I remeber taking this like 17 years ago and scoring a 4 lol. Just before we took the exam they changed the format. That's too bad coz I was expecting a 5. Things must be way more different now. It was the same with AP Computer Science, they change from C++ to Java but we didnt have any Java practise books but had C++ books.
@@d_mudg8151 It’s a rigorous course, but it’s definitely doable. I’m taking it this year and I just finished this marking period with a 92% average (Which is basically an “A”) . It’s a class based on lots of reading and explanations. The one thing I understood that no other students did is you MUST MUST MUST - UNDERSTAND everything you read. Don’t just read without taking in information, you need to u detest and what you’re reading. The hardest part of the class is probably the Chemistry Area, but I’ve had no previous chemistry knowledge which is why I didn’t do too well at the time. The textbook is your best friend, it taught me more than the teacher did this year 😂
@@gabysalvador9334 We we’re given the textbooks by the teacher. It’s is called “ AP Edition CAMPBELL BIOLOGY 9th edition” (green textbook). I do believe that the new edition will be utilized next year though, depending on whether or not your teacher uses this branch.
Quick question I'm an incoming junior and have the option of either taking ap bio or CP physics which do you believe would be a better option in terms of getting a better grade?
I have just started my Ap Biology course. I am almost done with unit 1. What are the main things I should focus on/ tips that will help me pass the exam? I feel like im cooked already even though im done well, but knowing this is hard AP class is scaring me nonetheless 😅😭😭
I should have taken Biology H 1st semester last year and Chemistry H 2nd semester last year instead of taking Bio H 2 years before now. It’s like a language that chemistry only helps if you have bio at the same time.
Currently in this class. Exam is thursday the 16th of May. So next week. I feel so cooked, on my mcq practices I've gotten 3 31's and 1 28. And my frq I got a failing score only because of how bad my graphing is
oh shoot bro. I am also taking it dis year and i am self studying it. I got a 54/60 on mcq and a pretty bad score on frq. but in the end i got a very high 4. one point away from a 5 but i aiming for 5. we''l see how it goes
If I were you I would take AP biology either your junior or senior year! Try to take biology first and then chem in your sophomore year! AP bio is a very high level and very in depth! That is just my advice❤️
ive been offered to take ap es or ap biology. i am not even in hs im still an 8th grader but id like to ask if i should take ap es or ap bio? im interested in taking ap bio. but i heard its extremely difficult. id like to take the challenge but im afraid ill fail. for ap es, i heard its easy. so can u please tell me what to expect in ap bio and ap es?
apes has much more of an environmental content + real life implications. If i were u, i would take ap bio junior year, and apes senior year. Apes is 10x easier if youve taken ap bio
Don't worry about AP classes for freshman year. Just take regular courses and a few honors classes in subjects you want to academically challenge yourself with. If you wanna take those APs, take them one at a time in both Junior and Senior years as the previous reply says. Good luck!
