I remember my dad driving us over the bridge when we were kids. The bridge is not the original bridge, the original one was torn down and replaced with that one about 25 years ago. The original had the ironworks on it and was very scary and intimidating. I was born and raised in Eden, NC which is about 3 miles from the bridge and also a member of the “society” you mentioned. Great video. The only Plantation with "armed guards" is at the Oak Hill ruins. The people who live in the log cabin will crack shots into the air if they hear anyone messing around the site. Otherwise, you're good.
