Why is this sand so WHITE? - Science by Ashley 

I traveled to Hyams Beach at Jervis Bay to see some of the WHITEST SAND in the WORLD!

While there are now beaches that have beaten out Hyams Beach for the title of "Whitest Sand in the World" (ie Lucky Bay, WA and Whitehaven Beach, QLD), I was still curious to explore and snorkel at this beach and learn just what makes it so white!

Newest additions to my travel bucket list will be the pink sand beaches of Bermuda and the black and green sand beaches of Hawaii.
