Exactly! These people seem to be missing the point. This problem is being caused largely by the modern way of life. Further, so many people are eating junk food.
Fully agree. I am not a doctor but i understood from Scientists like Prof. R. lLstig that the root of diabetes together with other health isues is the methabolic syndron. Processed food, excess sugar and lack fo fibers. I just read in a German newspaper that 70% of the food consumed in the US is fast food. Luckily the % is much less in Europe. That's the starting point to tackle diabetes.
I'm interested why no one talks about added oils and fried foods that cause diabetes. Fat with sugar causes high blood sugar, not either alone. Huge mistake to just blame sugar. It's because cheap industrial food quality overall has been going down for decades, poor soils, less nutrients in food. If you eat a lot of natural fruits and veggies, you're very likely to heal most diabetes
Few people recognize that western diet is the major force behind this pandemic of diabetes. Read: added sugar, vegetable oil, artifical sweetener, grain-based food...
Reversing my pre-diabetes was easy: I changed my high carb often vegetarian diet for HIGH FATTY MEAT and fish. Cured! And I feel better than I have for 30 years. And why don't doctors check fasting insulin blood levels ... that would've picked up the problem many years BEFORE my blood glucose went up. The National Health Service will do triglycerides, CRP, A1c, fasting glucose etc. but NOT fasting insulin (as a routine check).
@@Rodrigo-tk2fm fewer will have what it takes because since birth we were taught wrong. By time we realize the truth, it becomes a Herculean effort to shift gears.
Promoting a Whole Food, Plant Base diet, reducing or eliminating high Animal Protein, and Processed foods from the diets would reduce diabetes throughout the world. It would also help our Planet. 24:58
@@nusaibahibraheem8183 Only if the disease is badly managed from the start. Type-1 diabetics need insulin, of course; but type-2 diabetics do not, unless their disease has been allowed to get out of control.
"Why is diabetes spreading around the world?" There is a simple, but controversial answer to this important question. But it is too controversial for me to write here. Let me just say that the key to the problem lies in modern living - the modern lifestyle. When I was growing up, both obesity and type-2 diabetes (then known as 'late-onset diabetes') was relatively rare. Even as a child in school, in a class of thirty children, there would only ever be about one or maybe two fat kids in the class. It was unheard of for young kids to have type-2 diabetes. But at that time, almost all kids in the UK had mothers at home preparing meals for the family from scratch. That was the same for kids from rich and poor homes. People think that modern living is an improvement on the way of life of the past. But is it really? People are certainly not healthier. And back in the day, nobody ate junk food. On the contrary, we ate meats, poultry, fish, dairy, eggs, lots of fresh vegetables and some fruits. Snacking was frowned upon.
I literally made a route inside my home and walk that route with the TV on. Rain or shine, it doesn't matter, I walk that route everyday. It takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes to do the 10k. If I don't have time to do it all at once, I break up the walk into 2 to 3 k segments throughout the day.
Update to my original post. It is now 13 months of walking a minimum of 10k steps a day. I hope it inspires anyone who reads it to go out there and do it.
Less food intake = less Insulin production = less insulin resistance. Less physical activity = obesity Less processed food & more unprocessed food = healthier lifestyle
Did You Know That I Had A Bleed For 1 Year After Fukushima And That It Stopped And Then 9 Years Later Now Have Type 2 Diabetes? I Told The Truth, Sometimes Things Are More Then Coincidental.
"Structural racism" and "geographic inequality" in type 2 diabetes? What a load of horseshit! Simply put, diabetes does not discriminate and doesn't care what your socio-economic status is. I'm a Black American diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and what has allowed me to reduce my daily blood sugar and A1C levels to the normal range was a healthy dose of nutritional education and not stuffing so much sugary junk in my pie hole. If you have to walk a little further, get a ride or catch a bus to get quality foods and vegetables and not junk - you do it. There are no excuses!
Will this whole video be about type 2? I have been a type 1 since the 70s. Are we ignored as usual in this video or can someone let me know how many minutes into the video we are discussed?
Well if its diabetes type 1 then is not your fault. But you can evade getting diabetes type 2 and lots of people get it because they allow it to happen, consciously or not. Is all about epigenetics too and envirorment is a very relatable factor that decides which genes are express and which ones are not.
@@Ausgar-yc1ylexactly! My support group have people from all backgrounds. Some had adopted a bad lifestyle, others had a moderately good lifestyle like most , and then some were fit and healthy and still got type 2 diabetes. It’s not just a “ fat person who can’t stop eating” disease, it is a complex metabolic issue.
I am a type 2 diabetic and control it via diet successfully with a blood sugar range from 101 to 115. However, I recently added onions to my daily diet for taste. After 2 weeks of doing this, my blood sugar is now in the 80s to mid 90s. I have made no other changes to my diet. I am wondering if anyone else has knowledge with regard to onions and diabetes?
Type 2 diabetes is curable. It's reversible. Just eat healthy foods, excercise every after meal (walk for about 10-15 mins). Then in the morning, excercise without food in your stomach for atleast 30 mins (make sure you're sweating). Stop sugar and limit carbs. Do this for 2 weeks or for 1 month straight. You'll be surprise that your doctor will remove all your maintenance specially your mets. Your cholesterol, tryglicerides, LDL and hba1c will be normal again. Trust me. It's curable and reversible.❤
You can eat anything if you exercise regularly, include some protein, fat or fiber before a carb meal and walking after meal..you will never have a problem!!!
The real question to ask is what is the World Health Organization doing for diabetics if there is a global power outage caused by war or the sun. If multiple countries lose power for a few days millions of diabetics will die.

1. Ultra-processed food is the main driver of this disaster, and Big Food is responsible. Governments are doing little or nothing to regulate its nefarious activities, which are costing these governments hugely in health care. Why? 2. It's pretty hypocritical of someone in Qatar to talk about structural racism when Qatar is responsible for the deaths of so many migrant workers: "More than 6,500 migrant workers from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have died in Qatar since it won the right to host the World Cup 10 years ago, the Guardian can reveal. The findings, compiled from government sources, mean an average of 12 migrant workers from these five south Asian nations have died each week since the night in December 2010 when the streets of Doha were filled with ecstatic crowds celebrating Qatar’s victory."
Fix home cooked meals with foods as grown in nature. Stop eating fast trash foods. Beans and rice are not expensive, nor are potatoes. Focus on health. Plain food at home.
HA HA! Type 1 diabetes will not go away. I don't believe LADA will either. Gestational diabetes probably won't go away either. You have no idea what you are talking about. Type 1 is an auto immune disease where the body decides to attack the insulin producing cells. It has nothing to do with how much sugar or how little sugar one eats. It has to be in both sides of the family. I became a type 1 as a small child and I had a health provider who was born as a type 1.
Diabetes is a form of autoimmune diseases. A malfunctioning immune system cause damage to the pancreas. this happens because of chronic deficiency of vitamin D3. Indoor way of life and poor diet and lack of physical activity are the main culprit.
The adoption of a Whole Food Plant Based diet is what’s needed, eliminating Animal and Processed Foods would do a lot toward solving the Diabetes Crisis. Prevention should be stressed first.
I appreciate how this video discusses lifestyle changes alongside medical treatments for diabetes. Planet Ayurveda's Ayurvedic remedies seem like a perfect complement to this approach.
The trouble with “follow the science” is that much of science follows money - and AI in the hans of these practitioners will continue this obfuscation.
Follow a starch and sugar based diet then go all surprised pikachu when you get diabetes. I forecast a huge wave of diabetes in Asia because as I write, in Japan there's actually a ton of "skinny diabetes" and if you go to Asian markets, you know they have *all. the. snacks.*
A lot of diabetics who have had gastric surgery have eliminated diabetes. The problem in New Zealand is not so much the funding it’s there’s not enough surgeons to carry out the work and if you go private then your looking at over $30,000 nz currency. Hence reason why people are going to turkey,India,Mexico and Thailand for operation.
Do not allow people use public aid money to buy Coke with sugar or processed foods. Should just be used to buy fresh fruits and vegatables, meat and meat alternatives.

I did not buy into the safe/effective plan and remain as before /no issues and highly athletic.not enough is being said on other possible causes for this diabetes issue.its easy to paint the.... your too fat ...analogy to this and good diet is a needed deterrent along with some physical activities. its most likely a problem with numerous sources depending on the persons genetics/biology/lifestyle as it has been for a long time but now there appears to be a catalyst that is fuelling. the growing diabetes epidemic..................just stick the needle in🥸...................screenshot
There are lot of things that have impact on healt:not accessible medicine,lazieness/not much going out, not healty food and stress. --Medicine should be accessible to everyone as free or very cheap, free check ups by doctors too. There should be more doctors who will work as volunteers or paid by gov. --There should be less or no sugar and fat in more products, mostly bread and sweets. That should be regulated by gov.People should consume more fresh or sour salats, yogurts with low fat and lemon/lime juices with food that's heavy, fat or too sweet or after that. --There should be more meetings of people of similar ages or scout programs for children. That's how you lock people out. There should be more accessible places outside with free simple work out machines. --To prevent stress by people it should be given fair oportunity for everything including jobs.On tv or internet there should be more bad examples of life not only perfect ones, more about healty food and diseases, more about good things of life.
