I played a 2v2 ai match and somehow the enemy didn’t spawn on the map but somehow still built a wonder

Amateur here. I would be interested in an experimental FFA with a modded pop cap. As far as I can tell the arbitrary limit on the size of your army drags these big FFA games out doubly when A) the arbitrary limit on army size limits aggression when you can't move units away from home when it leaves your base naked And B) your recource gathering ability drastically outpaces production, extending battles of attrition when players are just sitting on tens of thousands of unspent recources. Neither issue is unique to FFA but the two factors compound into each other. A enables B when units aren't being churned through and B enables A when offensives being dragged out increase the window of vulnerability. If it's a technical limitation then 6 players at ~270 pop, 5 at 320, and 4 at 400 pop would have the same amount of entities as a game with 8 players at 400. Rant over. Thoughts welcome.
