You can bet they will have tons of troops there after the November POTUS election to deal with any "civil unrest, aka demonstrations. It isn't about the amount of votes each candidate receives , it's currently how/who the votes are tallied that decides the winner.

my ex-fiance' (whom i have huge, huge respect for) was a firefighter (now retired). we went to the yearly Fallen Firefighter Memorial in colorado springs. at the end of the service a single bagpiper walks away alone, playing his pipes. It's been over 10 yrs since I attended and it had such an impact on me that I'm crying as I write this. Shame on every elected politician who was in Washington this day and didn't show up for these fallen men. Thank you for sharing this memorial with us.

Well if protestors damage fences and rare marble and stone it will cost way more to repair it. So they are actually saving money by keeping the people away. Back in the 1900s people had respect and would protest even in the millions of people but would never damage public property but these days people have such low morals they think its OK look at the trash in the streets and graffiti on stuff. Technically, this guy’s e-bike is prohibited on these trails because it is considered motor-operated. If you’re too lazy to pedal, drive a car.
