Why it matters that Phillip Green dodged my questions in Monaco

When the Guardian's Rupert Neate discovered last week that retail empire Arcadia had been plunged into a cash crisis he immediately wrote to Green asking what assurances had been offered to the 19,000 people who work for him. There was no reply from his spokesman.
So, Neate decided to try and track him down and ask him in person. He found Green in Monaco, preparing to host a Grand Prix party aboard his superyacht Lionheart.

I don't think that's true of Mike Ashley. I think he is genuinely determined to save the high street. You're absolutely right about Phillip Green though.

Sounds like he's up to his old tricks! Anyone remember BHS? He bought British Home Stores, moved their cash reserves into his other failing companies then saddled BHS with all his own companies debts while also raiding their pension pot. We all know what happened to BHS - went into administration ultimately closing down in 2016 after being on the UK high street for over 88 years.

Of course he’s pulling all his cash out before Brexit, that was the plan all along...wasn’t it? ;) Brexit is the equivalent of short selling a country rather than stock.

this is a reason why so many do not invest in pension plans many have lost out and many will not receive anything like they had hoped and its all legal and he still has his knighthood

It's really easy to understand tax avoidance. Just imagine, if you don't have a million pounds. And you have a million pounds, and the powers that be want 40% if it. Simply because, well that's life. What.......!!??.......youre not going to look into paying 1% by some unethical monetary positioning?! No, course you're not.

I looked in Top Shop and it was all clothes for teenagers, and with people getting bigger, they didn't do over a size 16. I think Primark is more popular, as even though it isn't as cheap as it used to be with Tories increasing VAT, it's still fairly cheap and they do larger sizes.

The Yacht was moved because of the upcoming Grand Prix at the end of May. Your story is highly superficial and inaccurate as you don't have the facts. Don't underestimate Phillip and don't underestimate his prowess in business while you overestimate his personal gains.
