@@Seivooo She's much less of a problem than before. Pre-nerf Jett was pretty much a must-pick on every map while nowadays she has become more of a versatile pick and can be replaceable in some niche comps.

I think she still is in the meta when it comes to most maps as a niche pick or a solo controller on haven I think she isn’t meta currently due to the double wall meta harbour viper Skye etc which dominates most maps

It has better flexibility but retakes with harbor viper are kinda unmatched to where nrg were Able to play 0 players c site and have a 100% retake percentage

@@phantomfox6020they were able to play retake mostly because liquid only had 1 controller so they didn’t have enough smokes to take the site and then hold it. If nrg was playing full retake into double controller it wouldn’t work nearly as many times. There was also 1 round where TL lost because redgar left a gap in his smoke

Jett can still use some nerfs tho. Such as nerfing the duration of her Smokes (it's kind of wild you can get half a defuse with one smoke) or even give her one smoke (I prefer the former) and honestly Knives should be on a timer just like how every single Duelist ult is on a Timer except hers. Viper, I am unsure on how you can nerf anymore since the fuel change seems fitting and you can def see it. Only thing would be MAYBE (and I am not saying I want this) is lower how far the wall can go? Idk, Viper seems pretty fine balance wise but she is really good inw hat she does. The alternative is buff the other controllers and sentinels to counter he which isn't a bad idea.

it’s important to remember how drastically different ranked is from pro play. in many cases and in many elos, it’s better tho just try to run it down rather than slowly default for map control

the smokes arent rlly the problem anymore tbh. its the value she brings just from being able to lurk on attack and hold down sites on defense thats the problem, and no matter how much you nerf her its still gonna be the same

@@candice0981 if you nerf the max fuel it will make her timings to lurk tighter and it will also make her less good at holding sites on defense. The example shown on the video where the viper wall on A was just applying insane pressure, part of it is due to the uptime of the wall. There was a round where 4 ppl snuck through A short where they wouldn’t have been able to do it if the wall didn’t last for so long. Viper is helped tremendously by a second controller though, but i feel like double controller isn’t nearly as oppressive if viper isn’t one of the controllers

I agree I don't think she needs nerfs (and I am saying this as someone who never plays Viper it just seems the nerfed her kit to the point of fine right now) but I'd say now they have to go about buffing other Controllers/Sentinels to counter her.

@@funkycrawler619 I don't think you can touch viper by changing other characters. I believe in that sense that the issue with viper is she's too unique. And when they tried making Harbor to replace her, they failed because viper being a wall smoker isn't what made her special, it was the fuel bar.

@@emosti9652 I disagree that changing other characters can affect Viper. Skye rose to more prominence following Harbor buffs and Fade/Sova nerfs. Buffing some counters to Viper, in this situation probably Sentinels (which the entire class is a mess on its own) or other Controllers would affect Viper in that she wouldn't be as needed if other alternatives are available. I agree that her Fuel is unique but the ONLY wall Smoker prior to Harbor also was a factor.
