Papua New Guinea and Indonesia are only few hundred kms away from Solomon Islands have raised no security concern. Japan and Australia sitting at more than 2000 to 4000 kms away have. May be it's just a coincidence that both are major vassal states of the US Regime.

Australia AUKUS pact never consulted the Solomons and done secretly, why Solomons should tell Australia about their Chinese pact...

Sri Lanka's foreign debt is $51 billion. 10% owed to China, 10% owed to Japan, 9% owed to IMF, 47% owed to global market financial institutions. So why only China is a debt trap? Not Japan, IMF, Global banks? I always thought that Indians are good at math.

India has every right to show its concerns over neighboring countries like Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh. But commenting on Solomon Islands' security requirement for Australia and the US, it's a too far-reaching as well.

NATO is an open organisation and any country including Ukraine can join it if they so choose. But Solomon Islands joinning with China is a problem to the west?

The Chinese are doing so much in the world and we Indians are fighting amongst ourselves over issues which should be non issues but are made into big issues!

It's a kind of refreshing change to see US & allies are being put on a reactive defensive stance ... 😀😀😀!!!

The US: “Ukraine is a sovereign country. It is its right to join NATO if it wants to.” The US: “Solomon Island signing a comprehensive security pact with China is a red line. We wont rule out military action if China establishes a military base in the island.”

You left out an important factor while getting one backward.

l previously thought this channel had some credibility. By helping to spread the US propaganda just screwed up your credibility. Repeating the Hambantota port issue as example of debt trap just show how dubious your motives are. l'm sure this person with his knowledge knows the truth but prefers wilful distortion of facts.

Indians in overseas are doing so well. The good and wise in India is fleeing in droves to overseas. Instead of copying UK n US foreign policies, India can achieve so much if they focus in developing their ppl n country. India gain nothing from making an enemy of her neighbour. History has proven that.

So according to the fellow in this video, it is ok when the Maldive government is friendly towards India and the QUAD countries......and it is terrible when the Maldive government turn towards China for help to develop their infrastructure and economy. So what happens to the sovereignty of a country to decide what is good for itself ?
