That Star Trek piece is from the 1992 Star Trek: The Next Generation shuttlecraft playset released by Playmates toys. It slid inside the floor part. In order to put your figures in, you had to pull that piece out. Some kid probably forgot to put it back inside years ago.

I tried promoted listing because I wasn’t getting views or sales. Guess what when you put promoted on one item then eBay charges you on all your sales as if you promoted them too but you didn’t select promoted on other items! Also the views and placement didn’t change at all when I promoted. The less people that use promoted the better and hopefully eBay will revert their site back to the way it used to be.

@bennystratton7734 You are giving a bad suggestion about getting a traditional 9 to 5 job. This is why we are selling online to stop being a slave to capitalists. The reality is that most people have become a slave to eBay. I simply stated the truth as revealed to me. Some people work hard on eBay and are doing extremely well...and some people are working hard and do not get the outcome they desire. It makes no sense to increase the selling limits to generate more listings if sales and searches continue to be funneled and manipulated.

@@Ir-of4znI have to disagree with you majority have been reselling for decades to not have a boss or company to answer to thats a fact! being a reseller is hard work and anyone doimg this correctly know you cant do this full time by just doimg ebay period there is no debating this it's very hard work to be a full time reseller you have diversify every aspect of your business to be doing this tihing we call reselling thank God the current batch of youtubers have started to actually point this truth out in there videos and messaging. Also what you might think is not "doing well" others might it all depends on where you live the cost of living might be higher for one seller and less for another even if your working a 9-5 and and getting paid federal minimum wage $7.25 your making $1160 a month before taxes taking out. If your making $15 per hour and working 40 hours per week you make $2400 per month before taxes. so a seller making $5k net after all business expenses are taken into account ( so supplies, storage/warehouse rent, gas, electric, cell phone, internet, selling fees, postage and so on) so after all that if your netting $5k to spend on your personal bills or put in savings some will consider that doing very well others for some crazy reason might think that's not doing very well. If someone only needs $3500 for there personal bills and netting 5k they actually have $1500 to either reinvest in there business, put in savings or do a bit a both. yes I agree I do not like what ebay is doing and frankly doimg this full time for the last 25 years and running a business (not a hobby) there have been many things I as a business owner have not liked what ebay has done I know many business owners that have quit/ stopped selling on ebay because of ebays business decisions just understand just because they did something under the guise as a business move or decision does not mean it was the correct decision time will tell if the current changes and business decisions that ebay has made over the last few years were good or bad decision I'll go on record now as a 25 plus year full time reseller to say the majority of decision ebay has made are bad business decisions that are not Good for the long term

There is definitely a summer slowdown for me. On July 1st it was like eBay switched off. I have had no sale since June 30th. I have still been listing daily, reducing prices and taking down stale inventory.

Oh no! The problems are still there and are getting worse. eBay is definitely punishing sellers who don’t list regularly, regardless of how many items you have listed. Which is ridiculous! You’re not hearing people complaining because they are fatigued! They are tired of complaining about it and not being heard. They are either now selling on other platforms or went back to work in the real world, making eBay a side hustle again. This move to get sellers to list more is the death blow!! The industry is already seeing the effects of market saturation and this will only make it worse. Compound that with ridiculous shipping costs and thrift stores raising prices…..it’s a recipe for a disaster. The market is definitely headed towards a crash.

I've noticed that when I buy return shipping from Ebay for a customer, Ebay charges more than original shipping. Ebay is making money on shipping! I buy return shipping labels from Pirate Ship to save money. Ebay is just plain greedy.

Same here. I was just charged $8 for a buyers return label, that should have been $5 at the most. Also, ebay sided with me that the buyer returned the wrong item and still charged me for the return label!!!!! Absurdity!

I have noticed that my shipping is being changed without my knowledge. Going from standard shipping to priority and 1 day and even free shipping. I noticed this a few months ago and now I literally have to check all my shipping in business policy area. It keeps happening! If you have not noticed this, you might want to check! So frustrating. I did the cheaper shipping to see how it went. I lost $$. And my feedback score on shipping cost went from 4.9 to 4.8 ....WHAT?! Decided to go back to keeping the discount for my business to cover the %, packing cost, upgrading when possible, etc.

Ebay has major issues listing proper item views. I spoke to Ebay aprox. 2 months ago and did question this.Ebay knows they have problems and really doesnt care. The rep said they were aware of the problem and were working on it. This has been happening for several months. What kind of stupid techs do they have that they cant fix this. This is a multi billion dollar company that cant fix some simple like this.They could afford the best techs in the world.

The thing about investing is that it has changed. It used to be, that shareholders weren’t guaranteed an annual payout. Sometimes companies weren’t doing so well, or they needed to expend capital to grow. But now, it seems like paying shareholders is seen as mandatory and worse, is often used as an excuse to make cuts to the workforce, salaries, benefits and conditions etc

Instead of following their lead, eBay should be positioning themselves as the anti-Temu. Buying quality vintage clothing and other items that are made to last from American sellers is a win-win that can appeal to everyone. It is patriotic, it is environmentally responsible, it is socially responsible, supports American jobs and keeps American wealth in America etc.

Hi Kevin, Ty for all you do and the info you put out there for resellers is priceless. I'm currently a hobby reseller and have not purchased a store front. I too received the $5M increase in eBay sales allowance. Why? I can only list up to 250 items per month (including previous listings which rollover). If I were to go above this based on the gracious email from eBay, I would then incur a fee, per item, over my allotted 250 (fee-less) listings per month. No one is talking, i.e., warning eBay listers about this to assure they're aware. Not even in teeny tiny small print. Maybe this isn't an issue for many, but over listing limit fees can add up quickly. Based on my experience where people don't read, I see it as an issue. What say you?

I tried to open a 3rd store to spread out my inventory to free up space and seperate my men's clothing and my women's clothing and got permanently banned immediately after registering my account and had not listed a thing. The A.I tried to block me from getting the number to customer service but I found their phone number online and called them to find out the reason. and apparently, they claimed that the name in email address I used to register was different than my legal name I put in my ebay account as I use my middle name in my email. Even though I don't communicate with customers via my email account. Communicate with customers can only be done via my eBay account, that's just for notifications, but they claim that was the reason they suspend me indefinetly. And that I'm never allowed to open another store on ebay again even though I have 2 stores, so eBay is really got some security systems issues. I could only imagine how many customers tried to sign up to buy on eBay who have that issue with that different names where they go by the name BOB in their email but put their legal name as ROBERT only to get immediately permanently banned from eBay, then they get blocked from custmer service via the A.I bot to find out why, give up and bad mouth ebay to other potential customers. Ebay has a flawed security system as my sellin on ebay for over 15 year was not enough for an apology and unbanning my account so I could load inventory in it. Instead the agent out and out lied and made up a tale that my other accounts had suspension on it an absolute lie. This is why these other platforms are going to slowly grind off Seller inventory and potential buyers if ebay just keeps acting like they're the God platform of reselling and treating sellers, especially when they discovered.I am a current top rated seller for over 15 years.It should have been escalated and removed, as they should know by now some sellers open more than one store, Which I was told I can open as many stores as I want. Just make sure the name in your email. That doesn't have any connection to communicating with customers. Matches your legal name in your ebay account. And in my other 2 stores my name in my email doesn't match my legal name in my eBay account. So how much that story is true, only ebay knows 🤬

I got into trouble with ebay and they not only restricted my account, but ebay lowered my selling limits and delisted over 3/4 of my items. I delisted all my items and now only have 23 items listed in that store. Well after the bad things fell off they raised my selling limits. I think they goofed up. I now literally have no monthly limits. Items or money wise. Still haven't relisted everything they removed.

IMO if they want us to list more, raise the 250 free listing's. I know store owners get more, but with only a few sells a month it isn't worth it to me. When I stay consistent at having to watch my listing amount, i will get a store. I'm around 200 listing. Being able to list 5mil items didn't help me.

You can list up to 250 listings a month but the fixed priced auctions carry over if they don't sell. I know it's a high and most likely unreachable selling limit eBay gives us but over time, eBay has allowed us to have more auctions for sale.

@elbertchoi4866 hi, thanks for your reply. Yes, I know about the monthly rollover going against the number per month. That is why I can't list very many new items. I have to wait till some sell to list more. I sell vintage and one offs. So my items are long tale. Last month I started going in, most days, and ending and sell similar the ones ready to auto relist. That has seemed to help move some items. :o)

Hi I wasn't aware of the rollover listings counting against the total number of listings per month. That used to the the case but not anymore for me. Maybe it's because you are a newer seller than me. Good luck on your sales.

@elbertchoi4866 as far as I know, when the item is relisted by eBay, monthly, It counts against your total monthly allowance. I have been selling just over 3 years, and I'm above average seller Only because I don't offer returns and 3 day handling time. Although I usually ship in one day, I don't want the pressure of one day. Lol I just want more free ones, so I can list more without listing fees or a store fee. Although I know I get discounted fees with a store also. So still deciding if a store is worth it if I'm only selling a few a month. 🤔 for now I will just add something when something sells and end and sell similar the rest that will auto relist anyway.

Actually they auto relist daily a month after being listed. So some days I have more to end and some day not many. Depends on how many I listed that day a month ago.

I upped my volume last year and they killed my store! Can't figure out what their plan is. I'd love to increase the size of my store but after they killed my store I just can't justify putting more money into the Ebay platform. I'm meeting with Ebay next week, so we'll see what they have to say.

You touch on a lot of interesting points. Ebay is doubling down on everything that increases engagement on the site (for both buyers & sellers). If you think about it, by throttling sales they're actually manipulating (or call it subliminal marketing..) behaviors that promote an outcome they're hoping for: A market place where the most ambitious/best sellers, who create the best listings and sell at the best price buyers can find online.

I opted in for passing shipping savings to customers. My sales are up, but I had 2 small packages go to California, and the customers were charged 6.49 and I was charged 7.89 . So may opt out

Duh this is why selkers like myself that have been reselling full time knew giving your discount that you earn (not the buyer) is the worst thing to do as a business owner most business pass the cost to the consumer in this case its our buyers. Also If your giving your discount to the buyer especially on items over 1lbs you better have exact dimensions and weight or you will be on the hook for postage

@@commonwealthflipper ebay has been pushing sellers to do free shipping for at least a decade plus only the gullible ones got suckered into that btw sellers that do free shipping after all is said and done after all overhead costs per month are calculated up those sellers are not doing very well they might be making 10-20% net the other 80% is going to costs if there not crunching the numbers there just fooling themselves and living in a fantasy world btw even technsports stated to net 100k you have to gross 300k

My sales have increased, I’m doing way better now than I was in q4. I have been finding excellent items to flip though, so that makes a huge difference. Just a few 100 plus sales can take an average week and turn it into a very good week.

I think it's fun, my daughter and I have our own accounts but we pick together and every time we make money off of something we love doing .....we giggle with joy. The only thing that's more fun than that..... is getting great reviews from people whose expectations we exceeded with our products. My daughter's in college and loves the availability to make extra money without having to commit to a regular schedule.

I think the reason eBay is extending the shipping discount to the buyer is that there is such a huge difference between the counter rate and out discounted rate that many people that charge calculated shipping are pricing themselves out of the market value if the item. I listed something yesterday that hadna total market value of $50, the calculated shipping to CA was over $30 but my cost was about $9.

It is constantly denied that our constitution/ Declaration of Independence and bill of rights rights were solely inspired by Judeo Christian beliefs and ideology. I had friend and pastor that was born and raised in the Philippines bring up this point. “ Even the poorest Americans still have cell phones cars. Making them unbelievably rich” he would continue by stating that in the Philippines very few had such luxuries.

Yes, its constantly denied because neither has anything to do with Judeo Christian beliefs! The bill of rights was based on the Magna Carta. The only mention of anything religious is the 1st Amendment "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." The declaration of independence was a declaration of war with England. Thomas Jefferson, was a Deist, he didn't believe in a god of the bible, he believed in a Supreme Being. Please respect history and facts.
