Where is the fiber in meat, which is actually a good source to keep healthy. Don't brainwash everyone by saying eating meat is healthy and what others eat is not. Everyone has their own way of diet and lifestyle, they still stay healthy. Either vegetarian or non-vegetarian or vegan, you need to have a balanced diet by taking proper protein, fiber and carb. With proper exercise and fasting (intermittent fasting may help) we can stay fit and healthy. This podcast is just nonsense to promote meat by saying what others eat is not healthy.
Few years back I moved from Northeast of India to Delhi, before I moved there I was lean and had a athletic body. In the Northeast diet is mostly meat combined with some local veggies which are mostly boiled or fried using the animals fat . Few years in Delhi, my lean body disapperaed and I had this huge belly fat because of all the carbs I consumed and amount of fried oil i ate. Then came the constant feeling of tirednesss and depression also craved in. I was always fatigued and depressed and didnt know what the reasons was. Then lockdown happend and I moved back home and began eating the diet I was before Delhi and noticed that in a few months my fatigue and depression slowly started disappearing and it felt great and so to complement that development I began working out as well and following mixed carnivore diet. Now im back to being lean and athletic and never felt so great. Diet is important but diet varies for people. What may work for me many not work for you. All the best to those trying to find whats best for them including those on a vegetarian diet.
Well I think it's common sense that eating eating mad carbs and fried foods is going to do that to you lol. People seem to equate vegetarianism with basically friend foots and potatoes. I'm a Punjabi Hindu, like most of the NW I grew up vegetarian and still am vegetarian. I don't have any issues, my hemoglobin is better than my meat eating friends, stomach is lean, etc. Now if I go out and eat a bunch of samose and fried paneer then yes I'm going to definitely start feeling fatigued, put on weight, etc. The point is that it isn't so much about eating meat vs not eating meat. It's about how are you eating your foods. If you started frying your meat everyday and eating let's say 1 cup of it every meal with minimal vegetables, or better yet vegetables made in heavy oil and/or butter, see how you feel. It'll probably be a repeat of what you felt in Delhi. Now if you cook your foods lightly, better yet boil them, season them with a light hand and eat it fresh, you're going to feel better damn good.
@@SalakkoSangma-bp2ugno no veggie oil. Especially when you are not used to it. I despite having the habit cannot digest Delhi street or restaurant food. I was burping all day
Indian Joe Rogan and Paul Saladino talking about animal based. Jokes aside, she coached me for 4 months and I was probably her worst client (didn’t log my meals most of the times) and I still lost 10 kgs or more and sizeable amount of inches. People noticed it. She is also pretty flexible with your food. Had I done it with ful consistency, would’ve lost more. 10/10 would recommend
30k something. Honestly her diet is just a notch better than others, but her other advises were great for me. Switching fasting times, avoiding vegetables because of my IBS, hunger hacks And this is for 4 months or so
For vegetarians :- Legit protein sources - Legumes have some protein but have complex carbohydrates. Dairy good for you, Paneer, Milk, Curd, Hung Curd, Greek yogurt - Amino acid profile completed. Supplement, you will need. Like B12 (meat based), Vitamin D. Whey Protein (As supplement not as meal replacement). This will cover 60-70% of your need for nutrition. Then layer it with :- Non starchy vegetables. Lentils and legumes. Finally carbohydrates (If you are healthy).
@@krox477Vitamin B12 is there is dairy also And btw most of the Vitamin B12 that we get from the animals are also fed with Vitamin B12 supplements 90% of the Vitamin B12 supplements are made to fed the farmed animals
Nutrition is very complex.. You will find many Vegans like myself who feels great on plant based diet You will find many people following carnivore diet feeling great You will find paleo, frutarians, vegetarians, non vegetarians etc etc and they all say they feel gr8.. There cannot be one true universal diet. However, plantbased diet is more sustainable
Exactly! Carnivore gives study like how vegans are more vulnerable for diabetes and what not like this two are doing here.. And other side even vegans also bashing carnivores for same reasons.. But vegans diet win this battle by scoring +1 when it comes to sustainability..
Dude every single indian has a terrible bodytype, and the average indian is vastly vegetarian. 5kg of meat a year, which is the average Indians consumption is basically vegetarial.
Carnivore diet is use to solve auto immune health isssues. People without those issues can rely on any diet and remain healthy. However people who are suffering tremendously from health issues like psoriasis, celiac, eczema, gut issues, arthritis should try carnivore diet
Agh, great interview, but so frustrating when you switch between languages. No idea what's being said. Would love some subtitles for those parts. Anyway, good to see some Indians discussing meat based eating.
I love her. She has mended my deflated soul. I am so much of a high meat low carb person that in this country even talking about it is like war with God. She is an absolute pathfinder.
I have watched only 2 of DC episodes in full-and both with Sangeeta. She’s the only big voice of sanity about health in India. Super valuable episodes.
Well I think it's common sense that eating eating mad carbs and fried foods is going to do that to you lol. People seem to equate vegetarianism with basically friend foots and potatoes. I'm a Punjabi Hindu, like most of the NW I grew up vegetarian. Incidentally most of India's wrestlers come from my state of Punjab and of course areas of historically Greater Punjab prior to trifurcation in the 1960s- Haryana and Himachal. I began eating lots of chicken into my young adulthood because of the protein craze. I'm talking like every single day I wanted chicken and was eating it for at least 10 years multiple meals a day. Became anemic, felt sluggish, depressed, etc. Decided to go back to being vegetarian once I'd had enough and literally had no energy to get through a day despite telling myself I was eating lots of protein so I should feel great yet clearly didn't. Now I'm back to being vegetarian for the past 6 yeras. I don't have any issues now, my hemoglobin is better than my meat eating friends, stomach is lean, etc. It'll probably be a repeat of feeling sluggish and completely gross. Now if you cook your foods lightly, better yet boil them, season them with a light hand and eat it fresh, you're going to feel better damn good. I do also think that certain people have genetic tendencies and bodies better equipt to be vegetarian. For example, they say blood type B does better with a vegetarian diet than a meat based one, which I incidentally am a blood type B. Regardless, I think the bigger factor is what you grow up eating and what your ancestors ate is what your genetics is best equipped to process and feel good at. I know lots of meat eaters to transitioned to being vegetarian and felt great and many who also felt like complete sh/t. It's all about a balanced diet and making sure you get all your nutrients from fresh well nutritious sources. Not hating on anyone, but this whole vegan craze is going to end badly for people. Vegetarians need milk, paneer, ghee, etc for healthy fats. Cut that out and you're effectively going to be a machine running on low with no good cholesterol in your system.
A cheap promo for crappy vegetarian diet. 😂 I witness a woman who was vegetarian all her, but git serious malnutrition issue so at critical condition doctor recommend her to eat egg as there's not enough protein in her body. There's no way you can say that vegetarian is the best. A healthy well proportion of non vegetarian ( esp fish- omega free fatty acids) + vegetarian diet is a must for a healthy body
1:26:49 I've heard from a psychologist that it's the older evolutionary mechanism that we are stuck with. Predators were the main instantaneous danger prehistoric humans had, so they run to escape because of the adrenaline and then they calm down after escape. The 'dangers' we now face are not things that we need to literally 'run' from, but we are stuck with the unupdated version of our stress response. So, if you get anxious or stressed about something, your body needs to go through some kind of cardio movement and increase of heartrate to signal the adrenaline to go back down to normal state, calm down. We probably do stuff like pacing around because of this.
As Podcaster you should not take any sides , instead ask questions without any judgment..which will bring interesting conversations…you should talk both sides ….
For sangeetha it was uncomfortable to speak on stand mic You could have arrange her a color mic ....... Otherwise the whole 2hrs podcast was very very helpful You could also have a one hour ......session
Basically pork farming is not systematic in india if it is systematic clean then Indians will have another cheap source of protein along we also should do proper buffalo meat farming
I am living in the west and shocked by what they’re talking about. People here are moving away from red meat. Sea food is high in mercury at times, not advisable to eat a lot. High meat diets work in Colder climates, cannot fathom living in India and going on a high meat diet 😅
Yet another thing that some 'english speaking' indians will only listen if a white man approves. Hope this lady appreciates the wisdom of her parents. But then she was fat as a girl so can understand her aversion to her upbringing and culture.
I m a ayurveda doctor and she is right there different types of meats for different types of diseases . I don't know why people think ayurveda is only for vegetarians. No healthcare can be completed single sides either carnivores or herbivores. Enjoyed watching it.
01:01:00 India’s answer to health: pseudo science, hyper nationalism, lack of scientific temperament and simply no interest in reading (or watching serious academic discussions on health). Results are there for everyone to see…
I want to say a big THANK YOU to Vinamra and Sangeetha for speaking out athe truth, now days nobody's doing that. You might face backlash some people. I want to let you know that you're doing a great work. Keep it up!
Mam, I am a health enthusiast and a dietician, I am so thankful for your both podcasts. You definitely give the viewers some food for thought and a few solutions too. This podcast widened the perspective of Low carb eating and other political topics too. Thanks to DC Team and you mam.
I actually am 98% carnivore and workout 4 days with weights and 2 days cardio. Yes my lifting weights did drop in the early stages but over time it got back to normal. Once your fat adapted it become easier.

I've been doing my graduation in Nutrition and Dietetics... And I must say, the general public doesn't give a shit about their diet!!! But everyone will ask for a diet plan for free already... Like I haven't even completed my graduation!!! I shake it off by saying I'm yet to learn about this and avoid them...
Yes ..true that...and you can't even tell those guys that ' I'll help you with a meal plan, but I'll charge you for that' ...specially when the person is a relative or a family friend.
My Stomach issues were so bad, before I went carnivore, that when I healed with carnivore, now I know that I don’t respond well to plants. I become very sick.
All this is due to intestinal absorption and digestion, most of the non vegetarians have gut issue so they do not absorb many nutrients properly. Deficiency of b12 only in vegetarians is a myth
The discussion re B12 is about vegetarians not non vegetarians. Alcoholics have B12 deficiency as non veg or medicines they take like metformin. But , they were talking about vegetarians who do not take supplements and do not have enough protein in their diet.
Virat Kohli was a heavy meat eater....Then he faced with severe mood issues ,anger , depression...His performance dropped so sharp ... NOW he is a vegan and promotes vegan restaurants..He says that his mood has never been so good ,his performance improved..We see he is more friendly and calm now. How does that go ?
Just a question. How to decide the amount of protein to be taken? I mean people nowadays are taking so much protein without doing much of physical work. Highprotein diets could destroy kidneys, too.
Your body has a powerful protein appetite and that is the cause of cravings and overconsumption of carbs & ultra-processed food. Your body will want to eat until you get enough protein! Your body also has a powerful mechanism that tells you when it has gotten enough protein and nutrition. Which is why you can't eat meat/eggs beyond a certain amount. The amount of protein is decided by these bodily signals. If you have enough protein, you'll automatically feel satiated and will have less cravings for savoury snacks throughout the day. If you are eating too much, your body will automatically make sure you can't. Unless you are stuffing a ridiculously high amount of protein 200 gm+ (which you are welcome to try if you are able), one need not worry about kidneys. Numerically, 70-100 gm is optimum. More would be better if trying to gain muscle.
I like this podcast a lot . But As a permaculturist I observed she’s still yet taking telescopic approach to problem solving . It’s going to work much better than vegan approach. She looks to me a good experiential learner . Hopefully as she matures n do more research on farming, forestry, species, sense organs etc. She might suggest more holistic n sustainable solutions
I agree most of the things she said but not everyone wants to be a mother you know so it's okay not to have children and being a mother is not self care
I am from Pakistan and i transitioned into vegetarian ( by choice ,as eating halal meat is not a problem here or in my family) I already know that protien will be the biggest struggle for me but i consciously plan my meal and learned lots of recipie mostly indian ,I dont have any regrets . But i pledged i will not kill any animal for the sake of my protien!!!!
Her words, "Everytime media and influencers start promoting something, it hasn't turned put well" is true even for protein requirements and the announcements that vegetarians and Indians are at a disadvantage. India doesn't have a protein problem, it has a problem of malnourishment at one end, gluttony at the other end and the two ends having long thick tails, leaving a very small people in the middle.
Diet is personal also right?. Like probably some people do better on plant based and maybe some people do better with carnivore. We need personalized tests to find out the most suitable
I believe in low carb but I am an emissions expert as well. I am not going to promote red meat. As far as I agree to low carb but no way, the emissions from the farms are too much today agriculture and farms are producing CH4 are one of the major contributors to the emissions. Which is even more dangerous if we start promoting beef then it will be similar what happened in US and Brazil the whole demographic structure will be imbalanced once business come into play, they will start cutting down forests inorder to graze and the amount of fresh water required would be huge.
I agree with you on this, factory farming and rearing is bad and so is industrial agriculture that kills the entire ecosystem. But I also have been researching holistic grazing and farming and I believe this can offset the amount of emissions and also restore the ecology. Holistic grazing is the most humane and also ecologically sound and can also help trap the carbon back to the soil.
The preponderance of evidence says vegan diet confers best health and longevity. Vegetarian Indians do not have measurably worse health than meat eaters. Meat eating Muslims have just as much diabetes as vegetarian Hindus.
High insulin levels makes us fat and carb heavy diets spike insulin because insulin packs glucose from carbs as fat: subcutaneous, visceral, liver whether vegetarian or not. Vegetarian does not mean carbetarian .
Thank you Ma'am for your inputs I started a High protein diet from your last podcast here I was really happy to see you again on the podcast Thank you Dostcast team for your podcast
In India, even the dogs are carbivores lol. Seen so many ppl feeding their dogs rice and pappu, rice and milk, biscuits, (yes some bones here and there), but mostly carbs.
i have this bengali friend who only eats rice and a lots of it and anything on the side but mostly chicken or mutton and is lean as fuck but has constant gut issues
I don't know i am fortunate or unfortunate , i am 22 years old man , i never get fat what ever i eat , i found i have high metabolism , i don't need to take care about getting fat , i am 5.10 feet , and my weight is just 62 , waist about 30 incrs since last 9 years no changes , i am been wearing same clothes which i bought when i was 17 ,18 years of age , they still fit me perfectly . Is it a good thing to have ?
I’m a vegetarian. But to increase my protein intake, I’ve started to eat eggs. But eggs, for me, taste DISGUSTING. I’ve somehow got habituated to the boiled egg whites and eat 4 boiled egg whites a day. But I can’t even smell the yolk of the boiled egg. I’ve tried omelettes, but still the smell and taste of the yolk makes me gag. I’ve tried fried eggs too, but unless I virtually deep fry them in butter, I can’t consume them without gagging. So couple some please tell me how can I eat the yolks too.🥲 The entire micronutrient content of the egg is packed in the yolk.
I didn’t like her for belittling her father for attending a Shakha( her tone was messed up ) Hindus have this problem of trying to somehow appear cool by distancing them from their roots
Absorption of b12 also depends on gut health and most of the regular non vegetarians have gut issue. So they do not absorb b12 properly. And also the theory of b12 only in non veg food is a myth. Fermented food also contains b12.
Seems like she is getting heavily paid by meat industry or has invested in same. I am building muscles and losing fat with veg food and 50% carbs in the day. Moreover living very healthy and energetic life. Don't fall in her trap.
I'm not dietitian.... but today I'm sure that what I'm eating is the best path of eat... and it's my research...... I'm very happy now.... And thhhhaaannkkksss a lot both of you❤
