I'm not well versed in portfolio management so this was a nice video to watch. Would have been cool to see the 30+ asset portfolio with/without rebalancing, but it's trivial enough to be left as an exercise to the viewer :)
I would like to see the same with a random 30 from the spy 20 years ago and watch it rebalance into dying business that no longer exist. Rebalancing won't look that great. Rebalancing is only good if the business survives which most don't. You also sell you're winners for losers which isn't good. The only reason it's good is the ability to buy the cheaper business assuming it survives.
