Hi Pam, Thanks for this video. I have my own opinions on what may cause MS but I do think there is a lot of potential in exploring the idea that the Epstein Barr virus is a cause of a large percentage of the occurrence of MS. Everyone I know who has MS had the virus when they were younger, as did I. I had it at 16 and by the time I was 21 I was diagnosed with MS. I do know that I felt the beginnings of MS a few years prior to my diagnosis as I was always “bumping into walls” and just put that down to clumsiness, which I now know was the beginning of my unsteadiness due to MS. I also feel though, that even though the medical profession is throwing lots of money at trying to find a cure for MS, it is still quite a few years away unfortunately. My symptoms have taken a turn for the worse over the past twelve months, although it seems that the stress in my life has caused quite a bit of this. I’m trying to not let stress get me down these days and am just trying to concentrate on staying well and healthy. I hope you’re doing well also. Cheers, Shelley
Hi Shelley! I'm sorry to hear that your symptoms are more troublesome lately, but if stress is to blame, at least it's probable that the MS itself isn't worsening, only the symptoms. As you say, the cure is still off in the future, so taking care of our general health is the best course. I hope you can keep the stress monster in his cage where he belongs!
Yes indeed. There's a lot of research and testing going on, but individual human beings are so complicated with co-morbidities and the like that it's challenging to tease out cause and effect. Hope your PPS is stable...35 years is a long haul.
Hi Donna! No, we're not there yet. I appreciate the painstaking nature of the research, though. I wouldn't want things rushed into the marketplace without careful testing for side effects, etc., just so the drug companies could make money.😉
Answer: US is a Very Naive Culture. They just sit, read, put their faith and hopes in Anybody wearing a cotton lab coat, and the cause of MS just goes on.
