I am actually considering starting to configure myself to do just that, in London it's the third day, not sunny,, but not raining with raging winds since November 2023. And I am saying November because I was in Italy until then. 🤣
Depends, here in Larnaca it went up to 44 degrees Celsius and 37 - 39 seemed more the norm for certain time periods. I think it is still no big problem though, since there is often a nice wind, that makes it very bearable. And it is generally not a good idea to go outside between morning and evening during the peak hot months, with an UV index of 11 -12. At least if you are young and no fan of rapid skin aging, or old and have cardio vascular issues. The mornings and evenings are perfect, though. So you can just do nice things and schedule your work for the mid of the day when you are inside.
The cypriot way of life is fast fading because of these type of immigrants. Why on earth is a gated community required. It's only a decade ago that doors were left open.
Things are changing. Cyprus is getting bigger and more crowded, and there are problems with the neighbours. Of course, it will never be the same again, and this also impacts security. But it is still a lovely and pretty safe place compared to many other places in the world and Europe.
Lived in Peyia from 1999-2010 came back to the UK because the whole nature of Cyprus living change when they joined the EU. Then the Euro was introduced and prices started to rise and quality started to fall. Have visited since 2010 on many occasions and my opinion has not changed.
Stay in the UK then.Have you seen the state of the UK,today?I left the UK 23 years ago and have not regretted it for a moment. My choice was Larnaca Which is taking off now.Have a beautiful home near the beach and it's very central. My wish and hope is that there is a peace settlement on the island. If that happens Cyprus will be an absolute paradise.
Great presentation and right questions to ask which they are common question for everyone . Excellent .how about Canadian? I’m Canadian and love to retire somewhere close to turkey ad Greece .
I bought in Ayia Napa in 1991 and loved living there. I sold and moved out because of government corruption. It has got to a point where I expect Vladimir Putin to move in soon as he controls the government and will avoid extradiition to anywhere.
30 years ago I would have agreed with you, but today NO. Sadly the Island has been bought by the Russians. Today I rate Malta a better option. Both countries have similar climates, both have English widely spoken and both are EU members. Living costs are similar as well. But for me the Russian influence is the decider.
Cyprus os a sage heaven for Syrian, afhanistani, and African refugees. They provide Medi-Cal insurance, housing and money for the refugges, more than 100000 and is growing. Arabic food and Halal markets fpr the Muslims evdywhere
@@sanderrecommends My choice is far away from the European Union countries because when the digital Euro currency will soon kick in for good European countries will be hell on earth.
@@MENSA.lady2 if you go on vinter time it's totally dead and also no people walking around as big countries and you are dependent for a vehicle to move around no trains and buses don't go everywhere.
