I believe history is important because , its important to know where we have come from and , how things were before,also history is knowledge and learning about wars, people of color and many other things , people of leaders people of color that have made a difference and how it does effects others of color now and still which is really sad honestly !!! I have struggled with things allot for things ! SO HAS MY DAUGHTER AND MY CHILDREN AS WELL I WILL NEVER STOP LEARNING i will continue to promote this onto my children i have with me. Now which is why i do promote reading , and reading is knowledge don’t you ever quit NO never that !!!!!❤

TashGQ That’s not the point; you don’t need to use it in your job for it to be important. It’s about remembering the past, people who did incredible things and had an impact on the world; the one we live in today. They’re stories of our world; this isn’t just some random tale, it’s our past. We should never forget the people who gave us our world today. Cruel as history can be sometimes, it all contributed to a lot of good to our present. 9/11 for example was a horrible tragedy but because of it we have much better security so that kind of thing won’t happen again. I mean I agree with you that it’s useless in terms of most jobs but imagine a generation that didn’t learn about their history and knew nothing about the world and the people that came before them. All the struggle, strife, triumph, and joy of the past would be lost, forgotten. In preparing for our future, we should never forget the past because without it, we wouldn’t have the present to build our future upon. Lest we forget
