Why is the Atonement necessary? Cleon Skousen spent seven years studying this question and shares his insights using scripture and some speculation/theory (as we don't fully understand how it all works) on the science of salvation. His commentary on the scriptures isn't meant to be official church doctrine about the Atonement but rather to inspire the listener to personally dive into the scriptures to better understand the Atonement of Jesus Christ and how to more fully experience its healing and enabling power in your own life (through repentance).
