However ..what I saw in 95% of all my congregations for decades and among 90% of ALL the Christian churches and communities, including all my friends and pastor friends and family members was “what’s in it for them”. In fact, the more I looked into it, the more I saw that Christianity, and in particular modern Christianity, preaches a selfish message catered to that and everything that we do and did catered to that and to that mentality. Sadly, Everything was how can Jesus make your day better? How can you pray to get what you want..how can you have a better day …how can we pray for God to bless us..etc. etc. etc. Unfortunately, this was not even just in one or two churches, this is across the board and hundreds of churches that I’ve been in or visited or knew of and thousands upon thousands upon thousands of Christians that I know. in fact, I know only maybe a few handful that wasn’t like this in 45 years of ministry versus in Islam and other faiths… I do not see this, so yeah.

I am a Christian (Roman Catholic) and I do believe in what the Rabbi says but I would respectfully like to clarify that we are not just waiting to be saved. We also love and serve Adonai by keeping His commandments and by following Jesus' teachings and character and all those good prophets and judges and people before him. But of course as humans we sometimes fall back so we try our best to get back up and fulfill his mission for this world. I do believe that faith and works (in that case doing good deeds) go hand in hand. And yes I do believe we are already saved and that is why I continue to serve God and praise Him as a symbol of my gratitude for His loving kindhearted, blessings, grace and salvation. But it never hurts to pray and ask for forgiveness and even seek divine enlightenment and assistance from Him. I think what he means (and I would 100% agree as a retired pastor and bishop myself). Is that across-the-board as a whole (or in general) yes, Christianity is a more “selfish” religion. Yes, we all know it’s not supposed to be ..as that’s not what God nor Jesus preached, but unfortunately and sadly modern-day Christianity (because it’s been corrupted and twisted and hijacked) has taken on this Personna of “what’s in it for them” and it’s been re-packaged as this. we know not every single Christian 100% across the board is necessarily like that but a huge percentage of them.. I would say at least 75 to 95% of them are like that..or at least that’s the image they present. But this is not even an arguable point because it’s common knowledge. Even in ministry, as pastors we talked about this all the time, but unfortunately many of them they are just as bad or worse so kind of hard to fix when you are part of the problem. It’s no secret most evangelical pastors are in it for the money and even preach money in 95% of their sermons and tithes and giving and brag about their mansions and nice cars and jets etc. …. versus you don’t see this in Islam or Judaism nearly as much…if at all
With all the respect, being Catholic do you follow all the commandments? There is 613 commandments. Also, one of the most questionable is if you follow the commandments, how can you have images and prey to them? God gave the commandments to Jews and there was no images, no sculptures, etc.

Eloquently put and I believe he is a studied man. However, I have never met a Christian that has said that he or she are not to serve God. That said, we are in need of a savior because of our condition. Our condition, that through Adam’s disobedience, we are apart from God from birth. What’s so great about God is he had a plan to redeem us through the work of Christ’s sacrifice. So on one hand we are, because of our condition, in need of a the Savior and on the other hand we are to serve God. Additionally, God has always SAVED. Saved Sarah from being married to Pharoah, saved Lot from death, saved the Jewish people from Pharoah, saved the Jewish people from the Assyrian conquest, etc. The entire Biblical account is God’s redemptive history…

The key word is "service." Does God need us to serve Him? We don't wish God to serve us, as if to make him a servant. But God has everything - and we need much. So, as our heavenly Father, at times, we ask Him for help... for strength and encouragement in an ever demanding and discouraging world, so we can serve God by helping others in His name.

Oh you did not need the burnt offerings, peace offerings as an intermediary to serve God as per the law of Moses..!! You may not need an intermediary to serve God, but you feel you need all of the laws, that have already been fulfilled through Christ Jesus. That’s the real difference in Christianity and Judaism because for us, the law has already been fulfilled, and the curtain was ripped, we all have full access to the savior now, for all who choose to believe.
Jews believe the Mitzvot are for the benefit of mankind, and by doing the Mitzvot, a person is made holy. It doesn't make sense that the laws are fulfilled through Jesus. That would be like saying you can get the benefits of exercise without actually doing any of the actual activity of exercise if you simply "believe".

It actually says the messiah would live a long healthy life and have many children. Jesus was 30 when he died and had zero children and no wife. Make it make sense.

Jesus served people when he was on earth, showing us that our father in Heaven wants to serve us. so it makes sense if you don’t believe in Jesus or “Christianity”. Heaven is here and now w Jesus. Here’s the part I’m kinda confused on Let’s remove Jesus from the picture for this test ( I think people often misrepresent his sacrifice as a free license to sin) Substitution sacrifices was a thing established in the OT, and even as far back as the Books of Moses. Jesus came to show that love is and will be the only way, saving us from thinking any other way will work. The Cross proved love is in all, with all to redeem all, truly respecting God and all God's creation. This is what love does.

I guess I believe in Judaism, even though i know there no such a thing called ( convert ) in Judaism! But i still feel going into Judaism, i remember that when I was speaking to a priest and i told him about how i need to know more about Christianity because i dont believe in islam anymore, he gave me the Bible to read it and he told me to not disturb my self by reading the old testament,, but you know what !! If the Jewish people examined their own Mosaic Covenant outlined in the Torah, how do they not see from Leviticus and Deuteronomy the sacrificial offerings that were made to remit sin. The numerous ordinances regulating the services. How do they not see the foreshadowing it all pointed toward. That God would send His Son to fulfill the law and shed His blood to make propitiation for our sins. Everything in the Torah points to the Anointed One - Christ the Lord. All the feast days speak of Christ. The Temple and it’s furnishings all speak of Christ. Everything speaks of the Son of Man, Prophet, High Priest and King. When we call Him Saviour we call Him by His Name. Read Isaiah 53 and weep as you contemplate the love of God that spared not His only Begotten Son. The Father spared Abraham from offering Isaac but God’s love for us was so boundless He gifted us His Son who bore our judgement so a thrice Holy God could justly pardon us and remain Holy and Just. How can you not see the Beauty of Christ the Messiah.
I think Jesus' job was to lead many to believe in the one God of Israel. I believe otherwise God would have made his name forgotten. Ultimately I don't know from today's time what happened back then over 2000 years ago. After Jesus, only one more prophet has risen, Mohammad... Who regards Jesus as the Messiah, but not as the son of God. With the new religion, billions more people were led to the religion of Abraham. My ancestors were most likely Zoroastrians. With the Islamization of Iran, we have now also become part of the children of Abraham. It is a very exciting but also painful story. But I think we shall surely all come together under the one merciful God.

Not particularly deep Rabbi. Of course Christians believe in serving God and his creation, feeding the poor and so on. It is also central teaching in Hinduism. Not unique to Judaism at all.
I get why he says some of the stuff that he says, it’s very old testament. God does want to dwell with us, but we are not now, or will ever be able to physically commun with God while in these earthly bodies. When we get saved to affirm our faith we avoid future Judgement.

As Jews, we only follow the word of G-d. Well, is not exacly like Rabbi said about Christianity. We Christians believe that God is a healer. When a person suffers from some disease, he goes to a doctor to help him. So a more appropriate question instead of "Do you need a savior" would be "Are you sick"? Do you have any problems in life? Would you like to be cured of this evil that is within you? If a doctor can help you in your life, why not God? If you say you don't need to be saved, no problem. Atheists say that too. @@scars73 That mere 'opinion' has been included in the Scripture by the Holy Spirit, for our instruction. Not just to those early Churches, but for all of us. Rav I love this type of videos. I answered this same question with "God is who saves his people". We don't need any other man, we just need God. What the prophet Yirmiyahu said.. Yir 17:14 I think shows that we depend on him. If God wants to save us he will. I don't know if I am wrong or right, but I feel it makes sense.

That’s why there are Orthodox Christians, on the one hand and then thousands of varieties of Protestants. In much the same way Orthodox Jews aren’t exactly the same in their beliefs and traditions as Reform Jews and Liberal Jews (please forgive any errors in the forms of Judaism).
The Christ is what saves.. it is a consciousness or spirit that lifts you up from this earth. Consciousness can outgrow the material world when it puts on a higher consciousness. Jesus simply lived it and made it flesh as an example to follow. While Jews obsess over their books and waiting to rebuild a Temple made with hands there are those whom are really living as if they are Gods Temple .. created to be in his image.. to allow a higher spirit to dwell in them... the one that lives for the good of all. True life is in spirit it is not subject to death and decay. It is Christ that saves us as an indwelling spirit that is the same essence as God.
Christians have it all wrong about Yushuah & so do the Jewish. I am big believer (despite of my Jewish lineage - on my mother side) as Yushuah as our moshiach. Jesus never claimed to be our savior. That was a distortion of the church. He never claimed to be "the" son of God, but rather "a" son of God, like all mankind.
The saviour is the Christ.. its the spirit in which all mankind live as one body. Jesus lived this. So that is the context of him beign the saviour but its much more deeper than many believe. And sure Jesus is a son of God however referring to him as the Son of God is to reveal God as Spirit only begot one Mind.. that which creates for the good of all.
