Been watching your videos for a while and I find it so funny that because you complain a lot for comedy purposes (or because it’s ranked) some people goes in the comments saying like you shouldn’t lose battles while playing nina as if you’re still not learning the character. It is complicated..I feel your pain, when I first hit battle ruler it was very frustrating.. i took a break from ranked and sometimes took a break from it all together I went back in and I finally hit Fujin. I didn’t ever get a demotion risk but I could not build the momentum I needed to get the rank.. just hang in there.. maybe create a Smurf account start at the beginning build your rank up that way and also do some player matches..I say this because it keeps you in practice without the frustration.. If you struggle against a specific character, you need to lab. And you need to do that for every character. There are no impressive players at purple ranks, you just need to check them with knowing the matchup. Also, as a Nina player, you need to expunge "dogshit character" from your vocabulary
Just take breaks. I do ranked is small bursts. I mainly play offline and sessions but most ranked sets I only do 10-20 games at a time. And on occasions I'll do a long set of I'm thirsting for a new rank like recently I got one and stayed in for a hot min to get TK. On a break now working on tech and offline and when I get back one I'm just going to focus one moving up chunk my chunk
Currently my drive is practicing over and over and playing other players in casual match and friends cuz I learn from my mistakes from different matchups and whenever I hop on rank I see myself doing better

Bryan and I have been stuck at battle ruler for a while now and I used to get extremely angry but I just realized that I'm only playing for fun and to improve. So I take every loss with a grain of salt and usually just laugh. We'll make it out gang. Stay strong
I'm pretty sure I'm late saying this- but as far as gameplay, you're doing fine. I definitely think you have to polish up on combos and strings. Mindset entering the match is very important in my opinion, never take a fight personally unless it's an actual first to what ever. Something I think you're misunderstanding is the rank points you've got built up. 200k+ or even 250k+ are ppl that very skilled/longevity or they can fake it till they make it(abuse or strings and frame traps) that Feng you fought was more than likely 'learning' a different character like you were, meaning they probably have a different character at a higher rank. 😊 you're gameplay is awesome
My friend got Tekken a month ago. He was playing Alisa, told him to try out Victor since he's easier to use and could climb the ranks as well because he's got a decent/powerful/easier kit than most. He reached Battle Ruler in 2 days with him... ( I was Battle Ruler for months with Jin and was proud of it) Out of pettiness, I played non stop till I got Fujin... In other words: Rank is for all sorts of weird reasons...
I really enjoy losing a game and then reviewing what i could've done better because knowledge is 🗝️ in this game. i play Steve and i struggle a lot in ranked too but here I've been clapping blue ranks as a purple👏
i never play ranked XD i only really play after warming up with quick match or practice mode first, that way i can feel like im at (somewhat) peak performance. ^^ also love your vids !!!

I play ranked because I believe that I can beat anybody on the planet if I improve upon my losses and the rank tracks my improvement consistency. Got Kaz to Raijin then he got buffed so I switched to bryan and got him a couple matches from raijin. I can hit blue very easily with most characters and honestly it’s just fun learning the game and bodying people after learning matchups. its the whole process from learning the characters to labbing then seeing the lab payoff and getting points for it, I love that process.
My goal was to hit blue. Now that I have three characters at Fujin, I am taking a big break to see how the battle prowess matchmaking affects my enjoyment of quick matches. With wherever you are, the battle prowess follows into all matchmaking other than player matches, so the game kinda...stays equally sweaty even if you quit ranked. But at least I don't have any additional stress. I'm learning other match ups, playing different characters, and just kinda vibing. Once I feel like my level of play is strong enough to contend at higher ranks, I'll do it, but I feel like I'm getting a lot of challenge at this current level. Also -- don't make the mistake of downplaying your opps. Give them respect when they beat you and lab out the replays. I know salt gets views, but it's a toxic trait that's fundamentally limiting. If someone beats you on ranked, like Paul or Bryan, maybe try and add them to get player matches to get better at that match-up.
I play ranked mostly for making content on RU-vid and 4 ranking up as much as I can, can I give you a lil tip for the reason why I have good games in ranked is all because of patience and focusing on not getting mad because if your mad you can't concentrate and you usually wined up losing, just take your time and try to focus on not getting mad and you should be ok and the key thing here be patient and you mostly should win games!
You need to practice defense more for the most part you just hold back or walk back, practice SS & KBD to get out of pressure moves, also you need to utilize different strings instead of overusing 4,4,4. you also don’t punish enough despite playing a character with great punishments tools like forward 3 and df1. Good pressure tools to use are f4, 2 or f4 SSR 1 / Grab
I don't play rankeds often, cause I don't give a shit about my rank. I got flame ruler on Jin and now playing Nina, Kazuya and Asuka on normal games. Focusing on defensive style and learning the game constantly. I like Tekken 8 and when i adapted to it, I can say that I enjoy Tekken 8 so much more than Tekken 7. I am just having fun with this game and don't want to be frustrated, so I play ranked only with 1 character, the others I just learn in normal games. About Paule, he has so much bullshit, but his deathfist is easy steppable. I got hit maybe 2 times by that in my life.

You play Nina... You have no right to call any other character in this game unfair or dogshit. You are failing basic knowledge checks with half the cast. This is no one's fault but yours. You won't improve without lab work, the game is not going to just come to you magically. Get in the lab. This is why NA is the worst region in gaming period because you all have this attitude.

I would say I would outright quit ranked in Tekken 8 but you see since I'm a lot newer to Tekken I there is still much I do not know I have a Pocket Nina unfortunately she's not doing so hot and the rest of my roster just so HAPPENS to be problem characters for you barring DLC which I didn't get and if I DO end up getting the DLC Eddy is NOT going to be on the list if I can help it. Enough of the base roster is hated without me purchasing DLC to get more hate to be honest. In terms of ranked MOST of my achievements are locked behind ranked I already have 100 percent achievements in Tekken 8 right now.

You need to learn Nina’s move list better and have more counter attach hits and have better blocking to be able to improve in ranks .. look at me I’m a Tekken King and still learning
Thats the main problem of most players - they go to rank they grind like crazy to climb 1-3 rank and after drop the same amount or even more. Let me give u advice someone who got demoted only one time on main and never on pocket pick. Look if u climb 1-3 ranks u will meet in theory better players. And now tell me how your game improve from this time? Answer is simple it doesnt. So if u play on same lvl why u expect u will pass higher? Thats why u start loosing, geting frustrated and this will help u demote very quick. Let me tell u method tat help u climb ranks and improve as a player... STOP WITH RANKS - yes stop u just reached your limit as a player and now with this skill u will hang out in those rank and never go to mid/high blue. Go to quick games and play there - why?cuz u will get also +/- ppl on your lvl but now u will play without frustration. Now when u loose u can go to replays and start study what kill u but difference bow is your gameplay is without frustration and this is fundamental thing if u want improve. Next one pls stop mashing stop doing random launchers keep focus on poking and punishing - learn 1-2 punishers on neutral and 1-2 in fc and try implement them on quick matches. Belive me poking + punishing will create much more situations to launch than random launchers. Take your time - spend on quick games even weeks untill u feel u rly improve then go to rang climb 1-2 ranks and back to quicks why? Cuz again now u will meet stronger players than before. Trate quick game as a preparation and rank as a egzam. Also dont waste time for just pressing - if u dont have fundamental knowledge about your character ( punishers, tools, key moves etc) just call i can help u.

Well, I play Tekken because I enjoy it, like the game and to improve gradually. People get sweaty in ranked but that's what it's for. If you're not enjoying it then take a break, play some quick matches, Tekken Ball or something. Ranked can stress me out on occasion but even then I'm being silly because it's just a game. You take ranked too seriously. Your mentality is kind of terrible as well at the moment unfortunately. This isn't Street Fighter 6. It sounds like this is your first Tekken. You're constantly complaining about everything when that's literally the point of the game. It's gimmicks upon gimmicks, it's always been like this and it's partly why people play it over SF6- easy to pick up, hard to master. You're hating on your opponents for just playing the game. If someone has good stuff why wouldn't they use it? That's the point of the game- if anything get mad at the developers of the game for making it as such. Literally everyone has gimmicky shit and 80 moves and they're usually easy to do- that's Tekken. While you're complaining about whatever the opponent throws out, the opponent is getting even a further advantage while you're not paying attention. Your opponents aren't even being rude or anything and you're still shitting on them. From what I saw in this video your opponents weren't even that good- in Tekken 7 towards the tail end these players would have been green ranks. You're constantly disparaging the opponent's skill like that Nina player when yeah no shit they're noobies learning the game- like yourself. It's okay to be bad, it's a hard game and you start gloating over one match when long sets are more indicative of skill in Tekken- in a certain sense. Not to say that short sets means you're bad or isn't a skill in itself but it's easy to lose in Tekken and if you lose most games in a long set the opponent is probably more skilled. Harder to win when people adjust. I think you should adjust your disposition and you'll enjoy the game more. Complaining a bit is fine, good even as a joke or when sincere, as a criticism perhaps but you're wasting energy being negative, complaining about people literally playing the game how it's designed. You might be too focused on winning and ranked and displaying that you're a good player or something because you seem relatively new to me. Not that you're not good in certain senses but 8 months is not a lot of time for Tekken. People's skills in Tekken really develop over the years. I've been playing for years and I'm still bad.
You playing nina and complaining about the hardest characters to use in the game like paul and bryan is the biggest and best definition of skill issue i've ever seen

Tbh Nina and Zafina top the list for doodoo characters. Nina strings are highly abusable with bad internet. Also you play pretty cheap as well though tbh.
