Most car reviewers only scratch the surface with their first impressions, but this one took the time to thoroughly examine and review the vehicle in depth. More power to you, sir!
I honestly don't like how the interior looks. Ang daming shared parts. Tas ang exterior naman, not my style din. Mukhang kengkoy for me. Lastly, like sa sinabi sa video, doesn't look good on paper (specs). Hindi ko tlga toh cinonsider dati nung bibili pa lang ako ng sasakyan. Then one day, hinatid ko sa casa kotse ko for body repair. Nag book ako ng grab pauwi. Xpander cross sumundo sakin. I kid you not, nagsisi ako. 😂 Acceleration, decent enough para sa isang cheap mpv. Comfort, dito ako talagang natuwa. Maganda ride nya. Tas yung pinaka nagpasisi sakin. May cruise control! I live in a city where ang higpit nila sa speed limit and iba2x ang limit depende sa roads. Magagamit ko tlga yang cruise control na yan kung meron current sasakyan ko. 😂
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, all points taken and exactly why I chose xpander cross from vehicles on the same category. i like XC's compromises (4-speed, non CVT transmission, 17 inch wheels), also didn't want to drive oversized suvs with the narrow roads that we have plus the maintenance cost. happy and content owner here of silver blade XC 2023. great review and more power!
Cute nung toyota fan na nagbigay nang gawa gawang experience. I drove one of these Xpanders and right off the bat I’ve felt the “comfort”. I just thought driving it gives it more comfort but I was wrong, the middle seats are more comfortable compared to the cabin seats. In my honest opinion, the reason why they were and still are very popular to Filipinos are because, aside from the practicality, we are just tired of being offered by a boring looking car year by year. That’s also the reason why many jumped into buying and trying china-made cars. It is hard to digest but our country’s number 1 car manufacturer/brand (in terms of sales) just continue to give us the most boring design year after year. That being “pwede na” is no longer a buying factor.
Becasue it's good-looking 7-seater with almost PPV like looks, a lot of versatility, but the Mitsubishi CASAs go all out to make a sale. They have great rates, zero down, things like 100 days for 1st payment, and they throw a lot of freebies in with a deal. Honestly, I think it's more about the deal than the vehicle itself, that's why they sell a lot of them.
Yeah, marami pnoy car buyers naloko sa so called freebies na actually edinadagdag rin sa monthly amortizations. Most pnoy car buyers dont knew na double ang interes if direct ka s ahente compared to direct ka sa banks and bypass the ahente. Usually thru dealerahips sales agent interest is 51% for 5 years term while if you direct transact to the bank 25%.
@@jbangz2023 only the BRV VX has adaptive cruise control. Other rivals in the segment doesn't even have standard cruise control, the Xpander has even for its base GLX MT 😏
I bet it will be a huge volume seller in the Philippines. It's getting good reviews in Thailand. One recent review mentioned its drivetrain is like the one on Nissan Kicks where the electric motor drives the vehicle and the ice engine charge the battery. If it is true then it solves the lack of enough power issue for some potential buyers.
I own an Xpander Cross 2023 here in Indonesia and they add features such as CVT, 360 degrees camera setup, 9 inch central LCD infotainment system, phone wireless charging, auto central lock, and many others that we cannot find there in the Philippines. Despite it, I do understand how Mitsubishi chose the direction it made for the Xpander there in the Philippines since we, Filipinos like a very cool-looking vehicle, but at the same time not bankrupt us when the time comes for repairs and maintenance. I would say Mitsubishi did a wise decision to do that there in the Philippines, and I will also opt for the Xpander in case I plan to buy a vehicle there in the future for the same reasons such as it's cool, comfortable, practical, and reliable. Still, I hope Mitsubishi Philippines will consider a 2nd level where customers can still opt to get features such as here in Indonesia or maintain the current setup. And btw, a hybrid version is coming out soon here in Indonesia.
It is a Mitsu, Filipinos love this brand. Low tech, cheap to build and profitable to sell. So in the likes of Mirage G4, Adventure, Lancer and L300, expect Xpander will have long staying power even if Mitsu stops updating it. Since it is selling, Mitsu need not provide much more. Glad the marque did not. It is even building another nameplate (XForce) over the same platform. I agree that the Xpander's selling point are the updated modern looks, high ground clearance and acceptable tech inclusions.
High ground clearance at very fuel efficient base sa usapan sa expander fb groups. But ayun na naglabas na ang toyota ng veloz can challenge xpander sales
XP Cross was our 1st choice for an upgrade from Mirage G4 but end up buying SGX after watching comparison reviews on both vehicles. Love the exterior design though.
I love the looks of the xpander Cross, it looks pretty cool specially the front view but i hope that manufacturer will add special options that people will also feel special when they're driving this vehicle... like having a 360 camera and panoramic view will add in your daily excitement while driving.. Hope one day when I get back in Philippines for Good , that kind of options will be added and will be another options for the customers like me..well it can cost you more but atleast you will enjoy because you get what you looking for ... Good Luck Xpander Cross.. keep it up
the conventional AT turns out the best AT in the market, cvt are disposable specially on this segment of car where a family man has the possibility to keep this for on 6 digits odometer.
It is not a wonder, in the world of buy & sell, you have to make your brand cheap enough to get into the market. because once you have the product, you are trapped and mitsubishi knows the "damay-damay" character of a person. at magiging word-of-mouth na kasi kaugalian na natin na hindi ipakita ang pagkadismaya lalo na sa kotse. bumili ako ng montero dahil napa-bilib ako sa kabarkada ko sa ganda at galing ng montero---UNTIL nag-sudden-acceleration ang montero. 😮 nagagandahan ako sa mitsubishi but i am never buying one of their "cars".😮 kung gaano kaganda ang mitsubishi ung din kapangit galawan ng top rank nila. Being the No.1 popular selling brand never equated to being a "reliable brand" ✌️✌️
If im not mistaken, 2025 Xpander Cross Hybrid is already out in Thailand. And it packs a new 1.6L engine aside from added electric motors that produces 116 hp and 255 nm of Torque
Rear drum brakes over rear disc brakes is in no way an advantage sir! There is no comparison between savings vs occupant safety so the drum brakes don't win out here.
Once again a great review Reygan. I subscribed to you way back in 2019 because you still are one of the VERY FEW English speaking Car Reviewers in the Philippines. I just got back to the States after 6 years in Manila BUT i still watch you, and enjoy your wonderfully edited videos which have gotten such a great boost in quality these past few years. Honestly, if you came here to the USA you would be right at home with some of the best here, Everyday Driver, Smoking Tire, etc. Keep up the great work and of course when I decide to move back to the Philippines, and go buy a new car again, I'll definitely be ready with information thanks to you and your very HELPFUL ENGLISH reviews. A++ Now as for the Xpander is concerned, I believe this could actually have a home here in the USA, under 25K USD fully loaded, would be a great bargain compared to the Honda Odyssey and Chrysler Town and Country. Fuel Efficient as well, with conversion here it would be in the 29/34MPG city/hwy range. It's unfortunate Mistubishi only sells the G4 and Outlander in the United States.
While the US market needs a affordable MPV like this thy wont get it because a)Mitsubishi is pulling back on anything thats not a SUV/Crossover and it has only 2 airbags and no ADAS which will give NHTSA heart failure.
I believe other than the looks and low maintenance, another reason why Filipinos buys the Xpander is because of the price. Mitsubishi gives very big discounts on the Xpander. Right now, you can buy the Cross with a ₱179,000 discount. Compared to other top of the line variants from other brands, the Cross cost lower.
I would like to see this car loaded with 5 people to simulate the vacation long drive and tell us the performance... I'm guessing it's gonna be different. Different in fact it won't go up hilly roads.
Car review featuring the 5th generation Hyundai Santa Fe. The Calligraphy is the only variant that has Smartstream G2.5T under the hood and standard HTRAC AWD system, distinguishing it from the GLS variant although it has an optional AWD.
Who looks for speed in an MPV... what you are supposed to be looking for are comfort, features & tech tas practicality , maybe looks din if that'sa big deal rin sayo. If you want speed then maling segment ka parekoy
Cya lang sa ang 2 airbags, low monthly promo and so called discounts edinadagdag rin yan sa monthly amortization unless cash pagbili. So called sales agent promo 51% interest nyan 5 years, pag direkta ka sa bank mag car loan at di na dumaan ahente sa dealerships - 25% lang interest 5 years.
The Xpander Cross is the MPV for the man that cant live with the fact he has to drive a minivan. While it has less tech than the Stargazer, it wont remind you every time you look at it (especially from the side) that youre dead inside.
