After the DW anchor was comprehensively educated by Daniel Levy, the next question should be: Why isn’t Deutsche Welle changing course on Gaza after 11 months of manufacturing consent for genocide?
This focus on Netanyahu assumes that a different PM would be acting differently, but what would a different PM actually do? The most popular alternative, Naftali Bennett, claims that Netanyahu uses the IDF at only 5% intensity in Gaza, when it should be used at 200%.
Hello DW Team, a suggestion and the explanation for it: The reason why the Israeli government and military still go on untouched and the efforts of half the world of sane people to stop the massacres don't succeed yet, might be because the narrative is made from the 7th October Incident. What might help all of us and the future of us on this planet too in moral terms - is to effectively update education on the case, that it did not start on 7th October. The massacres started 1948 ! - with the first forced displacement of then 700.000 Palestinians from their land, cities, businesses, and farms, with the first severe deadly actions taken by Israeli militias. This was the start and has since been ongoing. Extremist organisations like Hamas were only founded 40 years into the history of massacring Palestinian people in Palestine, and gained a foothold in the long besieged and repeatedly bombed Gaza strip only after 60 years of massacres on Palestinian people in Palestine: in 2006. Could it be worth putting out more educational updates on this matter concerning this documented history and fact - and the blunt logic that after decades of massacres and heavy military repression, there might not be expected much more than extremists filling the vacuum that the failed attempts of the Two State solution and other efforts have left + leaving Palestinians in Palestine to this day with no protection of their lives, as we can see. Education update for the world, is that maybe what we can do as people of media and far away from any other influence on this horrifically derailed act and portrait of humanity? - ?
If Philadelphia corridor have no significance, Netanyahu is just crazy, where did Amas get all the weapons they used to attack Israel? This guy is crazy, so called analyst🙄
That's is because channel like DW continue to back what ever decisions, He makes. And refuse to call esrli crimes what it is. but has no problem labeling Palestenian resistance as the worst crimes ever.
I sure will not read a research from this last guy, he really doesn't seem to make a lot of sense. If he biased just make it know you have an already made position and stop portraying yourself as an academic who is looking at things neutrally.
Appropriate that the guy from the Moshe Dayan Centre should deliver such a one-eyed analysis. Why listen to Harel Chorev when you can learn from Daniel Levy?
hamas has set things up so that any attack on them will kill enough civilians that they will get more recruits than they lost. netanyahu has seen a flaw in their plan that only a monster could use: if there are no civilians left to recruit, hamas cannot recover. with hamas and netanyahu both refusing to change their positions, it will take a miracle to find a solution that won't turn the stomach of anyone with a shred of decency.
Your theory doesn't seem to fit the facts. Even using Hms' bogus numbers, which deliberately confuse combatants and civilians, the IDF has left 98% of the Gazan people alive after 11 months of war, in spite of easily being able to kill all of them. If you claim that their intent is really to exterminate the whole population, how can you possibly explain their restraint so far?
The ratio of civilians to combatants is actually pretty low for urban warfare. Most people talking about this - simply don't know the realities of combat.
They are barking for Netanyahu to surrender to Amas 🙄. It's not a surprise Amas reject a deal that allows Israel to remain in Philadelphia corridor but it's a surprise for Netanyahu to reject a deal that tells them to leave Philadelphia corridor? They understand Amas but not Netanyahu? Nonsense.
Unlike western liberals - Netanyahu has to deal with reality. The reality is that ham as have made it very clear they will never make peace with Israel under any conditions. "We will do 7th October again, and again, and again, until Israel is gone" - to quote a ham as leader.
The UN could've had greater influence over the crisis and the response. But on Oct 24th 2023, Gutierrez made an awful insulting speech in which, mare days after the Oct 7 attacks, he found it necessary to blame Israel for the attack. Netanyahu since the didn't speak with Gutierrez, won't answer the phone. The Israeli diplomats are not engaging with the UN. One has to wonder, for the sake of peace, for the sake of saving life. Couldn't the UN apologize for the timing of the accusations? For the wording? They sabotaged their own efforts for the sake of pandering. Gutierrez shoukd resign after this war.
