On Mormonism, it is seen as non-Christian by most theologians due to the fact that they do not believe in the standardization of the holy trinity. They believe in an imbalance that the Father (God) is greater than the Son (Jesus). In basic it’s like Christianity but technically not. You have idols in their faith, that being of the true prophets are the original founder, Joesph Smith, and his successors, are prophets of God and there is no true church but the LDS (Latter Day Saints). This is very non Christian in theology because Christians believe in the sola scriptura, only teachings of the scripture and the Holy Spirit and that the fact that the word of solely one prophet be true makes that non-Christian. Another view on idols is they believe themselves as spirits descended from God being parts of God themselves, not having the teachings and guidance of Holy Spirit. All the extra scriptures that are added to their canon of the Bible is very different as well and the one that really sets it apart is there is one line of scripture I can’t remember that in just states that the teachings and words of the Bible are only true if properly translated meaning the actual scripture itself is up for interpretation not just its meaning and lessons. Oh and God has a wife. Oh and you have to join in discipleship if you wish for salvation, not just faith alone in your faith is salvation enough. Not all LDS churches or practitioners are polygamous. They also used to call other forms of the faith gentiles. You really can’t call them Christian or Roman Catholic because they don’t fit in with either. Hope this helps anyone curious about the key differences and maybe NL will read it and learn a little about it, their differences in faith is quite interesting

Isn't that a US only thing? Serious question I was raised catholic and only knew of one other branch before I learned about mormons from watching book of mormon on broadway
@@ScoffMathews isn't what a US thing? First of all, NL and myself both aren't American, and all the sects mentioned are definitely outside the US. Also, most wouldn't call Mormons Christians at all
