i understand what you're getting at, but i don't agree with some parts and I'll explain. looking at everything soyeon has produced so far - before i never die - i don't see her missing the essentials of 17 year old soyeon. it's a fact, a 100% English rap is not her style, but as the queen herself said, it was a goal to make the music like that. and the only thing she wanted happened, she is "criticized" for her rap in tomboy (something that draws attention and with great references to the case of soojin) but that brings back the mv, doesn't it? so much so that it was a tremendous success. the album itself is loaded with powerful raps with an extremely smart message behind it. as she showed with "Beam Beam", she is not what people project on it her. she's just the soyeon who wants to do things her own way, while still being who she is. i like freedom that she dares, even if not everyone agrees. she is only doing, at the moment, what she likes. she is a badass and commented that she was afraid of the group's return. how scary it is to carry the dream of 4 other people on your back... i don't ask you to agree with everything i've read here, but wait a little longer and you'll see.

Soyoeon's origins were never wholly rap. She entered Produce 101 first, which was more of a singing competition. Obviously she could rap and then really made a name for herself on Unpretty Rapstar, but I think she is just genuinely somebody who loves performing. If you look at her interviews and what she does now, she basically produces 90% of (G)I-DLE's stuff, writes most of their lyrics, creates most of the concepts and has a part in creating the visual and stage design. She has a studio in her home where she wrote Tomboy and came up with the concept of Nxde. Her talent is in her vision mroe than anything IMO but despite that she does hold the record for the top 3 fastest raps amongst 'idols'.
I knew Soyeon wrote and produced most of (G-)Idle songs but as long as she is under CUBE, I refuse to consider she masterminded 100% of all the outputs. There must be inputs by the company too. Including the rap.
