That’s incorrect, the bluey website confirms this: “ Bluey and Bingo sometimes affectionately call her “Aunt Frisky”.” www.bluey.tv/characters/frisky/ This essentially describes that they call her aunt frisky without her being an aunt, and it’s more of a loving title than anything. Also it’s confirmed by the creators that they haven’t been married yet
If any character would be pregnant with a baby boy, it would be Aunt Frisky. Her and Rad said they wanted to have kids, and Rad is the only Heeler brother who isn't a dad yet.
I agree. It would also kind of be funny to have Rad be the only one with a son, as opposed to daughters, cause boys are an different parenting experience from girls, and Stripe and Bandit would only be able to be SO helpful on giving Rad advice.

@@battybuddy parenting boys and girls as infants-teens are no different. the only difference comes when discussing pubery, and thats literally it. like if a baby boy cries or a baby girl cries, youre going to do the same things. feed them, change them, give them a cuddle. same with toddlers and kids. kids dont think about gender or gender roles naturally, theyre curious and like to experience so many differnet things. its parents basically forcing roles on them that makes them think they need to be differnet bc of how they were born. i think this whole raising boys and girls different thing is old and dumb. why should we put our kids into boxes from birth just bc of whats between their legs? let your girls play woth cars and trucks, leaarn how to maintain a car and do house repairs. let your boys play with dolls and learn to cook and clean and keep their spaces tidy. they're skills humans need to know, and are not specific to what gender you are
@@mycobacteriem2540 I think that it would be really interesting to see the show tackle this exact issue. That you don't have to parent them so differently. Maybe the boy will feel left out because all their cousins are girls, and Rad feels like he should parent his kid differently. By the end they learn they're not so different and it's just what people expect from them. Something centered around that topic would be such an interesting episode imo
there was also a point in this very video where we see _bandit_ lying down and having that same stomach shape, and i have a feeling he was not pregnant either lol
Animator here! About the round belly: it's not uncommon to update the rig/style as the seasons go on. Season 1 rigs tend to be rudimentary because you're still building the pose library. I have no doubt they saw the square belly in earlier episodes and decided it wasn't very appealing in terms of style, so they built a round belly for the characters when they lie down. I would love the idea that the Heelers get a new baby. I can see that tackling so many issues like jealousy over a new baby, learning to help the parents during a tough time, etc. but I just don't see it happening. That being said, as others have pointed out, Rad and Frisky or even Brandy adopting could still tackle those issues by bringing a new cousin in. I can see that happening more than Bandit and Chili having another baby.
I really wish Brandy adopts a child. She deserves to be happy and have what she wishes so much. I may like Rad and Frisky but I wanna see more of Brandy
Adoption is extremely uncommon in Australia because of its ties to genocides so recent that survivors are still alive today. Most foster kids end up reuniting with parents or whatever family is left so that wouldn't be an option either. On the flip side of that, a lot of infertile adults have expressed frustration and exhaustion with the advice to "adopt or foster kids if you want one so bad" because it dismisses their feelings towards their inability to go through with the process of having a baby. It doesn't help that nearly every depiction of infertile people, especially women, ends up adopting or fostering when that's not always what the person wants to do. It's not just the matter of taking care of a child, it's the feeling of having one and raising them to adulthood, becoming both a mirror of yourself and who you could've been. Adopting is probably not a route Brandy's real life equivalent could take, so the character herself can't either. Not to mention showing it on TV is a huge no-go. And fostering wouldn't be ideal for her because reunification is always the goal and having to constantly let kids go back to their families would hurt more than the loneliness Brandy feels now. I'm not sure about surrogacy in Australia. Personally, I think Brandy can find happiness with the hand she's been dealt and maybe just being a fun aunt for all the girls to grow up with. After all, the main takeaway from the episode (what Chili tells Bluey when she asks why Brandy can't have what she wants) "It's just not meant to be,"
It really doesn't make an sense for Chili to be pregnant, especially after the situtation with Perfect and Bedrooms, but also because they really don't need a baby in the family. There's nothing it would add to the family that it can't do already.
We went through this personally in our family. For some couples it can take years before having /adding an extra child is no longer on the table because they both realise they don't need or want to add an extra child. It's not always an absolute. Watching them with getting rid of the cot is the start of it.
As someone who gained a new brother when I was around 10, I can say that it adds A LOT. It changed my whole family dynamic, and it made me as the eldest have to gain more responsibility, being so far apart in age. I can see so many lessons Bluey and BIngo will have, especially the shift from youngest to middle child. Having to go from being a kid to having to help look after your sibling is such an interesting feeling, and I would love for this show to tackle some of the issues and struggles that come with such a huge change.
it would be interesting to see how they would deal with a "whoops baby" or adoption maybe moving on from loss of a parent but in healthy ways and what is to be expected not in bluey's but another family maybe
The whole adoption theory is brought up way too many times in the FB Bluey groups I'm in. As an adoptee it would be nice to see some representation but it would have to be more accurate representation than "oh this kid is adopted". We have our own struggles and issues that aren't shown on screen most of the time when a character is adopted. Also leave Brandi alone when it comes to those theories too. She's perfect the way she is. Many women who struggle with infertility have come forward and said that adoption is not a fix-all for fertility issues.
I agree with you, I think having brandy being a catalyst for infertility and not having any kids ever even in the sense of adoption would mean a lot to the individuals who have infertility and don’t have the option to adoption since it’s a very difficult process and not always possible for everyone I remember when I made my infertility video for brandy I mentioned how adoption isn’t a solution to infertility like everyone thinks. I appreciate your perspective and insight buddy 😁
true but its stated that she WANTS kids. she could even get a surrogate, depending on if she has a husband (i don't think she does as she shows up to visit the heelers alone, and a lot of times fertility issues can cause big rifts between couples, so its possible she unfortunately lost her husband/spouse due to these issues.) i think single women can still have biological surrogate children if their DNA is added, but sometimes surrogates can be MORE expensive than adoption. she does have options, though not a ton. it would also be sweet if she became a foster mom, fostering kids until they can get adopted
@@grayprince7 wow....just wow that's a lot to unpack there. As much as I would love to see Brandi get her happy ending it might not go that way. The way the episode is set up when she comes to visit is to say that she has tried a lot of things and they didn't work. For whatever reason she's not going to have a child and there is nothing she can do about it. The lesson is that sometimes there are things that we want but we can't have and while it may hurt emotionally there is a point where it is okay to say "that it isn't going to happen and that is okay". Also it seems you just skimmed over the whole point of my comment in the first paragraph where I say "as an adoptee (someone who has been adopted) representation would be nice but it would also be nice if it were a more accurate representation that we as adoptees go through" (paraphrasing here). Fostering to adopt is still adoption. And being an adopted by a couple who had fertility issues ADOPTION IS NOT A FIX-ALL FOR INFERTILITY. (Not saying I wasn't loved because I was, just it shouldn't be the thing shoved on people who want to become parents). Another interesting point on adoption in Australia that I have learned is that it is extremely hard to adopt in Australia. It's not very common. While foster care is more common, they still try to reunite with some form of kin.

Adoption is an extremely complicated process, it’s not like going to the pet store and picking out a fish. There are TONS of roadblocks, and it can just randomly fall through and they don’t even always tell you why. Even if you foster to adopt sometimes they’ll just suddenly remove the kid and place them with someone else, again, without even telling you why.
People seem to think its easy to get attached and form good relationships with a child that isn't yours. Its not at all, Its walking on eggshells. Same for being a stepparent, if they're really young its much easier, but if they're over 6 they might take longer, they start paying more attention to your behavior. You have to be the example already with bio kids, the pressure is way more with ones that aren't. That's my experience anyway. My son isn't mine but he mistakenly calls me mom sometimes and my stepdaughter wants to live with me instead of her mom so i guess im doing okay.
I think it’s less that Chilis never had her body like that when lying down and more that when she DOES lie down it’s in something firmer like a couch instead of a deck chair.
One little tinny correction; while Double Babysitters and Christmas Swim are next to each other on Disney Plus, they actually aired apart originally with Double Babysitters being episode 39 and airing Nov 6, 2020 and Christmas Swim being episode 51 and airing Dec 1, 2020.
Also with disney+ censoring the vasectomy talk the theory that they went ahead and had it done and the baby room being moved out don’t really correlate for most of the audience. I have nannied for many families and a lot of times people are done having kids, they make it final, they get rid of the baby stuff and then… baby #3 is welcomed next november😂so that makes me feel like them not “needing” another kid rlly has nothing to do with the possibility of another kid.

i dont think round belly vs square belly is a stylistic thing based on who is animating at the time, because everything is just posed with shapes- not to mention, its a 100% chance the show has rigerous style guidelines to ensure proper portrayal and style in the case of traditional art of the characters. i think it really is just based on the perspective of the character- side profiles round, quarter perspectives square. or sometimes to accent silliness a round or square bottom fits better.
America is soft when it's comes to kids show talking about different topics from real life mostly about family and others, but America wants basic kid shows, while bluey is more about the psychology of young children learning.
The community is starting to get stir crazy with how drawn out season 3 is. There are so many reasons against Chili being pregnant. The reasons for? Curved line.
You're a man that loves bluey, and I AIN'T JUDGING, there is a peace in this show that I simply can't explain, it's one of the most beautiful examples of a family that I have ever seen in my entire life. Disney was looking for it's own SpongeBob and it more than found it.

Another story line that could be explored would be Brandy or another character being a step parent. Whether Winton gets a step mum or they introduce a new character whose mother or father has passed away, and they explore the idea of a child seeing someone new to them taking the role of a parental figure.

There's also a possibility that the studio put it in intentionally just to get people talking about it. To "fan the flames" so to speak. A bit sneaky, i admit, if marketing was the goal, but if they simply meant to mess with their viewers as a bit of a prank, I'd say well played. On a side note, i love how you state your opinion and reasoning whilst being completely respectful and nonetheless encouraging to those who may disagree. This is how i think one should state their views instead of the angry outbursts social media is notorious for.
Its funny how people focus so much on Chilli's belly being round when lying down in that one scene, but at 3:10 you can literally see them use the same round belly shape for Bandit in this clip.
i get very tired of all of the guesses, rumors, predictions and conspiracies. that being said, maybe Brandy AND Frisky and Radley will both be having a baby.
I’m cheering for Uncle Rad and Aunt Frisky to be the new parents-to-be in question! Their storyline has me by the heartstrings and they only appear in two episodes 😂
Thank you for this video, I agree this was a stylistic choice and had no further meaning. I don’t think we’ll see Chili having another baby. It would be on par with the show’s relatability to have her grieve the loss of her fertile years, as many women do when they have to accept there won’t be another. Brandy has had to deal with infertility altogether. Aunt Frisky or Trixie would be the likely candidates for having a child, I think. That could open some unconventional storylines for Bluey and Bingo, mainly why they can’t have another sibling. That would be so much more interesting than another plot of young children dealing with a new baby in the family.
Yeah honestly I find that theory of bingo being Brandy‘s kid a bit nonsensical. Mainly because red and blue healers are the exact same breed and can come in a variety of colors.
I really hope Brandy gets a baby someday. Seeing her reaching out for Bingo was heart shattering. I can’t have kids due to my own disabilities and mental health struggles and even if I tried I’d struggle due to past medical problems. Eventually I’ll get my full gender transition and the possibility of ever having kids will be gone forever… that hurts a lot. I’m want kids but I also know what it’s like to grow up watching a parent with severe mental health problems and disabilities… I don’t think I have the energy to make that a better experience for potential kids. I also don’t want to pass on my mental health conditions. And adoption isn’t really an option due to the severely high cost and common LGBT+ discrimination from adoption agencies. I love Bluey because it’s a way to feel love I never had before and find characters I relate to. It would mean the world to me to see Brandy have a baby or adopt… a chance for me to feel like that’s me for a little while
I said that she isn't pregnant just fat or chubby because she's close to her 40s and it would be odd for them to plan for a baby when they toss out the crib and baby stuff so they can't just suddenly change their mind. It's clear that the chat with Fido causes Bandit to get snipped and after that comes with the bedroom episode and Chilli crying and being upset that there won't be more kids and she's the only one keen to have more and he's not for it. Also i noticed that we don't see Fido or Winnie as often in the episodes or background since that conversation so maybe Chilli had an issue with their friendship after that because Fido probably convinced him to get it done or he didn't get snipped yet but was tossing the baby stuff out to show he's serious about no more kids but won't do the procedure yet unless chilli won't get the hint. As much as i would like to see a new sibling, i really don't like the theory of her being pregnant when there's more theories about it being that the loss of Grandpa Bob. And Bob being the butterfly being a symbol for loss then birth of new life and it represents for Frisky and Rad having their 1st baby or hopefully it being a miracle baby for Brandy.

One of my favorite aspects about bluey is that it’s finally a show with two daughters and that’s that. So many kid family shows I see have 3 kids (with one or two boys) or 2 kids with one boy one girl. There are barely any kid shows with two sisters, and I love that for the heelers, and I’m sure many family’s with two daughters are happy to see a family like them

I mean frankly I wouldn't mind if this were the case, but honestly i don't have the slightest idea how people automatically assumed Chilli would be pregnant. Idk, maybe it's the way i was raised but jumping to a conclusion like that is a pretty big jump imo. I think it'd make more sense if it came from someone else in the family. At the end of the day the creators can do what they want and I'll watch it regardless but I really don't know how the whole "Chilli's pregnant!" thing popped up just from an announcement of a special and a screenshot she doesn't even look pregnant in.
Expecting Rad and Frisky to have the baby after they get married, but really hoping that Brandy has a baby (whether it’s a rainbow baby or adoption, I would LOVE for her to come back)
I honestly it's gonna be Frisky since we have heard about Frisky and Uncle Rad getting married. :) Plus, his the oldest brother and still hasn't had kids because of his job.
I think of the same thing i think when I first heard about this theory, I don't think she is, I think is the angle she was in, and beside, the other comments got it spot on, if the bedroom going away and bandit being neutered, also episodes after this don't show here being pregnant
I think it would be fun for frisky and uncle rad, because they can still have the older sibling role with this or older cousin with bluey and bingo because frisky and rad don’t have a permanent home due to the oil rig . And their have been families that for the first part of this major event have mom and child move in temporary while dad is working far away securing money for a house for when mother doesn’t need help being watched over this would be a unique and interesting dynamic. Frisky moves in because she needs help cause she can’t do this alone and rad asks his brother and sister in law to look after her till he can get more stable work or frisky recovers and becomes stable enough to watch their baby on her own.
I really agree with you on one thing: the symbolism of the butterfly indeed represents transformation, rebirth, hope, freedom as well as love. The butterfly also shows of what might be shown in Bluey season 4 or in end of season 3 like Brandy adopting a kid, Radley and Frisky's wedding as well as Winton's dad and the terriers' mum newfound relationship. Really to see these kind of things! ;)

i think the round belly thing is because the dogs are rectangles, not cylinders so in episodes like mount mumanddad her belly looks square because the "corner" of her belly is being shown whereas the front of her belly is more rounded like when you see her at a full 90° in the recent ep and how brandy was while lying down
I hope Brandy has a child, her episode was so sad and my favorite. "it just wasn't meant to be" just isn't true, there are other options for infertile people. I can just imagine the pain of watching her sister living out the dream she also wanted, I can understand why she lost contact it would be so painful.
honestly one topic i want Bluey to tackle is the diference on how lots of times male kids are taught and treated diferent from female kids, cause i feel its a very important thing to handle that from very youngh age we always play with each other, yet at the same time theres always this obvious expectation that boys are tough and roudy wile girls are gentle and calm, and wile the show doesnt show it at all, i feel its still something important to talk about and show that it doesnt matter how you are being told to BE by everyone around you because of your looks, but be who you want to be

what id really love to see is for the aunt to adopt a teen. it would be a whole new family dynamic, it would focus on feelings where the child may struggle with feeling as a replacement for the miscarried baby, I just see so much potential.
It’s just perspective. The other times they’ve laid down, we clearly see both legs. In the way Chili is laying down, we only see one clearly visible leg.
I think it’s possible, although even if they are doing it, I seriously doubt that extremely subtle difference was ever an intentional hint so kinda wild that someone would consider it proof because honestly at best I think it’s a coincidence. I really don’t mind either way. It would make sense for her to want another, and it would make sense for them to be done. Really, I just trust the writers I think. They’ll most likely make whatever the plan is work.
In fact, I never thought Chilli was pregnant with a third child, and besides, I've noticed in some episodes even Bandit also has a rounded belly when he lies down, so it's just a change and artistic improvement in style, nothing more or less.
I like how ppl just assume a rojnd belly on a tired and then yell witha glowing sign saying SHE IS PREGNANT when to me, is just an exhausted mother with just a drawing a little different when is literally normal
I hope they don’t get another kid. not every family needs a brother/kid of every gender or extra baby. Not every story needs a “jealous of the baby” “oh we need to think abt the baby” subplot. We have enough stories with that. It just doesn’t fit for me, it’s low hanging fruit, give them a cousin!
As much as I want it to be true, it's probably not. with the episode "the sign" you'd expect these absolutely amazing parents to have some picture of their son. and Joe Brumm is def the type of person to think of that, sadly :[

The episode "Camping" with Jean Luc shows Bluey much older. If Chilli was to have had another child, it would be a huge continuation error based on that episode alone.
Don't want chili to have anoth3r kid but how would it contradict canon when we only see Bluey in that flashforward? We don't even see Bingo or anyone else (we hear muffin) but that's it. A 3rd kid could theoretically be present and unseen.
I love Brandy, because I very much sympathize with her. It would be great if Brandy adopted, or went through IVF, or embryo adoption. We went through embro adoption and traditional adoption, and it's weird how much flack people throw for both! I have heard such terrible hate about IVF babies not being human; which needs to stop in society, especially with infertility on the rise globally. My husband and I were once walking through Walmart with our new, beautiful daughter by way of traditional adoption, and I was yelled at by some old man for being a "tramp". So what our daughter didn't match me?!
I mean, it is still possible, kids can happen on accident, and vasectomies aren't always guaranteed to work(although more often than not, they do). But I would love to see Brandy get a kid.
I think it's just wishful thinking by people who may have three kids and want to see that depicted or who want one of the kids to be a bit for similar reasons.

Of course chili is pregant! Her rectangular body did not stay perfectly rectangular when she laid down in a position that a rectangle would have to bend to be in!
I'm not saying the theory is correct but getting a vasectomy isn't 100% protection against having children just like getting your tubes tied. It's still a large amount but there is a small chance of it happening. Again I'm not saying the theory is possible I'm just saying don't go around saying it's impossible.
I think the reason why so many people think she's pregnant is BECAUSE of how the Heelers originally decided not to have another kid. Sometimes no matter how hard you try things just happen, and it would be a good message to show people. But tbh personally I think it's either somebody else got pregnant or a former major character died
