This video is NOT staged and this is NOT a joke!!
I arrived here in Gaziantep - the culinary capital of Turkey - and as I've been going eating different foods from street vendors, NOBODY IS LETTING ME PAY FOR ANYTHING!
Turkish people are so kind and generous that when they discover that I am a tourist, they simply will not accept my money. In some cases, they aggressively hit my hand away and put my money back in my pocket. It's unbelievable.
If you guys can remember about 1.5 years ago, I made a similar video in Peshawar, Pakistan -- where nobody would accept my payment -- so this is a kind of a sequel. And now, I think you will finally start to understand that the people in this part of the world are the friendliest!
I hope this video inspires some of you to visit Turkey, it really is that amazing here.

1) Prohibition of Harming Neighbour: The Prophet, (Peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By Allah, he is not a believer! By Allah, he is not a believer! By Allah, he is not a believer.’’ It was asked, "Who is that, O Messenger of Allah?’’ He said, "One whose neighbour does not feel safe from his evil" (Sahih Bukhari). 2) Recommendation to treat neighbour well: The Messenger of Allah, (Peace and blessings be upon him), said: "Jibril kept recommending me to treat my neighbour well until I thought that he would tell me to make him one of my heirs" (Bukhari: 6014). 3) Caring for your neighbours: Abu Dharr, May Allah be pleased with him, reported: The Messenger of Allah, (Peace and blessings be upon him), commanded me thus, "O Abu Dharr! Whenever you prepare a broth, put plenty of water in it, and give some of it to your neighbours" (Sahih Muslim). 4) Co-operation with your neighbours: Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported that the messenger of Allah, (Peace and blessings be upon him), said: "No-one should prevent his neighbour from fixing a wooden peg in his wall." Abu Huraira said (to his companions), "Why do I find you averse to it? By Allah, I certainly will narrate it to you" (Sahih Bukhari), 5) Do not eat your full while your neighbour is hungry: The Messenger of Allah, (Peace and blessings be upon him) says:" He is not a believer who eats his fill whilst his neighbour beside him goes hungry" (Bukhari). 6) Never scorn your neighbour’s gift: Sahih Abu Hurayrah reported that the Prophet, (Peace and blessings be upon him), used to say: "O Muslim women! No one should scorn the gift of a neighbour, even if it is (only) a sheep’s foot" (Bukhari: 6017). 7) Harming a neighbour may lead to Hell-fire: Abu Hurayra, may Allah be pleased with him reported: A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah! There is a woman who prays, gives charity and fasts a great deal, but she harms her neighbours with her speech (by insulting them)" He said: "She will go to hell". The man said: "O messenger of Allah! There is (another) woman who is well-known for how little she fasts and prays, but she gives charity from the dried yoghurt she makes and she does not harm her neighbours". He said: "She will go to paradise" (Ahmad, vol. 4, p. 166, Ibn Hibban, hadith no. 2054). 8) Tolerance when treating neighbours: Mutarrif said: "I heard that you (he means Abu Dharr, may Allah be pleased with him) have said that the Prophet, (Peace and blessings be upon him), said: "Allah loves three and hates three.’" Abu Dharr said, "I do not think that I would tell lies about the Messenger of Allah." Mutarrif said, "Then who are the three whom Allah loves?" Abu Dharr (quoting the Prophet, (Peace and blessings be upon him)) said: "A man who fights for the sake of Allah, with perseverance and hoping for reward from Him, and fights until he is killed, and you find this in the Book of Allah.’ Then he recited: “Truly Allah loves those who fight in His cause in battle array, as if they were a solid cemented structure.” [al-Saff 61:4] Mutarrif asked, “Then who?” He said, “A man who has a bad neighbour who annoys and disturbs him, but he bears it with patience and forbearance until Allah ends the matter either during his lifetime or upon the death of either of them.”

In Germany, once me and my friends were in Turkish Döner shop. Me and one of my friends did not have cash and wanted to pay by card, but their card payment system was not working that time. Surprisingly a Turkish family stand up and paid the bill! We have asked for their phone number so that we can pay them later day, but they wouldn’t accept it! My turkish friend told us that it is very normal for turkish people and they will not accept anything from us in return! This video reminded me of the good memories and hospitality of Turkish people! They are so amazing!

No, Gaziantep is not a Kurdish city. Kurds are only 10-12% of it. Gaziantep is good Turkish City. In Turkish culture, an unexpected guest is accepted as "Tanrı misafiri" which means a guest from the God and therefore everyone tries to help the guest while he/she has been there.

I cannot describe you how much I love Greece without even being there once in my life. Every time I meet a Greek person I feel like I am finding a lost sibling. I love listening to our common songs, the dances, the food fights, little jokes between the countries, how similar we look and act, everything. One time a Greek person I met asked me if Turks hate the Greeks. I told him that would be like hating your own self. I was so surprised when a Greek friend of mine asked me if it would be safe for him to visit Turkey since it looks like our countries might end up having a war soon. Such a thing was literally never mentioned in the Turkish media (not that it is reliable, but I have never heard of such a possibility). That moment I started to question how we are portrayed elsewhere. My point is, for politicians, I guess it is helpful at times to demonize an external power to distract people from focusing on internal problems. Please don't buy that. Very glad for all the help that came from Greeks during the 1999 and 2023 earthquakes. Very happy to somewhat help with your wildfires. Very grateful to find comfort in your presence, especially when I am abroad & far away from home. Very eager to fight about "ayranaki", "baklavaki", "dolmades" and whatnot like two little kids. You are the best komsu that we could ask for. ❤

This made my heart smile and heart at the same time. I'm not Turkish but my sister in law is but like my brother lived there for 20 yrs so they met, married, and had kids over there and thus we used to go visit all the time back in the day like early 2000s. Eventually they moved to NJ bcz my sis in law got offered a job to teach at an ivy league school and my brother wanted his kids to go to upper level school in the US but Turkey especially Istanbul (bcz im basic like that ig) has a very special place in my heart.

In Norway, once me and my friends were in Turkish Döner shop. This video Bakvala and Lokum

I've always dreamed of traveling to Turkey. The food their looks insanely good and the people seem so kind. Not just in this video either. I've seen many videos and have talked to friends from there and they all say the same. Great food and great people. Oh and pistachios are my absolute favorite food. I love anything with pistachios in it.

Wow really eye opening for me, I had no idea the people of Turkey had such a friendly and inviting culture! In a lot of places, they feign friendliness because ultimately they want something from you, which makes a really uncomfortable dynamic with the fakeness of it all, but I am absolutely shocked at the genuine pleasure of everyone you met to go above and beyond in making you feel welcome, even inviting you to come around for dinner and try mothers cooking! Wow. Seems like they are really truly passionate about the food and products they are working with to be so happy to share it with you. For real this is where I'm travelling next. Every single thing you ate looked just next level amazing.

I lived in Turkey for 4 years with my family and kept visiting for many years afterwards. It wasn't until the second year as our Turkish improved and we made close friends with people, that we realised that the custom is that people offer things 3 times and you have to say no thank you 3 times before they stop. The same thing applies to you. If you offer a drink or a cigarette, they will say no thanks 3 times as well. If they want to accept, they will do it on the 3rd or even 4th ask. Of course, it's also true that they are wonderful and kind people, my favourite in the world.

Once visited Trabson ( 2 years back) , we arrived around 22h and we asked for a restaurant/foodshop and as he informed us that eveyrthing was closed, he went home, took tea ,honey , bread and more and fed us , without having to pay ( we insisted but he didnt want) , his hospitality didnt stop there. NExt day , the owner of the hotel took his own car to drive us in the mountains , ( like 1h drive ), local restaurants & more, didnt want any money for the guidance. I will never forget him and will always be grateful.

The last time I was in Turkey: - I walked into a shop, it turned of the owner is a biker, we started chatting about bikes and he refused any payment for what I got - I stopped to buy some figs and the guy wouldn't take my money - A family just saw me, I guess realizing I was a foreigner, the father came to me just to say hi and give me a delicious fruit out of nowhere Turkey is awesome, can't wait to go back there!
