Hey Voo I just wanted to let you know that you're filling a really important niche in the CS community with these videos since Launders stopped making breakdowns. I can personally say I've learned a lot from watching these, and appreciate the time and effort you put in to making them.
Spirit became a BetBoom Dacha merchant from Kato champion. Losing to Faze in the Major kinda somewhat broke their form and flow, other teams ctached up with their shenanigans or gimmicks
Imagine this mastermind also having a genius IGL at his beck and call. He doesnt even need prime s1mple, electronic and perfecto anymore. Yeah his comments about aleksib being tier 2 seemed harsh and egotistical, but the results speak for themselves.
You know that navi team was much more flawed than this one? People 'doubted' if they could replicate a major win because the field at the time was especially weak and because both stats and the eye test would tell you that the team was very flawed. Pretty sure they lost more rounds in that major than they won. Not saying it isn't 'deserved' but to say that people were doubting that team as if it is the same team it is today is just not accurate.
NAVI has been my favorite, and with simple gone, they've lost the prodigy, eccentric, sometimes toxic, but they have jL, and he is charismatic, and fun to watch. NAVI as always has precise strategy and timing. All players are seasoned and have excellent game sense, even if they're individually not the best players I've seen. Spirit on the other hand is raw, but raw talent. Donk of course, quickly becoming on the best, but his whole team has had some crazy play or another. They're all sharp. Shiro was so fast. Magixx on Dust 2, several multikills. Chopper got a number of impactful kills. Zontix, might be the weakest player on the team today, but he often gets an opening pick and he's at least average. Everyone on Spirit is young and raw. Raw talent isn't as solid without seasoned strategy.
navi is good for many reasons. blade + alexi, they complement each other. Wonderful has played very well, he hits easy shots every now and then and takes clutches. bit is always good. iM has played really well after a difficult start. and then jL, major mvp....... there are also others on the team's journey who weld the team together
On R15 I don’t think Spirit was at all aware that the window smoke missed. When the second nade pops the top mid smoke TS seems to be ready for aggression from connector, which makes little sense unless the window is smoked. Wonderful and jL are playing shooting range 2, not counter-strike. Overall NaVi right now is playing on almost another level. People confuse not having a star player to having four of them: in last three months everyone except aleksib is above 1.20 rating. Aleksi is seemingly calling well, given Blade often wont take a timeout even when the team is losing rounds in a row. Also it seems only thing keeping Aleksibs stats under 1.00 is his team playing well.
Really excited to see the final today. Eternal Fire isn’t a team NaVi likely has tailored strategy against, and Eternal Fire has a lot of potential individually. EF won against Vitality and gave MIBR a proper schooling, so if they are having another good day they can give NaVi the same kind of issues TS had been giving before this event.
lets not get ahead of ourselves. the 3 times these rosters have played each other have all ended comfortably in favour of navi. i dont think ef stand a chance tbf
@@AndreiStephan of course brother they deserve the win but can we agree that the rooster of vitality is build to win tier 1 trophy's? and somehow they fail . gg ef
Besides spirit not having that deep of a playbook, to me they are lacking the mental too… shiro played on that gambit roster that just couldnt win, donk and zoontix being still young. Like you can see they are doubting a bit some of their decisions after some fumbles mid season…
yeh their mental is terrible. They don’t have a guy like JL to always be positive. Definitely makes a big difference. Zontix especially just seems like a miserable person looks like he just brings the energy down
If even half the things they say about maniac are true and, let's be honest, they are, then fuck maniac. He chose to embarrass himself. A 35 year old acting like a horny teenager.
i still think you have no idea about how professional CS works. incredible. a tough showing at katowice with a new team especially s1mple leaving, win the major, win the annual esports world cup or whatever it was called, 2nd place at blast premier, 2nd place finish in a CLOSE B05 against vita at cologne, now theyre at least top 4 in esl PL 20 if they dont win it all. they've had top finishes in between as well. incredible how people would even say it was a "fluke" when theyve more than proved they are a top 3 team consistently. you dont get lucky and win a god damn major while beating g2 and faze in the semis and grand finals. lmao yall are clueless. theyre ahead of schedule for sure but that doesnt make it a fluke.
the only major fluke was VP's Rio major. Fluke means you cannot replicate it again. Navi is showing that they can do it consistently now while VP haven't done anything since that major
Don't you want to make a video about snax ? ... His ratings are terrible in absolutely every game I know his position not need that much but anyway ...
first gun round - all i can see is spirit knew exactly where navi players are they just were outaimed. its funny because you are talking about unpredictable tactics etc.
yo austin referenced the video on a podcast started by techgirl ft. thorin, not a "thorin podcast" - i like you voo but, c'mon, how hard is it to properly credit "creators"?
dude all this comment is gonna do is make me decide not to attempt the additional citation at all next time. it's a 45 minute video done with basically 0 cuts. i'm not gonna read this and say "well, time to do more research!" i'm just gonna think "well, better to just say austin said it and nothing else so people don't complain" edited cuz i was pretty annoyed first time around
