not that i can afford it, but the Danessa Myricks palette is so gorgeous!! not only are the palettes magnetic but also the individual shades WITH shade name underneath meaning you can swap colours from multiple palettes 😮😍 we need more exciting launches like this, i’m sick of skin tints and mascara 😂

The price of that lash kit is psychotic. I'm a licensed lash tech and makeup artist. For that price you could easily get fives times the supplies and be able to customize your look. The Kylie Cosmetics palette looks like a direct knock off of Makeup by Mario, -10 points for innovation. The other stuff looks cute. Prices are all nuts, though.

Girl I’ve been a massive sailor moon fan since the early 90’s & I absolutely love branded products, but those prices are outrageous. That reminds me I need to rewatch the new cosmos movies. 🏃‍♀️

I love the Corpse Bride packaging, but I can't stand the pastel colours. Needs more dark colours with th maybe one or two pastels. I mean, it's about death, gloom - you know, the good things! Also, I really love the Agatha lip set. Now THATS how it's done!! I find it really hard to get dark coloured lipsticks like black, dark blue, dark green and reddish black. It seems most makeup companies stick to boring browns and beige - YUCK!

Have you done a video about how to use liquid eyeshadow and I’ve missed it? I’ve tried Lisa Eldridge’s liquid lurex and wanted to love it, the color is great but I can’t make it work for my oily hooded eyes even with primer. Maybe I’m doing it wrong?

I was very disappointed in the Danessa Myricks palette. The magnet for the lid is NOT strong enough, and half of the shades are underwhelming both in pigment and wear time, even with a primer. Comparing it to other similar priced palettes, it’s not worth it. If the fix the pigmentation and wear time, and the magnet strength, it would be worth it.

This will be controversial, but I believe LIPGLOSSES, MASCARAS, BLOTTING POWDERS shouldn't cost so much. Every brand is releasing the next "best mascara", but I'm telling you just try Essence mascaras. They have Lash Princess mascaras for a more dramatic look and some others for a more natural, subdued look. Their lipglosses are $3 and they smell amazing. I always have their clear lipgloss on standby and their Lash Princess mascara. Their compact powder meant for touchups and removing excess shine is also in my collection and many MUA compare it to high end compact powders and they rival a lot.

I 100% agree with you on the Hello Kitty & Sailor Moon collabs. Honestly, I think they were both kind of lacking in the design department & I'm not a huge fan of The Crème's products, at least the ones I've used. They are definitely over priced & not really worth it, at least for me. I really wish these brands would take inspo from Japanese packaging especially when working with brands like Sailor Moon & Hello Kitty. They have so many fun designs & I just don't understand why it's not explored in the western market. We love fun packaging too!

Robert, thank you. You talked me out of the Myrick pallette by describing them. It is brilliant packaging, but need a different mix. If one tray was neutrals, another colurs and last complimentary chromes and shimmers it would be worth the price.

I am dying 🪦 for the Danessa Myricks pallet. A single, good multi chrome eye shadow is about $17.00 each, multiplying that by 18, and it = $ 306.00. It also has several different formulas, a decent range of colors, the packaging is Genius! For traveling you can take (example) 6 of your preferred Duo chromes from the pallet, because they pop out individually, (if magnetized) 6 mattes or transitioning shades from your personal collection, and still have room to pop in a blush, bronzer and highlighter ! You can make your own face pallet. Great for traveling 🍒

ive had enough of expensive brands getting away with exclusivity. westman atelier has NO EXCUSE for such a rubbish shade range. if they can make that many, for that price, they can make 10 more shades.

I realize i dont actually know you, personally. I mean absolutely no disrespect when i say this- you give a vibe like, while you are careful about your finances, you arent necessarily hurting. Like youve seen that life, but are no longer there. That said, i genuinely appreciate the fact you are so conscious of the wide variety of financial situations your fans might be in, and you dont hesitate to call out super high prices and are always giving us dupes. I trust your opinion and have found many of my holy grails based on your recommendations of the dupes. Id just like to say thanks for looking out for us small folk.

I finally tried all Lisa Eldridge’s line --my God stunning everything --foundation is to just die for eyeshadows are like butter but you need a primer on the palettes for staying power! but they are just phenomenal! The concealer says, as a selling point/feature, recyclable packaging (after cleaning it)... Glass is recyclable, some plastics are recyclable... after you properly clean it. Reusable is the "new" move. That would've explain a high cost of a concealer.

I was so excited about the Danessa Myricks palette and how it works that I didn't even clock it was all multichromes and shimmers. 😅 Really hope she brings out mattes too because I agree, it would be nice to mix and match or just have mattes if you don't like shimmers.

my obsession with keeping cute packaging like the sailor moon ones lead me to keep a journal of any loose cute pictures or interesting bits i find i think people call them ''crow journals' now but it also is good for if you have sticker anxiety about using them so u keep them in a book with all your cute bits and bobs

The Westman Atelier concealer price shocked me; not because of how high it was but because it made me realize how desensitized I’ve gotten. I missed the price the first watch, so when Robert started talking about it being outrageous I was thinking “how bad can it be, $50?” And only then did it hit me that I used to consider $50 for a luxury *foundation* to be absurd. Fortunately I’m not buying anything right now, my system is clearly out of wack 😅

As much as Anna Sui is 'legendary' in fashion and has been a very frequent collaborator with Hello Kitty (for over 20 years!) ... the biggest problem with those lipsticks is they are not really designed to be used. They are designed just to purchase. Which bugs the crap out of me. I just hate how much everything is about collecting and consuming feeding off this FOMO.

The creme stuff is such poor quality, drying lip balms and moisturizer. I dont know how they are in business (they get us woth the cute packaging)

I love Sailor Moon and usually buy at least part of the collections but this collab was way too over priced! Especially since, as you said, the majority was disposable. Very disappointing.

As a Sailor moon fan I was first interested on the the creme x sailor moon collab but as Robert was going through the products and telling the prices and what they were I quickly lost interest, too expensive for mostly disposable products smh

I agree with license collabs focusing on collectibles. I am not gonna be throwing money on pimple patches and sheet masks because I can't keep the packaging.

There are a few things here that I really like, but basically, the prices across the board have tipped into being too expensive for me.

I have the westman concealer. it is nice, but if used under the eyes (thinly) it does tend to crack in the inner corners of the eyes after a few hours, which it shouldn't for that price. The Natasha Denona and Danessa Myricks concealers do not do this

Fall is the season for me! 😍 I bought the Danessa Myricks palette without thinking too much about it-I adore multichromes and the functionality of the palette! My neutrals are already covered by the Huda Pretty Grunge, Natasha Denona My Dream, and the one Pat McGrath palette I own, so I’m okay with the Danessa one being fully multi chrome.

That’s the typical price point for Crème Shop, even for their unlicensed stuff. Their stuff is super cute, but it is really overpriced. Really better for collecting than for actually using.

The Agatha PR has already been sent & I was lucky enough to get it, because of Marvel. And I have to say, they are the most full coverage I’ve ever seen from any brand, they’re beautiful, but they do stain quit a bit. So have an exfoliant ready. But def buy if you’re a fan. I’d never heard of the brand before, but the PR box, came with a deck of Tarot cards & they’re Agatha themed cards, & after trying on my fiends, the collection is now on display, but I’m using the Tarot cards lol
