When I was around 8 years-old, my father was ministering to a small Baptist mission church in predominately Roman Catholic south Louisiana. One afternoon, he took me to the local Roman Catholic church and walked me around the "Stations of The Cross" where the parishioners knelt and prayed before life-size statues of the "saints". Dad wanted to emphasize the idolatry of the Catholic practices. That little demonstration made an impression on me, but, it was many years before I realized that the practices of the Southern Baptist denomination were just as far from the biblical teaching outlines in the Jewish scriptures. Thank you, Rabbi, for helping to open my eyes to the truth of Tanakh.

@andyburns8551 The Christian's bibles are just very badly mistranslated and corrupted versions of the Torah/Tanach, The Real Word of G_d, with a whole lot changed including names, a whole lot added, and a whole lot taken out. Everything that G_d said not to, Christianity did! No Hebrew/Jew was ever named Jesus, nor John, nor especially James! There is no letter J in the Hebrew alephbet nor does any of the Hebrew letters even make a J sound. Try actually reading the scriptures where G_d gave the Torah and the Commandments to Mosche and the Children/Nation of Israel on Mt. Sinai. The One True Creator G_d specifically told them in no uncertain terms that neither they nor any of their descendents all through time are to Never veer to the right nor left of the Torah/Tanach! Never!!! Do you understand what that means??? The One True Creator G_d also specifically told them in no uncertain terms that neither they nor any of their descendents all through time are to Never accept anybody else's religion! Never!!! Do you understand what that means??? The One True Creator G_d also specifically warned NOT to add to, nor subtract from the Torah/Tanach, but Christianity did it anyway. @@bigtomboye I think it's so we have the chance to exercise the free will G-d gave us so we can make the right choice to serve Him, to help fulfill what He wants in the world. He gives us the chance to return when we've strayed, with open arms. That this is what is meant by a personal relationship is difficult to accept, even after decades since I left the church. Tovia is correct that the first stage is the easy part. And just think - he's missed out on what it feels like to get clean! Hang in there and welcome each chance to make a good choice.

For many of us though we didn't choose Christianity. We were put there. Me personally, I was taken out of the Bronx, a very Jewish area at one time, and as an orphan placed in the heart of the south into Christianity. No choice required. That must be factored into the discussion about why Christianity is so "popular". But in my defense and many others, as soon as we were shown...BAM! Goodbye idolatry, Hello the Jewish nation🎉❤ I believe once Christians are actually shown- inside their heart, mind, soul whichever is the deepest- they will freaking run from it and embrace HaShem with all their everything. It's so simple yet so hard for a human to do. If HaShem shows them, who wouldn't follow!! I've asked the question, "Why not sooner though?" Sigh. He knows. To add: HaShem brought us to the court and showed us everything, then He allowed you, Rabbi Singer, the slam dunk. He wanted you to do it. 😍 He loves His people for sure!!

I knew I was done with Christianity at 16. It never clicked to me and that part was easy. Shortly after I learned at school about Judaism and that was it. I've been a Noahide ever since, but I don't want to be a noahide, I never wanted that. For my parents' sake, I tried so hard to "become" a Christian again. That was my personal hell. Everytime it was an act. I'm 30 now, in a country with no way to convert (no beit din here), with no way to move to another country to convert and in an area with no Jews around...All I'm asking is for HaShem to make it possible for me to fully convert to Orthodox Judaism before my days are gone. Then I may leave this world with peace in my soul.

The Quran confirms the Tanakh where Jesus has no connection to King David because no one who is born without a biological father can inherit a tribe in Judaism meaning Jesus was a Jew without inheritance of any tribe meaning in the Quran Jesus was a messiah like the many messiahs before him who did not descend from David through Solomon and Jesus confirmed what was revealed by every person before him meaning “God is one” and Jesus is not God or part of God. . The word messiah meaning anointed is a name that foretells the event in Gospel of Matthew 26:7. Jesus is not anointed as the messiah who descended from the house of David through Solomon as foretold in the Tanakh. . Rabbi Tovia Singer explains that the Jesus of Islam did not come to change anything meaning in the Quran Jesus confirms God is one and Jesus is not God meaning in the Tanakh and in the Quran every prophet after Moses did not add or subtract to what the Torah commands be followed forever by the Jewish people.

Fast forward to personal situations that I was rejected by all of them. The few friends left told me to go to israel for two weeks. I had no money but had nothing to lose. I landed in Tel Aviv. A few months later I did tfillin for the first time. It so moved me that I decided to start studying Torah because I knew nothing about Judaism. ✡️ the first Torah teaching I heard blew me away. Was born and raised Catholic until my conversion to the Born Again Christian movement which made my life a struggle filled with doubts and fears that no matter how hard I tried I would never be pleasing to God. Things only got worse with seeing the rampant hypocrisy among the congregation members and fault finding judgmental Church elders often insisting that the misfortunes in my life were due to some hidden sins. They haven't read Paul and are stunned that, for example, Jesus's advice about eating anything bc what defiles you are words is intended for Jews; these people misunderstand that Jesus is telling NON-Jews to eat whatever and guard their words. I think it depends on how steeped in Christianity your family and community are. My family is not, but I built lifelong friendships with deeply committed Christians. I was an associate pastor many years ago in conservative denomination. I did t’shuvah just before Rash Hashana, so three weeks ago. It’s a struggle to change how I pray, to clean out my theological books and other Christ focused materials. I’m learning I pray a lot more than I thought, which is good, but I prayed to Jesus in all my spontaneous prayers, so I’m repenting every day and asking for strength to re-form my old habits. It’s worth it to get closer to G-d, but it’s definitely a serious effort. It’s the relationships with others, considering what to say or not to say, leaving people from church behind, that I find draining. I’m an infant as a Noahide, so much to learn.

The authenticity of Moses is based on the public revelation at Sinai: God revealed Himself to the entire nation of Israel, at least three million people, and proclaimed before them the Ten Commandments. The entire Jewish people personally experienced that revelation, each individual in effect becoming a prophet, and each one verifying the experience of the other. With their own eyes they saw, and with their own ears they heard, as the Divine voice spoke to them, and also they heard God saying, "Moses, Moses, go tell them the following ..." They did not receive the occurrence of that event and accept it as some claim or tradition of an individual, but they experienced it themselves. That public revelation, therefore, authenticated the bona fide status of Moses as a prophet of God, and the Divine origin of the instructions he recorded in the Torah. That, and that alone, is the criterion for the belief in, and acceptance of, Moses and his teachings, as God said to him, "I will come unto you in a thick cloud that the people may hear when I speak with you and will also believe in you forever" (Exodus 19:9).

Note that most people who prefered xtianity as their religion are non Jews, for all your life you were taught that jezeus was your hero, that he was always there for you no matter what, and that alone can make a strong attachment to xtianity, in short just like some other religions you’re brainwashed…but when i leave xtianity i just leave knowing the God im about to serve deserves all the praise, not a man who i thought was there with me, its not just emotions, sometimes we should use our brains logically and emotionally we will end up in the right track.the Bible warned us that the human heart is decietful, and so we end up doing what we think is right in our own sight..xtianity is clearly idolatry.

*_The Demigod GAYZEUS son of ZEUS_* found in the the Synoptic Gospels is a literary character invented by the Romans to promote the recent arrival of the Flavian dynasty to imperial power, creating an archetype of messiah towards which all preexisting Jewish prophecies converged. The aim was (1) to empty Jewish concepts, hijacking the messianic hope and solidifying a controversial archetype of Jewish messiah, (2) to blame the Jews for their own destruction in the war of Jerusalem in 70 and (3) to exalt the Flavian dynasty of emperors. The content of the message propagated by the characters in the narrative portrays an agenda of political accommodation, preservation of the imperial “status quo”, anti-Judaism and military indoctrination: both for Roman soldiers and for colonized civilians. Soldiers are often the recipients of the teachings of the Gospels, which occur both explicitly (as in Luke 3:14, when John the Baptist recommends that soldiers be content with their pay, just as Rome advised those recruited for military service) and implicitly (as in Luke 9:23, when the instruction is given to abandon everything - family, friends, work - and follow the leader, just as the government wanted the soldiers to do). There is also abundant teaching reinforcing the civil obligation to serve soldiers, including obeying them for twice the amount required (Matthew 5:41). The character Jesus always presents himself as the reformer of the Law of Moses (Matthew 5:38, correcting Exodus 21:24 on the principle of “an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth”) and the propagator of various Roman laws (as in Mark 10:12 on marriage and in Matthew 22:21 recommending the payment of taxes). Jesus never taught his disciples to love Jews or their relatives, but he *_did teach them to love Romans (Matt. 5:44) and to turn the other cheek (Matt. 5:39). The Flavian Theory, therefore, not only presents a coherent argument for the literary origins of Jesus, but also highlights the Romans' ability to use religion as a tool of sociopolitical control._* *_Some of the most enigmatic passages found in the gospels are more easily understood when seen through the eyes of a general speaking to his legions._* *I had an insipid deplorable two faced Greek woman admit to all of it proudly in these comment boards awhile ago, very sickening.* 🤮🤮🤮

It's emotionally draining because you are coming from a place of logic and examination of the scriptures to find truth and are fighting an upbringing in a religion steeped in emotional connection at its base in what amounts to spiritual blackmail. Believing in a certain person is the bottom line regardless of what else you do, what kind of person you are, or what else scripure says about the subject. Friends and can family pile on and ignore all that you are saying about being truthseeking, don't want to hear what you have discovered, and are coming from emotional places of trying to convince you you are going to hell because Jesus said so and/or that you are distancing yourself by going on (or even investigating) a different path. You are trying to put your life in order, but everything external is saying to ignore the facts that are in your face to keep going on a path without any intelligent reason to justify it. Instead, it becomes about spiritual and emotional guilt, and they don’t see it but you do. It's exhausting. At some point you have to learn to exercise what faith is supposed to be and realize that the G-d of Abraham, Issac and Jacob that created you and that led you to these discoveries will continue to help you and won't abandon you if you seek to serve Him the way that what He has written says. That in the end is what gets you through. True faith isn't based on willful blindness. When you get on that path, you can build a new level of faith and emotional connection that is just as strong.

It isn’t so much that the christian god is remote as that it is taught as he is perfect, only those who are perfect can approach him. The Jewish people have laws that cannot be kept perfectly, due to original sin. The law is only there to point out that man cannot save himself, one little stumble and you are going to hell, and therefore needs a savior. At some point I came to realize that I was being manipulated and held by fear. As I do the work of conversion to Judaism, I will hear over and over again from my Christian family and friends that rejecting the christian god and his “son” Jesus, I am condemning myself to hell. I will never see my loved ones in the afterlife, etc. Twisting prophecies, omissions, additions. Fear (going to hell), gaslighting ( those “Old Testament”verses don’t mean that) intimidation (if you leave the church, terrible things will happen to you) It is like being in a narcissistic, abusive relationship. The emotional part for me leaving all that behind was how could I have fallen for it for so long? (Rabbi, I believe I am a bit older than you)The other unfortunate side effect is that if I fell for christianity’s lies, can I trust myself to seek the truth? Rejecting jesus was the “easy” part. Learning to trust myself is the tough part. Learning to forgive myself is the tough part. Each word of Torah I read, each Psalm I read, each prayer I learn, each bracha I learn, is bringing healing, knowledge, comfort, truth. I can say Shema with confidence that I believe every word of it. I am learning from my past, learning to forgive myself, my idolatry, my spiritual blindness, and looking forward to the day, God willing, I become a member of the Jewish people.

Listen to the Owners of the truth and you will learn so much and you will be free your soul. The Jews' memories probably, about the Nazi Reich Minister of propaganda Paul Joseph Goebbels (1897-1945), probably is no to good, but we can learn from him celebrate phrase: "Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth"; this celebrate phrase is the base of many falsies religions or pseudo religions. I was born in the middle of Christianity religion, one kind of the multiples denominations. From my childhood I was disagree with many things they say and do. So I started to make my own research. The largest amount of people they stay in the Christianity or others similar religion, because they are afraid of hell or they want the rewards from heaven; it's not for love to G'd Almighty. So these kind of pseudo religions keep their followers through the fear and culpability. And culpability destroy humans. Repentance with culpability ( falsies religions) vs Repentance with joyfulness (true religion). The repentance with joyfulness with gratitude are part of the bases of authentic Faith (Emunah), that make you free. So they created the dualism as a equivalent of two empires in the Universe as an Empire of Darkness and as an empire of Lightness. They call Satan, prince of this world, but ask yourself: Who is the king? The answers probably are more Stupids than the statement of Satan as a prince of this world. When you are aware that G'd Almighty is the Only One, King of this and all the Universe and Him is just Good and Benefactor, and you are aware that the evil is just an illusion created by false perception, you will free your self. Jews as Tobia Singer just wants to open the eyes of the people. For centuries, Jews were murdered to keep and say the truth. But now is the time we can hear them, this is a great opportunity for all the world. One day Isaac the patriarch will be say: " this is Esav but I feel the hands of Jacob and I hear the voice of Jacob". This will be the end , but the end of the illusions of the evil and darkness.

The people of God were chosen before the foundations of the world. And these are the only ones who will ever be saved. No one knows who they are except God. The gospel is preached, and those who have hearing ears WILL hear. Only God's elect will ever be saved. Many " try" Christianity and even end up in churches. Many are baptized and even take the communion. But these things do not make them Christians. We may never know what they truly are but God knows His own. There are 3 things that confuses both jews and gentiles. They both think there is only an earthly kingdom. They both think there is only their priesthood (jews believe in levitic priesthood and gentiles believe in melchelzedek priesthood). They both think there is only 1 messiah. The solution is: 1. There are 2 kingdoms...the heavenly and the earthly. 2. There are 2 priesthoods...the earthly kingdom uses the levitic priesthood where 1 messiah can only be king(David) but not high priest, and the heavenly kingdom uses the higher Melchizedek priesthood where 1 messiah can be both King and High Priest (Jesus). 3. The jews are correct there is 1 king messiah on earth which is david. The gentiles are correct in Jesus being both King and High Priest but they mistake him as ruling on earth during the millennium instead of heaven. Jesus himself stated his kingdom is not on this earth. This sums up why jew and gentile can't agree on 1 messiah because they don't know which kingdom which messiah is in charge of during the millennium
