…at this point it’s sabotage. There is absolutely NO reason their marketing is cheap, promo is non existent and 3 years later their is still a lack of creative direction for their solo brands.

1. It is understandable why people blame Beyonce. When careers go sideways, the record labels are usually at fault. There is a whole RCA curse rhetoric going around. Tinashe, Normani, Zayne Malik. 2. You are right about the failure to brand, market and promote their artists. Since Beyonce is struggling in the business lane with the same criticisms levied against, it makes sense to say that the aspects of branding, marketing and promotion are Beyonce's weak spots. 3. Given the fact that Beyonce is still an active artist, she cannot be 100% physically around when she has her own career to steer. When Jay Z signed Rihanna and J Cole, he had fully embraced his role as President of Def Jam. Full on music executive. Beyonce should start considering that route.

Chloe got a Pepsi deal, press tours for her album and has 100% creative freedom. She’s doing just fine, the music just isn’t connecting. When Jay signed Rihanna, despite having a global smash hit Pon De Replay he almost dropped her when second single didn’t do as well. She only got a second chance bc her team fought tooth and nails for her. Beyoncé isn’t dropping her or putting pressure on her to do well commercially that we know of at least. All she has to do is focus on the music which should be every artist dream!

Beyoncé doesn’t have a great track record of growing artists, on top of that, they’re immensely talented, so atp…it looks like she signed them to stagnate them 😬

Ungodly Hour may not have gone number one on the charts, but it went number one in my heart 😭 I'm not sure what's not clicking with the general public and their music, but maybe they're destined to be more "your favourite artist's favourite artists" like Solange Knowles rather than the next Beyonce.

Chole and Halle are not good song pickers. They reason why Rihanna was successful was because she picked all her hit songs. She knows what a hit song sounds like. She begged The Dream for the umbrella song, and the rest was history. Maybe Chole needs to work with The Dream?

If Jay z was managing them it’d be a different story. People with far less talent have Grammys and the difference is marketing a promotion.

there’s something about them that feels incredibly generic. let me be honest: i genuinely think real art comes from a place of pain, trauma, or struggle. even if you make fun, entertaining music like megan or glorilla. these girls have faced REAL, gutting struggle in their lives so when they get in that booth, they get IN that mf booth. I get the feeling that aside from drama with boys, these girls have never faced any real struggle at all. And i’m not talking about financial, I just mean real life ish. They seem to have been upper middle class (bc two girls who grew up poor would have a LOT to say. trust) who were great singers and then got a record deal. Even looking at someone like SZA. she used to be dancer, she struggled with feelings of low self worth and intensely manipulative relationship. She grew up feeling like the ugly girl. She’s now had a bunch of surgeries, which also contributes to how she feels and sees the world bc she feels viscerally the difference in how she’s treated and received and perceived. tyla, grew up in south africa, rich with culture. imo chloe bailey needs to take 2 years off, and go live in the world as a normal girl. instead of trying to keep chasing the next hit off of superficial music and shallow emotional experiences.

the problem is they let these girls do their own music but they have no record of writing hits, they need to lock these girls in a room with producers and writers who have a record of writing hits

it’s not only bey’s fault, but she is partial to the problem, columbia (idk how to spell the name of that record label) has been known to market their artist horribly, but it’s also partially parkwoods’s fault as well, beyoncé doesn’t have to give the girls a feature or anything of that nature, but PROMOTING them is what she’s supposed to do, as their mentor and the person who signed them, like how wayne did with nicki, drake, and tyga, and how jayz did with beyoncé and rihanna, the people who know of chloe and halle’s existence love their music, they’re just not known widely enough for their music to do well, which is why promoting and marketing your artist is so important, the girls careers doesn’t have to rely on bey only, but as the head of parkwood its her job to help her artist, she doesn’t have to attach her name to them, she just has to promote them, she has enough connections and money to do so, she just chooses not to is what it seems like.

Jay-Z did the same thing to these R&B artists named Christion that he had on his label back in the day. He only jumped on a couple of tracks and then pretty much ignored them after that. They were very talented too. Maybe she got that concept from him.

first of all stop saying what Beyoncé wants. Who signed the girls? who's supposed to be promoting them? Beyonce collabs with who she wants NOBODY turning that down. Chloe said Beyoncé helped her with body do and thats it unless I'm mistaken. If Beyoncé wanted something done for them it would be done.

An artist is an artist, an executive is an executive. Wearing either hat needs a particular focus and skill level You can push your own career wearing both hats because that's how you build your brand, but you can't wear both hats whilst pushing another artist because that's their brand (this is why Jay and Wayne took back seats for a while, to focus on the business of building an artist) Those girls need someone who is invested in building artists as a business, not someone who is a mainstream artist building a business with other artists

I agree with you for the most part about beyoncé, but when I look at what's being done for Megan thee stallion I know she could do more for Chloe.

People were saying that Diddy signing Cassie to a 10-album deal was a slave deal, which it was. This is also a VERY unfair deal, ESPECIALLY bc they’re a duo. Sure, in the beginning, they were young and living together under one roof. That money is gone now. Very far gone. Beyonce HERSELF has released only 8 solo albums at this point in her career! So, yea… that’s a horrible deal.

For the talent they both have, their voices are something special and precious, they shouldn't low-grade themselves like Chloe did in the "mercy" mv. They're much more. I prefer her in the song with future, for example. Haley is softer, i find that she has her path more balanced, like she found herself and how to portray herself. While Chloe struggles with that and ends up doing things that are cheap compared to the beautiful gift of a voice she has. I do find it suspicious that they aren't in the spotlight that much (compared to other artists) but it also depends on the perception thr audience maybe have: maybe people are tired to see hyper sexualised women downplaying their true talent to meteorite type of songs that last three seconds. It's a waste. This is my personal opinion, tho.

Halle should definitely be way bigger than what she is. She did do good on a few of her singles on the billboards, but she does not get the recognition that she deserves. She should’ve at least had Grammy by now. I don’t even think they gave her a BET award. SMH

Maybe after years and years of work…from a child to destiny’s child, heartaches of losing group members and trying to find another girl (Michelle)..Beyoncé not gonna sit back and let some protégés just come in and take her spot. If you’re gonna be a protégé your have to follow that artists footsteps..which means your name not being brought down from ex girls friends, having babies no no goods, tampons popping out at your concerts, showing excessive amounts of skin, wild sex scenes, etc. I don’t remember Beyoncé doing all of that.

I think Beyonce being an active performer is hurting chloexhalle. All of the good songs coming to columbia are going to Beyonce who no longer does videos or promote her own music. Imagine if Beyonce wasn't active and she gave chloe " cuff it, heated, move, 2 hands to heaven". Those songs would've been bigger hits by a younger artist willing to do videos and perform. I love Beyonce's last 2 albums. But if she passed those songs to Chloe or Halle, they would chart.
