Why is Prussia alive? Well, why is Romano still alive when Italy isn't two separate nations anymore? Prussia exists as East Germany, Romano exists as South Italy. They go by "Prussia" and "Romano" for the sake of simplicity.
My grandfather was born in Prussia and every time I bring it up he says that it was east Germany He also told me his grandfather was executed by Russian soldiers back in April 1945

Wait, who said that Southern Italy is poor with farmlands? It has great tourist destinations with some of the oldest cities in Italy. Also, some of the land were from Ancient Greece so there's even temples there from Ancient Greece. So South Italy shouldn't be considered poor with farm land all over. The capital of Italy is there as well. As said in that one episode about Romano fighting with Germany about Italy, German tourists, along with other tourists from places, go there every summer. Actually, Prussia does not initially represents Prussia but the Teutonic Order, which still exists today, the headquarters are somewhere in Austria. This is why Prussia is still alive.

I agree with this, but I think that because of Prussia's jump from being one nation to another caused some... side effects. One of those maybe being he doesn't heal like other nations do, explaining why he didn't quickly heal from Hanah's bite. So I think that while Prussia living as East Germany is still immortal like the other nations, he's not invincible like them. Perhaps of he were to fully accept his new role as East Germany he would regain his invincibility, but we all know that he'd never do that and want to stay as Prussia for as long as he can.
I thought that this was the case as soon as I heard the east and west nicknames. I was kind of surprised that people have all these different theories as to why Prussia is still alive. To me, it is pretty obvious that Prussia represents East Germany because of what the creator of this video said about N vs S Italy and E vs W Germany.
On the italy brothers fact that they have really different personalities, like it's obvious, I think as an Italian that they swapped their personalities the south people are more like Veneziano and the north people (they are not that rude hahhaha they are just less carefree) are more like Romano... Another thing keeping Prussia alive could be the Teutonic Order. It does, in fact, still exist and I don't see why Prussia wouldn't still be connected to it.
I agree with this theory, except for a few things. I believe that Prussia is currently New Prussia. Prussia was east Germany when the berlin wall was up. When it fell is when he started to fade. Romano is still around (One because his heart is the capital of Italy) and because he was unified. Like Hungary and Austria when they became their empire or Czechoslovakia. Then when Berlin wall went down Prussia started to fade. I have researched the berlin wall and east Germany and when the wall went down, The soviet union gave up it's rein on east Germany, it was not unified like the other countries I mentions earlier. Prussia faded the same why holy rome did. By getting sick or weaker. In the recent comic stripes, it has shown Prussia reading the brothers grim books to A very sick Holy Rome after his country was dissolved. It shows in the comic (and Prussia's wiki page) That he sneezes when he is bored and as you stated, coughs up blood when he is around Russia. Holy Rome showed these signs when he was sick , just to a larger scale. It has only been about 15 years since the wall fell, I think that Prussia was trying to hold out as long as he could. Then Canada came and saw that Prussia was dying and Created New Prussia. also we haven't seen Prussia in current time in the comic stripes so he might not even be alive, or he is still dying. I do believe that he was East Germany during the cold war, but I do not think he is now. America is very regionally different so if your theory about him being east Germany because the regions are different it would have to be the same for America and various other countries too, like Russia or Canada or china. I hope that makes sense.

Doctorkitty6758 Prussia is East Germany, which makes sense why Prussia's and Germany's personalities are SO different, you can actually see the split between West and East Germany from SPACE! Prussia hasn't been it's own Country since before WW1, so how could Prussia have been seen in WW2? Prussia was considered by many as East Germany. When the Berlin wall came down, West and East Germany were in fact united, it's just that the land of Prussia was given to Poland (for obvious reasons). Also, England coughs up blood every 4th of July, is he dyeing too? New Prussia existed since BEFORE Prussia (the land) was dissolved.

I kinda agree to the East Germany Theory. I also kinda add a little bit of my own idea. That Prussia is still alive not only because he was East Germany and now Eastern Germany, but also because the Royal House of Prussia is alive, well and even acknowledged in Germany. At least, that's my opinion.
There might be a little... mistake in your Argumentation. West and east germany are United and there is no difference anymore. (I should know it, I grew up in both of them). There were big differences a long while ago, today you just cant see anything anymore. Just saying :)

Some Germans, such as myself, identify as Prussian as well depending on their lineage. I think it's because people still identify as Prussian and that is what gives him something to represent.Think about the REUNIFICATION of Germany when the Berlin Wall fell and the east and west were reunited; families were split up and it wasn't just like after the fact they all of a sudden said "oh I'm east german" or "oh I'm west german", everyone was just German (or anything else in their lineage). Just like how both Italy's are still just one country. Same kind of thing.

In my opinion the theory that says that he represents East German is the most accurate. Is just that maybe he and Germany (West) have a similar deal like the UK brothers where England represents them in international events and similar I think that the Italy brothers have the same type of agreement. He just decided to go by Prussia because is more awesome. Also off topic my theory is that Holy Roman Empire's body was used to create Germany. I remember that I saw that Germany wasn't born as baby but around his pre-teen years

Germany, Austria, other Germanic countries) 2) The free state of Prussia. It was a state of Germany after the kingdom was abolished in favor of a republic. 3) Parts of his territory were incorporated into Poland and the Soviet Union, the State of Prussia ceased to exist de facto in 1945.Prussia existed de Jude until its formal liquidation by the Allied control council Enactment No. 46 of 25 February 1947. 4) Today, Prussia is called the "Autonomous Kingdom of Prussia". It is a micronation with a small population, created in 2012. Much of its symbolism is derived from that of the old Kingdom of Prussia. 5) There are others, but my brain is tired as it is late. One of the reasons that Germany and Prussia call eachother "East" and "West" mostly comes down to interwar Germany between world war 1 and 2. As we all know, Germany was essentially stripped of territory that was to be given to poland and there was the formation of the polish corridor, splitting germany in two and making the country of Germany and the German state of what was known as "OstPreußen" or rather East Prussia. Only when Germany defeated the country of poland did the two finally connect again.

There are fan fiction of him being the Holocaust, and that since most people are always remembering the Holocaust and when Prussia was dissolved and taken to Russia and became Kaliningrad. People still remembered the Holocaust, and since he was dissolved by the time of the Holocaust. (I dunno, I just guessed ;P)

That just adds on to the idea that the states are personified at least to me. All of the states are very diverse, examples of this are: accents, culture, economy, race, past parents (Alaska, Hawaii, the portions Spain and France owned), and rolls (the Midwest is known for farming etc). I don't think it does because if you recall, Germanic States were separate and they passed on their traits to form Germany. If what you said is true about the states of the US, it would also have to be true for the states of Germany because everything you said is also true about the states of Germany. I know this is late but he’s still alive because of a technicality. Ernst Thalmann Island off the coast of Cuba was given to East Germany as a diplomatic gesture. Nobody lives there. It really is just a rock in the ocean but it was never claimed along with the rest of East Germany’s holdings so its technically still East German territory. In short, Prussia is so awesome that he figured out how to survive via a loophole in international law

Another thing to add to the east Germany theory and why Prussia could personify it even if it isn’t a country. Prussia first became a nation by personifying a religious group without any land or country, (they conquered old Baltic Prussia to gain land later) Prussia is a country who was created without land so I don’t think he needs to personify land to not disappear he just needs people to personify. He could personify east Germany’s people but not the land as it’s not s country, or still be personifying GDR and the people you mentioned to still identify with it, or be personifying Germans who still identify as Prussian that you mentioned.

HiMa papa just likes to mess with us😒🤔 Like the inconsistency of the personification's existence, aging rule of the different countries, the speed they grow up, the regions "inside" a nation should be designed as a body parts/accessories or an independent personification from nations, the death theory of the nation, did they just fall over and die like Grandpa Rome and Holy Rome, or they can still live on without nation status like Prussia and Nico Nico?! And I think the most important question of all, how were the personifications born? And what exactly are their existence meaning to their countries themselves (the place), to their bosses and their people? What's the benefits of their existence to their countries (the place), their bosses and their people? Still bunches of mysteries need to be answered!🙄
