Teachers in Brazil suffers a lot of difficulties in teaching evolution. Education is long overdue, because we do not really initiate secularism. I work so that one day our teachers can teach and qualify in SCIENCES. TIES is an example to follow. Congratulations!
Lovely. Here in Albania, parents are not that fanatic, neither are teachers. My biology teacher is a christian, but she explained evolution with passion.
SHOW YOUR TEACHER THIS. RICHARD DAWKINS PACT IT UP. I JUST HAD CATARACT SURGURY DONE OF MY RIGHT EYE. A WEEK BEFORE THE SURGURY, I HAD MY EYES CHECK TO RENEW MY LICENSE WHICH I BARELY PASSED. THE DOCTOR RECOMMENDED I SHOULD REPLACE THE LENS. WHEN THE DOCTOR DIALATED MY EYES EVERYTHING WAS MAGNIFIED SO MUCH I WAS ABLE TO SEE TO MUCH DETAIL, MUSTACHE HAIR ON WOMEN'S FACE AND ARMS. OLDER PEOPLE LOOKED MUCH OLDER AND WRINKLED. SKINNY WOMEN WHO WERE NORMALLY GORGEOUS, YOU WERE ABLE TO SEE THE INPERPECTIONS ON THERE SKIN AND CELLULITE WRINKLE ON THERE LEGS WHICH YOU NORMALLY WOULD NOT SEE. IT HAS BEEN A WEEK NOW AND MY RIGHT EYE PUPIL IS STILL DIALATED. I WENT TO MY FRIENDS PARTY YESTERDAY AND THROUGH THE PRESCRIBED TEMPORARY SUN GLASSES. I SAW EVERY DETAIL EVEN THOSE WHO WERE DRINKERS, I WAS ABLE TO SEE THE PORES NOT ONLY ON THEIR FACES, BUT ON THEIR NOSES LIKE THE ACTOR CW FIELDS. THIS BROUGHT ME TO THE QUICK CONCLUSION WITHOUT A DOUBT A MASTER OF DESIGN WAS INVOLVED IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE HUMAN BODY. THE CREATOR HAD TO PERFECTLY FOCUS THE EYE LENS TO ONLY SEE WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO SEE, WHICH LETS US SEE THE BEAUTY OF LIFE. WE ARE NOT MEANT TO SEE ANY THING MORE THAN THAT, LIKE A MICROSCOPE WHICH CAN SEE THE PORES ON THE SKIN WHICH GOD PUT THERE THAT SERVE THE FUNCTION OF PERSPERATION. IT HAS BEEN A WEEK NOW AND MY PUPILS ARE STILL DIALAITED. I CAN SEE ALL THE DETAILS AND SURFACE SCRATCHES IN GLASS AND MANY OTHER SURFACES EVEN CRACKS IN THE ROAD. NOTHING LOOKS RIGHT BECAUSE THEY EYES ARE OVER FOCUSED. SO TELL ME RICHARD DAWKINS. HOW DID EVOLUTION WHICH HAS NO ENGINE OF INTELLEGENCE DRIVING IT PERFECTLY FOCUS THE EYES LENS. TO SEE WHAT IS SUPPOSE TO BE SEEN AND NOT MORE WHICH MAINTAINS THE BEAUTY OF LIFE. FACE THE FACT MR. The big problem isn't the teachers that skip the subject. The bigger problem is the teachers that "teach" the subject without knowing the first thing about it. The southern teachers that still think "If we came from monkeys, then why are there still monkeys?". I think that certification is the best remedy for that.
That's because you don't need to know it. At BEST biology is an introduction to the field that 99% of kids will never think about again in their lives. In what way will knowledge of evolution (at the HS level) help the average Texas student prepare for a career or even make them a better citizen?
+Ace these kids can't tell you what they are. They know nothing. The schools are total shit. I've met kids with PHDs who know nothing about Greece or Rome! They have never been taught this stuff. They know nothing about their own history, even American history! These can't read or write, they cannot do math and you are worried about evolution? Give me a fucking break!
Kids with PhDs know nothing about history, can’t read or write and cannot do math? I find that extremely hard to believe. I’m sure knowledge of history would aid them immensely in their studies of biology, for instance.
