Indonesia is republic country which independence from Netherland with struggle war, the Malaysia is kingdom country which independence from British with negotiation. I think you made mistake at 7:36. Indeed, Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) was 100% support Sukarno. Yet, The Military Generals thought that the war against Malaysia is not necessary. Just left Malaysia as the way they were. This is the reason why PKI kidnapped and killed those Generals. PKI never had intention to make a coup against Sukarno.
