I think I just fixed my relatively new GE dishwasher which was shutting off after a few minutes or midcycle. It appears the reason was that the food collector in the machine got somewhat clogged. Fortunately my machine has an easy open (my skills are about 3-4 on a 1-10 scale) we took it out, cleaned it thoroughly and did several hard starts. I turned the circuit-breaker connected to the dishwasher on and off a few times and the last waited a good minute. After 3 or 4 tries, paradise, it's working, I'll more attentive to cleaning dishes before and checking that. As best I can determine, when that is clogged, the machine turns off.
I appreciate the information. With planned obsolescence at a level of criminal or even economic terrorism, I find I have little choice but to fix my electronics and everything else myself so I have turns to the internet for answers. That being said, I recommend that when you make your videos, you consider what symptoms a person might be experiencing so they can know what to look for for each problem. For example, my dishwasher starts and then stops, starts and then stops over and over again. I'm not even sure if this is what it's supposed to do. It starts for a second or two and then stays off for a minute or two and repeats. That's not a symptom/search that Google knows what to do with, so I keep finding videos like yours that don't answer my question. Still gave you an upvote though.
@Ari Jr Alvarez You are sadly mistaken. China made dishwasher are just decoy so that the american consumer will not suspect a thing. It's our very own NSA who put the surveillance in there and the American made ones have Illuminati cameras on them
Thanx! My door is very "LOOSE" in the cabinet...it can be "rocked" left to right....would this also cause the cycle ending issue? Latch and wires seem fine
I have an older Siemens dishwasher which has the manual dial for settings an when in use it rotates with a clockwork mechanism to take it through the various stages. it can only ne turned clockwise, but it get to mid rinse cyle and gets stuck in that position and will not continue, the rinse continues until you manually turn the dial through to to drain and heat cycle…any ideas please or does this need replacing
