In view of the recent incidents of food delivery mishaps where a dead mouse was discovered in Hershey's chocolate syrup and a snake was found in an online Amazon delivery box, Arnab slams quick commerce websites and asked about the safety and rights of the consumers.

I have seen rats running around food stalls inside Chatrapati shivaji international airport at night times, as well as pigeons flying. It is so unhygienic. I want to see my Bharat clean! There is just no accountability by management or their staff.

Can we request Amazon to issue a certificate with the package that they are delivering to the customer that they are only delivering what has been asked for the customer and not other accessories such as snakes, centipedes, insects, rats etc.

Amazon is becoming a loose cannon and very frustrating to deal with. I end up hitting my head for even calling customer care. 1st point - Must verify if consumers are not doing it themselves for harming companies. 2nd point - All the edible products have labels on it how to store, at what temperatures etc..but the fact is many products are stored not accordingly by local grocery & mall sellers. So finding fungus, worms is normal as sellers are not storing properly. 3rd point - Indian government mus strictly appoint food inspectors who visit and check the hygiene of manufacturing units, as well as the sellers at end who finally sell it to consumers. In India, we have frequent power failures, grocery sellers store chocolates, bakery products such as bread & buns etc in direct sunlight at there shelves. So it is oblivious the product gets spoiled. 4th point - On Swiggy, Zomato or other online food providing services, any one can start a cloud kitchen even from home. Who knows and verifies about hygiene? Nowadays a street vendor also sells on swiggy and zomato.

Amazon packaging is so bad that not sure if the stuff being delivered in a genuine item or has been replaced with fake item by the time it reaches to the customer. It is better to by directly from a store than from amazon.

found a packet of chewable tobacco in a thums up bottle i got last month. I compained to Swiggy and coke. got very little in terms of solution. complained in NCH, complained got closed with no furhter resolution. Coke has not even replied to a tweet of mine. Consumers are taken for a ride in India.
