In north India, we usually watch movies of south in Hindi dubbed. My whole family loved Dr Rajkumar or Puneeth sir movies. They didn’t knew much about him but I am in awe of this actor by his acting, simplicity, healthy role model for boys and men like us. When he passed away, I kept on watching his movies and cried so many times. I couldn’t believe that such a good actor is no more. You’ll be forever missed Puneeth sir. ❤ 😢

Another freakin manuvaadi sanghi agenda of using a famous godly personality to push dharma. How cheap can you guys get? Showing Shivaji, and that Sad guru in the process. Sad guru's wife died suspiciously and before his father in law could see the body, he buried her and said she took samadhi, I am waiting for the day he takes samadhi and does this world a huge favor. He even used Appu to market his rally for rivers, his this campaign and Soil campaign looted money and not an iota of improvement you see on the ground, and the shameless covertly sanghi run govt uses tax money to hand 100s of acres of land to him, and that sherry shamelessly hijacked a tribal custom of praying to nature and animals predating religions hands it to manuvaadis by calling boar as varaharoopam. Thats why I admire Dr. Rajkumar so much. He didn't simply pass on his stardom to his children but also passed on his simplicity, humble behavior, love and compassion for the people. After Appu's demise a Tamil director revealed that he used to donate the money which he earns from singing to an old age home in Tamil Nadu and it seems he as instructed not to reveal this to public. A person who is of god like nature only can be this generous.

I am generally not a fan of any actors and never really cry, but whenever it's APPU, I feel a huge void and get emotional! Logically, I don't have answers for this.Have seen strong men cry for APPU,for whom crying or getting emotionally low was never true even in their dreams. "There lived a great man who revolved around the sun for 46 times and left infinite reasons for the mankind to be good and do good." Rama is not a God because of his super humanly powers, but for the quality of the character he possessed even during the toughest of time. No doubt he will be celebrated for many generations! Appu sir never smoked and drank alcohol in movies and also in real life because they believed that it affects his fans and viewers. They never wanted to give miss information to his fans. As a star kid he got opportunities form his legendary acting. They honored by national award in very young age. As a star kid he always encouraged and supported new actors. Appu sir always proudly said that "Abhimanigale namma mane devru avrindane namm mane usiru" (Fans are our family God and we breathe due for them). Appu sir was first actor and star kid who was told that made song for tribute to his fans. And he also said that he was son of every home of Karnataka. As a son of Karnataka he always took strong actions for Kannada and Karnataka. The main reason why we treated him as God because he always treated us as a God.

Puneeth Rajkumar (17 March 1975 - 29 October 2021), colloquially known as Appu was an Indian actor, philanthropist, playback singer, television presenter and producer, who worked in Kannada cinema. He was the youngest son of actor and matinee idol Dr. Rajkumar. He was one of the most popular actors in Kannada cinema. He appeared as a lead in 32 films. As a child, he appeared in many films. His performances as a child actor in Vasantha Geetha (1980), Bhagyavantha (1981), Chalisuva Modagalu (1982), Eradu Nakshatragalu (1983), Bhakta Prahaladha (1983), Yarivanu (1984) and Bettada Hoovu (1985) were praised.[2] He won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his role of Ramu in Bettada Hoovu.[3] He also won Karnataka State Award Best Child artist for Chalisuva Modagalu and Eradu Nakshatragalu. Puneeth's first lead role was in 2002's Appu. In a career spanning three decades, he has won one National Film Award, four Karnataka State Film Awards, six Filmfare Awards South and five SIIMA awards. He was conferred with the Doctorate by Mysuru University. The Karnataka Government conferred the state's highest civilian award, Karnataka Ratna, to Puneeth Rajkumar on 1 November 2022, posthumously.[4]

Dr. Rajkumar was never interested in politics, but he was so much powerful till his death in karnataka, if he tells anything to follow thats all that is end , nobody will dare to question it or change it, even many chief ministers, politicians in karnataka are afraid, never dare to question, have great loves towards him and their family, Even after his death, so millions of people still adore Dr. Rajkumar, they will either kill other or die for Dr Rajkumar. Coming to his son, puneet rajkumar is very humble superstar like this father, lot of helping nature and kind hearted, no ego.
