manual) and, I never drove a GT4, but, I fully understand why you're in love with this one. I'm curious to try one, one day, who knows. But, about harness in our country, can you really drove with without being arrested by the police ? I was always thinking that you can't use harness on the road. Like always it's a pleasure to watch your work ;-)

haha, I fully understand you :-P. If you really need to try a simple 981 one day, maybe, I can do something for you, but, need to change my tyre before, maybe next year.
well you can always own a GT4 GT3RS with aftermarket 5-point harness and a normal seatbelt If your not driving on track etc the harness can be retracted behind the seats and use the normal seat belt for daily purposes (:
Yeah a bit more practical to live with. Plus people won't notice a GTS as much as a GT4, so you're less likely to find your driveway empty in the morning! ;) Any chance of you getting your hands on one for a video? Keep up the good work :)
5-point racing harnesses aren't meant for the street, if you get in a crash you can damage ur neck severely since the 5-point holds everything but ur head. the reason they are safer on the track is because of the neck brace and helmet holding your head. If u love harnesses then have a harness, just letting you know.
Honestly I don't know why you haven't at least as much subscribers as STG, SOL or MRJWW. I personally can't find any difference in Video quality and content. Your colourgrading is even better than theirs. As always great video! Keep up the good work, sooner or later you will catch up with these guys

They are very very nice. There's a Porsche garage next to where I work and they have a white GT4 in their showroom which I walk past every lunchtime, and it just seems to sit there and taunt me!
I'm a lucky owner of a GT4. My profile pic was taken up in the pennines in north England. It's a great mountain pass car where you can thread corners together very neatly, or sideways! Where it really comes into its own is on the track. I take mine to various tracks in northern France, Val de Vienne is my favourite. Had many a track battle with GT3's. Depending on the track, I've often out-paced the GT3's. This car can brake late and still get round the corner. Nothing more amusing than barreling down a straight at 140mph, then watching passengers right legs instinctively stretch out for the brake peddle at the 150m board and start screaming at the 100m board... BRAKES!!!! Yes, that amuses me, much. Stock wheels, exhaust and brakes. After market not required on this bad boy.

Luke - what about a Renault Clio 182 'Trophy'? They made 50 for the Swiss market. About 1/6th of the price of a GT4. Some owners have both cars in their collection, and many would argue (especially for what you want the car for) - it would be at least as much fun???
Awesome video as always Luke! There's a guy on youtube called Joe Knows Best from USA and he had a red Cayman GT4, Absolutely beautiful car. I've never been a fan of Porsche apart from the 911 GT3 RS and this. This one is a perfect drivers car. Also I'm sure there is a way to turn the automatic heel and toe off so you can do it yourself, not too sure though

Exactly! especially considering the price. And my ntive language is English but now after some years living in Swiss I can also speak ein wenig Deutsch ;-)
I know this is going to sound dumb, cause everyone wants the latest and greatest - but you should seriously try a 997 S with the 3.8L and manual box... The dot 1 puts out 355hp and the dot 2 puts out 380 - and the sound and ride are wild when you get on it. Cheaper than a GT4 and I think an almost equal experience on the road [people will argue otherwise for the track - but what are you going to do more of]. Cheers.
Does this GT4 have an aftermarket exhaust installed? It sounds quite a lot louder than the OEM exhaust. Great video and especially enjoyed listening to that flat-6. You are lucky you have so many nice roads over there.
You will only get more hurt having the 5point seatbelts without a helmet and proper neckbrace. If you crash your neck will be fucked up seriously. I’d rather drive without a seatbelt than with a 5p without neckbrace and helmet.

Hi Luke, great video. I am considering getting one, but quick question. As the car is always technically in sports plus, does driving it as an everyday car when you aren’t giving it some mean the engine is always deafening you and the passenger. I’m mostly thinking about practicality of long motorway journeys. I have the GTS now and like being able to switch out of sports plus mode....
Not $100,000 more like $140,000 and does 0-60 in 4 secs. Will never be truly great because Porsche will never give it the horsepower it needs as they are protecting the 911.
took me 15 years to get one ,well anyone but she sweet and dialled in . Ive driven owned tuner cars ect but mechanical noise and for me mid engined its that feeling ..Porsche mechanical engineering that make any sense haha? Love it even my old banger ha!
Cars with Luke look like a road version of a gt3RS. The 911 it's Simply beautiful but its performance is too much for the road probably, but the gt4...
