Nice! Easy fix. I'm pretty sure you guys also can treat the "bad kidney" without taking it out. 🙂. That will be helpful for when the other kidney also gets bad. Besides, screen brightness is often impact with this kidney removal method.

I knew about blocking signals to the bad side, but never knew you could remove the gate COFs entirely. Will give that a try!

You could apply some scotch tape to left side of flat cable to cover contacts in connector and result could be the same.

super master, I want to ask, I have a black blank LG 49UK6300PTE led tv because one of the 6 rows of ic cof caught fire I tried to close some LVDS lines, the picture can appear but only one side can the cof be jumper because in every cof I see there are measurement points thank you good luck always NB. It's not correct method it's bypassing to full hd to hd ready..as issue in gate cof u must find the defective gate cof and repalce it in correct way..it's wrong way what u doing
