Hmm. My first two projects ever earned me around $850. Total time spent had to be 34-35 hrs

Finally someone tells the right thoughts. It's so funny seeing people just follow someone's style, especially from the finance niche, and transfer it to other niches. And they're not even good at it, just using cheap methods to "get rich quick" lol. Thousands of these copycats are on twitter, youtube, reddit. Tbf I saw a few people who are good at editing but It's like 1/100. And usually, it's people who have evolved their own style by combining other styles. Also funny seeing vids like "How to earn XYZ from video editing/yt faceless channels/..." or "How to edit like XYZ" (sometimes they have 1-3k views only) and people follow these "RU-vidrs" not realizing THEY are the product (viewer = monetization for these channels) because you won't learn anything from these videos 9/10 times. And this is the problem: the rise of editors who copy Iman Gadzhi is because they became the product of other entrepreneur-editors-youtubers and dumped the market.
