Why is Star Wars Force Unleashed a Masterpiece?! 

What game should I do next?🤔

Force unleashed is truly canon to me I don’t care what Disney says.

Because it delivered what it promised. A kickass game with the Force.

This really is a Star wars god of war.

The fact this had George Lucas's blessing should be enough to keep this as canon.

Truly my favourite Star Wars game of all time, especially the PS2 (which may have worse graphics but it had more content than the PS3 version), it really made us feel like a very powerful Force user

Recently replayed both parts. I played them back in the PS3 era and even played the PS2 & Wii versions. As a Kid and teen I always found them to be awesome games and good, epic stories. But having recently gone back on PS5 and platinuming the first (the trials on part 2 are the reason I haven't platinumed it) I realized not just how good but how great this game is. I even met Mr. David W. Collins, aka Proxy and the sound editor of both games and had a very pleasant chat about both games with him. In today's era, Star Wars feels so lifeless and loveless, in the force Unleashed, the love and life for Star wars is alive and well, radiating in every aspect. As a side note, both games did not age too badly, infact in some instances, even the first part can look like a current age game graphics wise, even if just for a moment.

The guy from vader immortal is like weak starkiller. If you dont know he was trained by vader then stopped him from resurrecting padme, which made mustafar heal like in rise if skywalkee

To anyone saying Starkiller is too OP, his power is deliberately exaggerated to make for a more fun game. He's dialed back dramatically in the novelization, which was considered the official, canonical version of the game's events in the old EU.

Sam witwer is one of the best things to happen in all of starwars dude is very talented. We definitely need a force unleashed 3.

I like Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

I loved The Force Unleashed and still do to this very day. It's my favorite Star Wars story alongside Dark Empire and Dark Disciple. It had the better origin story to the Galactic Alliance. Plus Starkiller is just badass, I mean come on. Great story, great character and he's literally what Anakin might have been if Anakin wasn't crippled and lived to his full potential I remember coming across this game in 2009 I believe at my local library during a time when you could borrow video games at my library. It was a Saturday morning too, saw the game. Read the back and borrowed it for week. However soon as I got home, I played Force Unleashed ALL DAY until dinner in the evening. It was that good and captivating to me. I called it a day just before reaching the last level and then finished it off on Sunday morning Always come back to this game everynow and then on YT to see the story again. Never played its sequel but i know what its about. Now I'm waiting for the novelizations for this and Force Unleashed 2 since the novels always tend to go deeper than any Star Wars media to arrive after ordering the hardcover first edition copies Great job buddy

Man darth Vader in this game completely made me forget he was once anakin in the past kinda hard to explain it but Vader just felt separate from anakin. Like his own being.

Jedi: Survivor almost, ALMOST, made it to my top spot. But The Force Unleashed is still my favorite Star Wars game ever.

Bit of a Mary Sue plot, but there's nothing wrong with those every once in a while. And it's not bad at it either. TFU 2's implied fate for Juno and 'Starkiller' is the worst part of it, but it's still brilliant as a canon divergence plot. And Juno/Starkiller is just a sweet, sweet relationship. The cheat codes are well-designed too, they don't make the game unfun even when they make it easier.

I first played on the psp. That version is so goated. Wish we had a newer game this style. It will probably be better than sw outlaws.

I replayed recently and noticed it took some cues from Devil May Cry. Small things particularly the combat. Reminded me a bit of DMC1

PS2-Wii version is the best version of this game.

First it's not Disney (but both jedi games with cal kestis are also great because EA, fortunately for sw fans and gamers in general, only published it and got a lot of money (or wouldn't be EA), the development was made by respawn and they did a terrific work both times - the only reason survivor had all those glitches and tech problems was because of EA which forced the released of a game which was not yet ready to it, but there was nothing respawn could do so they're not to blame, just EA and all other with big pockets interests to see the game released even if it it's release would have cost the fans to disengage from the game; EA already made a mess with BF2... EA, Ubisoft, Rockstar and some other big logo brands are the less consumer reliable for a long time no without a doubt

No. Story & lead character sucked. Gameplay was mindless fun but the story and character felt like it was written as a middle school fanboy's bad fanfiction featuring his self-insert, edgelord power fantasy. Starkiller was a bland, lore breaking Gary Stu crowbarred into the OT saga & retconned as the inspiration for the rebel alliance, while upstaging iconic characters like Vader & the Emperor along the way. Hated it then & still hate it now. For me, getting rid of that story/character was literally the only silver lining of the Di$ney Wars era.

Sorry to rain on the nostalgia but no. It was a fun enough hack & slash but the story and the main character were always lore breaking garbage. I always hated it. Starkiller felt like a self-insert power fantasy edgelord written by a vapid 12 year old fanboy, which doesn't make for a very memorable or interesting character. There's nothing particularly interesting about him other than his power/skill, and even that is boring since it largely due to just being naturally gifted, more so than even Anakin was at his age. It all just felt like middle school fanfiction gone wild. "And then Vader kills this jedi after mowing down an army of wookies, and then this jedis son like force pulls Vader's saber out of his hands! And then like it'd be so cool if Vader made him a secret apprentice, he gets super strong and then beats Vader AND PALPATINE BACK TO BACK. Also he has a big wiener and gets a hot pilot gf and he's got a robot that can become other jedi and sith and is just as strong as them and and and". Facetiousness aside, Starkiller did indeed come across as little more than a fanfiction power fantasy who was needlessly shoehorned into OT's narrative, retroactively having a major influence on those events & upstaging iconic villains like Vader & Palpatine with his Gary Stu awesomeness for good measure. A bland, stupidly overpowered character who didn't need to exist & did nothing but undermine Star Wars lore & in particular, the lore of the original trilogy and its characters.

Lol. It's not. It's a garbage game from the dark times when all George cared about was the Clown Wars and did not care about the OT at all. That's why all those terrible story choices were made. Like some punk kid beating Vader and the Emperor..

idk if id call it a masterpiece, i wish their was more force powers for a start, like force slow or drain or ionize, kotor has made a lot of star wars game look lackluster through sheer variety
