So not only are you now competing with people who shouldn’t even be here. But theoretically the guy driving the car or scooter next to you could even be using YOUR identity!! Weve reached a two tier legal system. One for American citizens who play by the rules. And those who cheat and could be illegal as well. And who is it that they throw the book at should they run afoul of the law? We all know the answer to that one. We get all the responsibility with no authority. They get the authority with no responsibility. Make it make sense!

What these companies do is absolutely criminal like allowing tip baiting, accepting and sending $2 orders to drivers, sending an order for $5 and the driver declines it and they send the same offer again now offering $5.50 or $6.00. Also allowing customers to place orders from 15-25 miles away is absolutely insanity amd makes no sense. Last but not least this is what totally pisses me off, deactiviating a driver and keeping there wages that they worked for. What reputable company in this world fires an employee and keeps there paycheck? For all these reasons I quit working for these slugs and leaches of the world these gig companies are tital parasites nothing more!

I had a Russian who spoke no English deliver to me. They had a note ( DD) on the order that said he spoke no English. I was uneasy with this. I am not prejudiced in any way at all. But I do not want them to send people to my home that may be questionable. I do not feel any longer that DD cares about the customer.

I have given up on food deliveries. But here in Boston as a side gig Rideshare is not bad I ave $34 active Hour driving , I get surge now and then on Uber. I have yet to driver for Lyft ( I am approved) which has scheduled rides,I have checked them out now and then and found most are at least $2 a mile , at least $8.20 for 15 minutes, over $10 for 20 minutes, over $15 for 30 minutes. Not sure what offers people see in other markets for scheduled rides. Massachusetts has a State wide Min wage of $32.50 per active hour for Uber/Lyft drivers

I could care less about what others do. I’m making $25+ per hour in the Phoenix market driving 4:30-8am and 2:30-6pm if I’m game I’ll make another $25+ on DD or UE 6-7:30pm I’m home for a reasonable dinner and not doing the overnight drunk/drug fest.

I stopped shopping for Shipt bcuz of this. I would see shoppers with 2-3 phones then 3-4 phones. I only got terrible orders… now it’s common on several platforms. People with fake accounts don’t have to worry about being late, low ratings, and being deactivated bcuz they can get another account or throw away their phones like they do at the airports. Plus this is not safe at all for the customers or legit shoppers who may confront them.

I take it you are taking food delivery as it is easy to set up an account so easy to set up fake account . just claim you delivering by bike and prove you are atleast 16. Rideshare is different Uber requires that you have a valid drivers license and had it for at least one year you need to show that the car is leagl and has an extra inspection (At least here in Boston) I had to up load past drivers license to get approved as my current one was just renewed even though I have been licensed for over 40 years. BTW Local Police are aware of illegal motor scooters here in the greater Boston area breaking road laws and without insurance and registration. in Sept there were major efforts to get them off the road over 100 motor scooters were impounded in two cities (Brockton and Boston combined total) as a result . While there are still scooters out there doing food deliveries running red lights riding down sidewalks there are fewer and you don;t see them without registration plates every where like before this crack down.

6 years doing doordash and in the last 4 months my income has dropped by nearly 40% wow I am watching all these Armenian and tajick drivers who just appear out of nowhere taking every delivery. And for drivers like myself who use electric bicycles is even worse because they changed their apps to bicycles and get all your deliveries

i am without any doubt it was an insider that hacked my Uber acct when i was a new driver. they were actually able to temporarily deactivate me and then pose as Uber support to ge me back on by stealing info. they did get me back on after about 2 hrs off. Caucasian NY accent

I’ve called spark and they told me corporate lets individual stores decide if they want to ID drivers. I’ve told managers at my stores about the problem and they refuse to ID drivers. I also reached out to Sam’s Club, I still need to follow up, but it’s been two weeks and the store I used to deliver for still doesn’t ID

I JUST GOT SCAMMED BY LYFT AGAIN THIS IS HAPPENING EVERY SINGLE DAY. Passengers not showing up for their scheduled rides is becoming way too common. I just drove to the border of Arizona to pick up a passenger who had a fake address and it just put me out of business for the rest of the day. Please suggest to lift that drivers should be able to call and confirm Scheduled rides before we arrive to pick them up and if they do not answer to confirm, we should be able to cancel without being punished. 50% of the schedule rides are no-shows and it is a complete waste of time and money that does not pay us for. The passenger gets to stay on the platform and the driver takes the hit whether we lose money or get deactivated for canceling.

Why are we calling these “illegal” accounts?? What makes them illegal and what laws are they breaking?? If it’s truly illegal, then we should be getting law enforcement involved. Not being vigilantes in hopes of stopping this. Which imo the practice will never stop with just a RU-vid video or two.

In Fresno CA, can confirm big earnings cut in less than a year. Seen the middle eastern prius boys increasing in population. Just the other day a passenger exlaimed to me "oh thank God you speak English." This city has turned into a third-world country.
