Yeah, its communicated REALLY badly. Like the techs used to give 'development efficiency' which was the exact same thing, but if you got dev cost modifier from SPECIFICALLY technologies, it would be dev efficiency.
i discovered it, when first time decided to play tall custom nation. i was so confused when chosing national ideas beyween dev cost and dev cost modifier
10:48 Wait, there's centralised bureaucracy with less than X amount of provinces as well as centalised monarchical bureaucracy with more than X amount of provinces. Thats horrid. With the former also having the badly named Dev Cost Modifier that reform has got to be one of the most concentrated cases of bad naming in the entire game. Also, the wiki says that it is "Owns less than 15/25/35/50 same Continent Provinces, depending on Age" and considering you need tech 27 for this, owning 49 european provinces and being economic hegemon seems a lot more doable.
Yes, the classic way of doing this is shoving your capital in Oceania, since I am pretty sure that continent doesn't even have 50 provinces (or 50 worth conquering)
Well, yes, for smaller amounts, but sending like 50k is a pain, and I had a game in the 1750's with friends where I tried to send 250k, and yeah I am not clicking 2,500 times.
Oh also, I tried no music for this one. What you do think about that decision? Anyway with that said come chat in my discord here: discord.gg/cZE83tQKxS
tbh it doesn't sound THAT bad. you only need to form 6 euro tags, 3 of which are end-game tags, culture shift to korean at the end and get an idea group pulse event. could've been worse
@@LemonCake101 tell him that the race is on and he'd better hurry up because whatever stage he's at, I've passed it two hours ago (i am NOT doing it, not in a million years)
@@LemonCake101 if you annex the province the modifier automaticly gets removed, i just tested it again. But i didnt test it after forming rome, just russia having rome doing the mission for the modifier and then conquer rome, idk forming rome first would do something.
Yup, but if I am sending 50k, I am not doing that. Once I sent 250k in the 1750s to a friend, and yeah I was not about to click 2500 times even with shift.

No idea is 'bad' its just ideas exist to solve problems, and inno doesn't really solve a problem that other idea groups don't solve better. If you are having fun with it, inno is solving the important problem of having fun, so ofc feel free to take it yourself.
@@LemonCake101 Can't you type in the amount? I'm sure there are some actions involving a money counter where this is possible at least (Charter territory f.i)

And what could you tell us about the new Germany mechanics? Prussia and Germany got new mechanics in Domination and now they are updated again right? Some stuff with the german culture group right? Any new missions for Germany?
They are interesting, although I am sad to see that the 5% admin efficiency from Germany is now locked behind the age of revolutions and going revolutionary. Could be an interesting topic to explore for a video in fairness.
Well you might say that Inno is useless, but have you considered that stacking useless monarch point cost reductions pleases the caveman part of my brain that loves it when big number go small?
Well yes, but you still get to 100% innovativeness without it. Again though if an idea groups makes you happy, be happy and take it: I am just a guy on the internet making bad jokes
@@LemonCake101 Oh I completely agree with you, its status as meme tier is well deserved. I couldnt tell you why I like it, its just always been my go to when I dont know what to pick. Its the policies if I had to guess. But thats just me rambling. Great video as always, keep it up! (Even though I'll never attempt that shit, good lord)
@@LemonCake101 yeah but is it really worth taking up a idea group slot just for policies?. maybe you can justify like court for ccr and province warscore cost but i feel taking ideas just for policies isn't worth it
Emm, i think this is actually impossible. Not just very hard but impossible without cheats : With the release > feed > kill > release and play as "exploit" you can do the tag switches fast enough. The problem is the economigic hegemon. It ticks up by 0,5% per month, meaning you need 200 months for it to fully grow. Thats 16,67 years. And even if you finish the tag switches each very fast you will have to complete anything from the first tag switch mission to becoming poland or lith ( depending on which you want to do last) injust under 4 years.
well, the play is do the switches, set up the tags, tick up econ hegemon, and do the final formable that are temp when you are already at 100. Since the release and play mods are permeant modifiers on the province.

Absolute shame that this expansion added a bunch of content to Italy and Rome yet didn't just give the papal States the ability to form Rome or if they weren't going to do that update their mission tree
Ok ok good video. But hold on. Sending ducats 25 at a time ? How tf are you sending money ? If you wanna send 1k it's 10 shift+clicks. Honestly much faster than opening the loan menu, placing the slider and adjusting the interest. Whoever sends ducats 25 at a time to send 1k is either really brave or really stupid (call it ignorant if you prefer). And most certainly a lot of both.
I mean I know you can do it 100 at a time (although I now have like 10 comments pointing it out, thanks guys) but yeah if you offer loan you can do it as a slider, and they can cancel, which means if you are passing like 50k it saves on clicking. One campaign in 1750's I was sending 250k to someone and boi that would have taken hours to click.
gj for 10k I don't know how much money youtube gives, but given that you have a reasonable size, isn't it time to buy a new micro? Or is this just part of your character? xD
Thanks! Worst part about the mic and my constant battle with it for audio quality, is its not a bad mic: its around a $80 fancy one so I feel like even if I where to spend $100 it surely a settings issue or something. Believe me I have been trying.
@@LemonCake101 Ah, the constant war against technic. As someone working in IT I can relate to you very well. It doesn't really bothers me, I just noticed that you still have the same sound quality despite now reaching a new milestone and becoming a big content creator. ^^
They should just call it it development cost multiplier or something. That would quite clearly show it to be different from the normal (additive) dev cost.
Whatever they end up changing I hope they do end up changing it, because I feel like I need to explain it every time a video on it is done. I have this one, the one video where I stack at and a standalone guide on dev efficiency.
But they are both additive modifiers. They could call this "base dev cost" imo, because i feel that the most confusing part is how the first two words are the same
@@sirflasm3456 That's fair. To be honest the best way might be calling it base dev cost and then not even representing it as a percentage, but as the flat amount it changes the base by from 50 (so instead of "-10%", it just says "-5"). Although I'm not sure, can mods change the original base, because I guess that would ruin it?
@@DylanSargesson Yeah i guess mods are the issue. At least Eu4 is near the end of its lifetime and eu5 looks like it's going to have less modifier stacking and no development system
@@DylanSargesson mods can change the base dev cost value, but I am yet to see a serous standalone mod that has. Anbennar, Ante Bellum and pretty much every single MP balance mod have not changed it.

@@LemonCake101 comparing between this and the "all power costs stacking" video, i'd say that one was clearer and less echo-y, but i dont know anything about sound, or settings for that matter, this just sounded off.

Ehh, you can probably have it easier if you do Lübeck first because that one is permanently. The do Lith and just form Poland. You should be able to just form poland because YOU there never an endgame tag.
Lubeck is permanent but only a national modifier, you have to do Lithuania before those (country vs province mod, lose country mod on release and play)
@@LemonCake101 I thought you meant for SP since the usual modifier stacking can, if at all, only be done in SP too. Do you play in MP? I've never tried.
@@LemonCake101 i juiced up eu4, waiting for project ceasar. But im not sure should i hype for it or not. Paradox can make a half game like bunch of useless previous games

I dont know did you played it or not but they made excellent job with out dlcs. In these days we dont know what is a finished game. I wish all other game companies take example from them.
Honestly fair, but I find it a bit redunant, do you really need me to set base production on a random Korean province to 10k, state, give mana flip cultures, etc? Like I did it before in other videos, and on one really cared enough to see it. If you want to test it yourself you are welcome to.
