As someone who knew Mira, this entire drama is hilarious and I thank you for making this video. He was an asshole to me, after all these years, I finally got revenge and it happened because of his own actions, infact, if you go on his twitter, he's still engaging in drama to this day. I worry though and I want him to stop this pattern of abusive and downright cowardly behaviour, because you're not his first victim, he does this with a lot of people. Start drama -> It backfires -> Paints himself as victim -> hide and pretend it didn't happen -> repeat. He has a large superiority complex. I hope he can learn from this.

I’ve actually ran into the guy in this video in TF2 on two separate ocassions. He’s not a tacobot or a cheater or anything but he is an obnoxious twit who whines about losing and blames the rest of the team when he nearly bottom scores. The guy critiquing your shit speaks like a Reddit mod, he likes to throw out a lot of big words and repeats the same word over and over. Especially hi-fidelity which is a reference to audio, not the quality of textures. He even called the M4 an AR15, though a small error it's an easy one to figure out with a simple Google search considering one is for the military and the other is for civilains. His critiques and research is lazy which really fits the Reddit mod title, everything he's calling out he could simply play the same modpack or have asked you for the files to play it himself to reproduce the same things you did to see if it was true or not. Lazy research, probably just wanted to capitalize on your popularity and wanted to double down on his beliefs because he's in too deep.

Some people don't get that some modpacks aren't that much of personal project to be offended by criticism. Yes, creators put effort in them, even in this one, there is some effort made. But it doesn't mean that it's enough to not get criticism, instead, it should be criticized. This is how creators grow, they do silly stuff and get response to it. Noone can do best mod in existence as their first one. So if you are creating mods, or doing maps or something, you should know that criticism IS required for you, and thankly you will get it no matter how good project or aspect of it is. Let's say you don't have control over things people say, but you have absolute control over how to react to it. And yeah, just in case somebody wouldn't get it, I don't mean that people should write hate comments on mods, this is not criticism

The reason why a lot of maps became so flatly lit is because who ever recompiled the maps, used way too high numbers for the light sources. In half life if you go too bright it won't actually be brighter just more flat. So you are suppose to use low numbers, to have better contrast between dark and light which is in return prettier. It also matters what textures you are using bright textures will scatter more light, there for more flatness.

As a gldsource and a source modder i can definitely say that purple checker board textures is not exclusive to source engine because checker board textures not even valve's it's from quake engine but in quake you had grey checker board textures when textures is missing

also, the hd model pack just has the guns work incorrectly from a logical standpoint. the normal models make sense because mp5 and glock take from the same ammo pool, which is accurate to real life. an ar-15 and a beretta m9 use different ammo irl but they still take from the same ammo pool. so yes, it IS objectively worse.

@@Nombrenooriginal Whether or not you like how the HD models look aesthetically IS subjective. But in this comment they're talking about an objective lack of realism with the HD models. In HL1, both the MP5 and the Glock-17 use ammo from the same pool. This is correct. Both guns use a 9mm bullet caliber IRL. However, if you turn on the HD models, the MP5 turns into a Colt Model 727 carbine, which uses 5.56 NATO rounds, and the Glock-17 turns into a Beretta M9, which uses 9mm bullets, like the original Glock. This creates an inconsistency, since both of these guns still take ammo from the same pool in-game, even if they don't use the same caliber IRL. It IS objectively worse in terms of realism.

If you like the HD models that's alright but they're just not realistic in that aspect, thus making them objectively "worse" than the LD models in at least that way. He said that they were objectively worse because of the ammo pool and you said that it's subjective. It's not subjective, it's true that they're simply less realistic than the LD models in the ammo aspect. I was just correcting you.

Hi, I use guns a lot. It is actually MORE Common to have Grenade launchers on Lighter weapons than heavier ones. So, an AR-15 is more likely than a MK48, where an Mp5 is more common than an AR-15. This excludes things without long enough barrels or reasonable capability (Like Revolvers or Colibris)
