My boss has one on his g45 and I shot it side by side in our range and honestly it’s not worth the price tag imo but it does do something for sure, but nothing crazy.
@@CatastrophicMalfunction I agree 100%. I’ve recently jumped on the compensator train and man do I love it. I have the radian afterburner on my edc gen5 19 mos and a killer Innovations velocity comp on my 19x. They both compliment my guns so well. I’m think king of running a third g19 build with either the Strike industries comp or the Arc Divisions compensated barrel and slide combo.
@@gmadgengarage the only thing you gotta be careful of with some comps is that some of them require you to tune them using different spring weights to run reliably
The EPS looks great directly milled. I love that you can use stock-height sights with it. What moa dot do you have on yours? I'm trying to decide between the 2 moa and 6 moa dot but my lgs only had the 2 moa version for me to look at.
I’m running the 6 MOA dot on mine. I love how mine has been so far. The shake awake feature is awesome. When I first started buying optics, I was unwilling to buy non-American products. But Holosun definitely has some awesome options now that are reliable and much cheaper than most of the American pistol optics.
@@CatastrophicMalfunction 100%. I can't see myself buying trijicon's new closed emitter dot when the eps is only half the cost with more features and similar performance. Not to mention how reliable Holosun has proven to be based on Sage Dynamic's reviews. I definitely think a 6 moa dot is better than a 2 moa dot for self-defense distance but I'm not sure how bad the bloom would be with my astigmatism.
Deff go with 2 moa bro. I have both the 407k and eps MRS. 6 moa is good for close up but you want a smaller dot for longer shots. If your worried its too small it can get bright enough so it looks bigger than it actually is. Thank me later 👍
@@ronnguyen8287 Just the Holosun sus, not the fine craftsmanship of the slide work. I know, I know, they are very popular now, but I'm a Trijicon mark.
@@CatastrophicMalfunction Made in China for a discount price is sus. I know they are popular with Guntubers and tons of people use them everyday but for me, I'll go with Trijicon. Things work until they don't, things are popular until their not. Just my opinion.
I never had any issues with my stock RSS. I just wanted to tune it to make it perfect. With the radian, you really don’t need to have their recoil assembly in my experience.
I would ask the manufacturer of the slide. Or if you want to just send it, stick with a Gen 3. There’s probably gonna be a bit of an ugly gap but you’re better off buying the right thing the first time.
Connecticut has a similar problem. There are other options out there though. The only reason the Radian is a big deal, is because it's on one of the most popular guns of all time.
The Glock 19 was adopted by special operations because they couldn't adopt another full size pistol do to the fact they already had the Baretta in service and I guess the brass thought one full size gun was enough. The glock 19 was a compromise.
Special Forces use the G19 because they had to justify a smaller profile pistol other than the Sig M17 or M18, among other reasons/justifications...or so I've read.
If you're going China with the Holosun EPS, why not also get much more bang for the buck going with Olight for the light? Have a 1,500 lumen Valkrie PL-Pro found on sale from GovX for less than a bill.
I prefer not to use Chinese stuff but Holosun has been pretty good. Lots of law enforcement are using Holosun. I’m sure there are law enforcement using Olight but the majority of them are using Streamlight and Surefire.
Other compensators on the market generally require you to change recoil springs to make it run reliably. The Radian Afterburner and Ramjet system was designed to be used with stock parts and basically any kind of ammo you put through it. I trust it and use it for carry purposes, and I would use it for duty use as well if I had the option in an LE or Military setting.
@@CatastrophicMalfunction okay thank you, I have a g19 with an x300 and I just ordered a sidecar, but i didnt choose the cover threaded barrel option, will it stick out if its an x300?
@@sergiodelgado7768 there’s a good chance it will even with an X300. If it was a G17 holster or you had checked the “threaded barrel” option than it wouldn’t have. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I’ve never been burned from the comp on the range, maybe a little warm but that’s all.
What makes it overpriced? Name a single weapon light that has similar specs and durability for a better price, because nothing really has the performance for the price as the x300 turbo. The only thing that comes close is the Modlite which is priced almost exactly the same.
With all the bells and whistle’s you’re probably still a mediocre shooter. Light looks stupid going out further past the barrel. On your next video stop say uh uh uh umm .
Don’t post a comment if you’re gonna make dumb assumptions about my skill just because I use a compensator. Why would I not use something that gives me an advantage and doesn’t compromise reliability of the firearm?
The light isn’t there for looks genius. it’s a tool on a weapon to help make it more effective. Maybe if you were a bit brighter you’d know a longer light helps keep a handgun in battery if you ever need to press it against somebody/something. Do better research and just keep your mouth shut before you make yourself sound like a complete clown again couch operator
So I have shot a gen 4 g19 with the finger grooves and they suck that top notch lands right in the middle of my finger, I have seen some people Dremal out some of the trigger guard to help with that issue.
A light sticking out past isn't a bad thing especially if you are in a cqb situation it keeps the slide from coming out of battery when it's pushed up against something and the comp will help keep the light clean and all the bells and whistles just help with faster follow up shots and to get back on target faster.
